Chapter 136: Xia Le Arrives
Xia Yu’s body wasn’t up to much, and also to prevent any unexpected incidents, so after washing up, Xia Yu and Jiang Kekai just stayed at home instead of going anywhere.
As for Xia Yu and Xia Ling’s parents, they had already gone out to work; they knew that this neighborhood was swarming with the Jiang family’s bodyguards, so letting the kids stay at home would be fine.
Like usual, Xia Hong and Wang Wenjuan were too busy to come back home for lunch.

Jiang Kekai got the point instantly and started pushing Xia Yu, following Wang Wenjuan out of the room.
Xia Ling had been enjoying her TV show in the living room until she saw her mother and Xia Yu and Jiang Kekai going into the room, at which point she became curious and followed them. After all, kids her age were known for being curious.
Once the door was closed and assured that no one could hear, Wang Wenjuan asked Xia Yu the pressing question: “Little Yu, does your big brother know about your health issue?”

But Xia Yu answered honestly: “No.”
Indeed, the answer matched Wang Wenjuan’s suspicions. If Xia Le knew, Xia Hong would have been informed already.
Recalling how silly she felt asking Xia Yu about surgery plans in the past, Wang Wenjuan laughed – she had no idea that Xia Yu had already undergone a perfect experiment of it.
“No problem, now that Xia Le will arrive tomorrow, be extra careful when dealing with him. I’m sorry, Mom can’t help you stand up to your father yet, so you’ll just have to endure it for now.”
Then, Miss Jiang casually said, “Don’t worry, Auntie, if you don’t want Little Yu, pass him to me. I’ll take care of him.”
It was truly audacious words from Jiang Kekai, and Wang Wenjuan had no doubt she could pull it off – but Xia Yu was still her child, and she found it safer to keep him herself.
Besides, even if Jiang Kekai supported Xia Yu financially but her parents withdrew their support, it would be awkward. So, Wang Wenjuan smiled politely as she refused Jiang Kekai: “No need, Little Ning. Your family’s already helped us greatly. It’s our responsibility now, not trouble you.”

This time, Xia Yu had no interest in joining them and instead, asked Jiang Kekai, “Sister Kekai, can you help me get to bed? My back hurts from sitting in this wheelchair all day.”

When Jiang Kekai noticed, Xia Yu had already fallen asleep beside her.

So, Jiang Kekai lay down with Xia Yu and pulled the covers up, deciding whether to return to the Jiang family the next day as she slept.
