Chapter 163

### Chapter 163: Miao Wu

Despite being pretty bewildered by Xia Ling’s actions, Xia Yu ultimately didn’t say anything and nodded at her sister before releasing her grip and stepping into the men’s restroom. As expected, the stench hit her like a brick to the face as soon as she walked in, making her immediately cover her nose with her collar to minimize the smell.

No matter how hard she tried, Xia Yu couldn’t help but inhale heaps of foul air, which made her feel queasy beyond belief.

But, because she was so preoccupied with the stink, she didn’t pay attention to the reactions of the males inside. She just stormed straight to the stalls—locked…

Locked…

Locked…

The last stall was locked too.

Totally frustrated, Xia Yu wondered why there was not a single free spot. How was she supposed to use the restroom? The urinals? But she didn’t have those anymore.

At that moment, she realized that all the men inside were looking at her with an astonished gaze, as if they had never seen such a fool before.

Which makes sense, Xia Yu knew her appearance well enough; she definitely didn’t look like your average male. Now with longer hair, she looked even more adorable and feminine. Realizing this, Xia Yu had no choice but to scram out of the restroom in a hurry.

It wasn’t until she met Xia Ling that Xia Yu stopped, catching her breath. She felt like she would have exploded from holding it in if there weren’t so many boys staring at her.

“Why?” Xia Ling asked anxiously. She thought Xia Yu had been chased by a boy.

On looking behind Xia Yu, there was no boy in sight. Only some of the boys were giving her weird looks.

“It’s not that, the restrooms are all occupied.”

Once her breathing steadied, Xia Yu finally answered Xia Ling half-heartedly.

At the same time, Xia Yu wondered to herself, when did she become so anxious about using a men’s restroom? It’s not like she would d*e or something, but then again, Xia Ling’s voice interrupted her thoughts: “There are no empty stalls? Alright, younger sister, you’ll come with me to the women’s bathroom. After all, you are a girl right now.”

“Is that okay?”

Xia Yu hesitated and avoided Xia Ling’s gaze, unsure whether to go to the male or female restroom.

“But what’s wrong? I’ve taken you to the ladies’ room before, so come on, Older Sister will take you.”

Taking Xia Yu by the hand once more, Xia Ling led her directly to the women’s bathroom.

Indeed, while waiting for Xia Yu, Xia Ling had thought it through; if given another chance, she wouldn’t let Xia Yu enter the men’s restroom again. It was far too dangerous.

But what if Xia Yu was reported for entering the women’s restroom?

Xia Ling was prepared with a solution: she could claim responsibility and say it was her idea to bring Xia Yu there, thus protecting Xia Yu.

Unfortunately, this could only be done once. Xia Ling couldn’t tell how long Xia Yu could endure before someone reported her.

When they reached the women’s restroom, the smell was similar to the men’s, but with a hint of something unpleasant. Despite that, Xia Yu felt better than in the men’s restroom.

As opposed to Xia Yu’s reaction to entering the men’s restroom, the girls inside the women’s toilet barely reacted to Xia Yu and Xia Ling arriving. Coincidentally, one of the stalls was empty.

Without hesitation, Xia Ling let Xia Yu go first: “Go ahead and use it first, just like last time, wait for me outside when you’re done.”

“Mm.”

Xia Yu appreciated Xia Ling’s consideration and immediately entered the stall to resolve the issue.

Back outside, Xia Yu waited impatiently. Just then, she ran into Huang Qiao and the other girls.

“Xiao Ling, no, Xia Yu! You’re not a guy, right? What are you doing here?”

Before Huang Qiao could speak, one of the girls nearby blurted out Xia Yu’s school identity, intending to make everyone hear and drive her out of the restroom.

Sure enough, as expected, almost all the girls’ attention turned towards Xia Yu, hoping to hear her explanation.

They hoped it was just a joke, as they didn’t want anyone to catch them chatting up boys in the bathroom.

But Xia Yu remained silent.

Head hung low and face grim, she had no idea what to say.

That’s when Xia Ling hurriedly came out of the stall, worried about Xia Yu’s sudden change in fate. Xia Ling suddenly disliked both Xia Yu and Huang Qiao, thinking they were in on the same bad luck.

Without any hesitation, Xia Ling pulled Xia Yu away while casting a glare at the girl. Without uttering a word, they left the women’s restroom.

Obviously, Xia Ling’s actions implied Xia Yu must be a boy, why else wouldn’t Xia Yu prove otherwise? If Xia Yu was a girl, wouldn’t she have proven it?

“Woah… Are you alright?”

After getting some distance away from the restroom, Xia Ling slowed down and started to worry about Xia Yu’s well-being.

Xia Yu wiped away the tears threatening to spill from her eyes and took a deep breath. “I’m fine.”

Although Xia Yu said she was fine, Xia Ling couldn’t be sure. And she still didn’t know how to comfort Xia Yu.

Suddenly, Xia Ling started to miss Jiang Kekai, the Miss Jiang, who always knew how to cheer Xia Yu up.

Walking back to their classroom, they heard the students talking about Xia Yu in hushed tones.

“Oh, the effeminate boy’s back, needing his big sister to guide him to the loo!”

“That’s embarrassing! Can’t he do anything on his own?”

“Effeminate, effeminate.”

“Yeah.”

Hearing these unmasked discussions, Xia Yu kept quiet, just like before, head down and expression gloomy.

Xia Ling wanted to stop the students but didn’t know how to.

Just as Xia Yu sat down, a boy nearby, with a mischievous smile, burst out, “Effeminate, watch this.”

With incredible speed, the boy lunged towards Xia Yu and…

To her surprise, Xia Yu reacted quickly, grabbing the mischievous hand.

She didn’t stop there. She kicked him hard in the stomach, causing pain to ripple, then continued kicking, her eyes filled with anger.

This kick seemed to light a fuse in Xia Yu, finally setting off her pent-up emotions. This boy was her outlet for frustration.

Painfully clutching his stomach, the boy curled up, trying to stand but failing due to his injuries. No one stepped up to help; they all watched coldly.

Finally, exhausted, Xia Yu threw books and pushed desks and chairs at him before leaving.

She didn’t think much about consequences; she just needed to vent.

This act shocked the entire class, believing Xia Yu to be an easy target. Yet, Xia Yu proved stronger.

Seeing Xia Yu in a rage, He Gongxing, the homeroom teacher, arrived quickly, trying to intervene. Before he could do anything, Xia Yu’s hand left a scratch on his arm.

“What’s going on with your brother?”

He Gongxing, bewildered by Xia Yu’s behavior, turned to Xia Ling.

“He might have a mental illness and is having a breakdown,” Xia Yu replied nervously.

At this point, Xia Ling hoped He Gongxing could help calm Xia Yu down. Otherwise, seeing Xia Yu like this, she felt helpless.

“He’s having a mental episode, huh?” Checking on Xia Yu, who continued tossing desks, He Gongxing called out to the class, “Everyone, get out! Avoid Xia Yu’s outbursts.”

The remaining students fled, leaving Xia Yu alone, raging and destroying desks in the classroom.

Later, He Gongxing contacted Xia Ling’s parents through a phone call.

“Tell me your parents’ phone number; we need to talk with them.”
