### Chapter 199: All-out War
Xia Le walked behind with a deeply solemn expression on his face. Suddenly, he seemed to have understood something and took out his phone to dial Lin Jie’s number. “Xiao Ye, can you help me out?”
Without any fluff, Xia Le got straight to the point.
“What help? Just say. As long as I can do it, no problem.”
“My younger brother has been kicked out of the hospital, and the guy responsible seems quite powerful. Hospitals all over the city refuse treatment because of him. Do you have any way to fix this?”
“What kind of person wields that much power? When I was in charge, I made sure the head doctor gave your brother the best medicine.”
“I don’t know. It’s a Jiang Family old man. He came with the hospital director, and they removed all the medical equipment from my younger brother. Now, my mother is carrying him away.”
“The Jiang Family’s old man, huh? Oh, right, it must be Jiang Heng, the family elder. He’s the only one with that much clout. Don’t worry, go wait by the roadside with your brother. I’ll send someone to pick you up now.”
“Alright.”
Thus ended Xia Le’s conversation with Lin Jie. He quickly ran ahead to tell his mother about their chat and prepare to go back to his family in the Lin Family’s car. Exhausted and resigned, Wang Wenjuan simply accepted her eldest son’s suggestion.
Meanwhile, Lin Jie dialed his father Lin Hai’s number. “Father, we’ve got the latest intel. Jiang Heng is in Peng City. Should we make our move?”
On the other side, Lin Hai was chilling at a karaoke bar when he heard his son’s report, which made him so excited that he smashed his wine glass in his hand. “Of course, we should move! How could we pass up such an opportunity? Where is he now?”
“Just outside Western Heaven Hospital. I think he’s still there.”
“I see.”
So, Peng City started to get lively that night.
True enough, by the roadside, a black sedan stopped steadily in front of Wang Wenjuan. Before she could even open her mouth, the Lin Family driver in his suit got out and opened the door for her so she could get inside with Xia Yu and Xia Ling.
As for Xia Le, of course he went to the passenger seat. After all, how could he sit in the back if Xia Yu was lying down?
The driver, having received information beforehand, didn’t waste any words and headed straight for the Xia Family’s direction.
Yet, neither Xia Le nor the Lin Family driver noticed several cars trailing behind them. They seemed to be tracking.
Wang Wenjuan and Xia Ling held Xia Yu, who remained unconscious, in their arms with deep concern and fear in their hearts. With all hospitals in the city refusing treatment for Xia Ling, they were genuinely terrified she would leave them forever.
It wasn’t far from Western Heaven Hospital to the Xia Family’s place, just about ten minutes away.
After all, Xia Yu had been badly injured near the Xia Family’s complex, so they naturally chose to get her treated nearby, rather than travel all the way across town.
However, when they arrived at the stretch where Xia Yu had been injured, six minivans suddenly appeared and came barreling towards them from the opposite direction.
It was then that Xia Le suddenly remembered; there were many Jiang Family members in that neighborhood. Now heading back was akin to inviting disaster.
But it was too late to change course. Bam!
A resounding crash echoed through the air as the black sedan Xia Yu was in was flipped over and dragged for over ten meters.
Thirty or so small Jiang Family cars instantly surrounded the scene after the accident.
“Xia Ling!”
A clear voice rang out from a luxurious car. Yes, that was Jiang Hanhang’s voice.
After struggling fiercely, Jiang Hanhang finally bit the female bodyguard holding her, allowing her to break free. Instantly, she rushed toward Xia Ling’s car to check on her status.
Through the shattered window, she saw Xia Ling and Wang Wenjuan had no visible wounds, suggesting they might only be unconscious. Feeling relieved, Jiang Hanhang couldn’t help but wonder why she was so worried about Xia Ling—an inexplicable sentiment.
Turning to look at Xia Yu, severely injured and lying between Xia Ling and Wang Wenjuan, her condition seemed dire; bl**d was seeping from her nose and mouth. Xia Yu had a serious intermediate lung injury, and moving her would be extremely risky.
Indeed, after the massive collision and subsequent rollover, Xia Yu had no chance but to jostle her already severe wounds.
Both the Lin Family driver and Xia Le were not badly hurt since they had been wearing seat belts and had airbags protecting them. Like Xia Ling and Wang Wenjuan, they simply fainted.
Seeing this, Jiang Hanhang began prying open the door to rescue them, but a Jiang Family bodyguard pulled her back at Jiang Heng’s command.
Jiang Heng had ordered his men to intercept them to cut off their chances, so naturally he wouldn’t let Jiang Hanhang help.
At once, all the Jiang Family members exited their vehicles, though only some carried weapons. After all, there were just a few opponents.
Seeing everyone in Xia Yu’s car was unconscious, Jiang Heng was about to give the order to finish them off swiftly and depart quickly.
But then, continuous impacts of vehicles were heard—the Lin Family arriving with backup. There were sixty in total.
Indeed, Peng City was Rulin territory. To stop Jiang Heng from escaping, Lin Hai managed to mobilize so many people while in transit.
Following the impacts, the Lin Family members rushed out swiftly, each wielding a baton, fully intent on taking down this band of Jiang Family members.
They opted for traditional cold weapons due to the risk of firearms being deemed illegal use by law enforcement later on.
Such a large-scale event certainly couldn’t be hidden, and law enforcement would no doubt intervene soon. Both families knew they needed to wrap things up quickly.
At that moment, Lin Hai, smoking in a luxurious black sedan, observed the chaos calmly through the window. The Rulin assault was fierce, but the Jiangs weren’t pushovers. Non-combatants promptly armed themselves and countered.
In the meantime, Jiang Heng crouched slightly, ordering his bodyguards to retreat under a black umbrella. No one dared assume Lin Hai wouldn’t use a firearm and put a b*llet in Jiang Heng’s skull.
If that happened, it mattered little what the outcome of the clash would be; the Lin Family would emerge victorious either way.
The tumultuous situation stirred up frustration within Jiang Hanhang. Biting her own bodyguard again, she dashed out to save her. As the second daughter of the Jiang Family, her presence immediately drew the attention of many Lin family members eager to apprehend her.
Aware of this, the Lin Family doubled efforts to protect her. Consequently, Jiang Hanhang successfully dragged Xia Ling out of the overturned car amidst great difficulty.
Perhaps alarmed by the commotion or shaken by Jiang Hanhang’s movement, Xia Ling began to stir back to consciousness.
Suddenly, Xia Ling seemed to notice something, widened her eyes, and pushed Jiang Hanhang out of the way. “Move!”
Next second, a baton struck Xia Ling’s left arm, sending her flying a couple of meters away.
At that moment, Jiang Hanhang, emerging from her daze, realized what Xia Ling had done. Xia Ling had saved her.
Her heart troubled seeing Xia Ling suffering, Jiang Hanhang felt helpless. She didn’t know what to do anymore.
Then, a baton smacked her own back and head, leaving her to black out alongside Xia Ling.
Just as the law enforcement team captain returned home, he received news about the large melee involving cold weapons fought between the Lin and Jiang Families on Guangyang Avenue.
He thought Rulin and Jiang’s relationship was smooth after learning they had handed twenty-one individuals to Jiang Kekai earlier. But now everything had escalated.
However, the captain quickly regained focus and efficiently ordered, “Immediately block the area and prevent anyone entry, especially journalists. Stay online to monitor news and videos. Delete anything related promptly, and don’t enter the scene until after the clash ends.”
This wasn’t the first time he’d dealt with such incidents; he’d picked up some skills on handling them to maintain his position.
Back at Western Heaven Hospital’s VIP room 404, where they couldn’t find Xia Yu, Jiang Kekai and Xia Hong were getting anxious.
They immediately sought out the Head Doctor.
Upon seeing Jiang Kekai, the doctor knew better than to hesitate. “Jiang Lao came earlier and removed their equipment, and he advised all the city’s bigger hospitals not to admit or treat them.”
