Chapter 206: Again……
Jiang Kekai had called someone to pick them up in a minibus, which meant that they could all fit in one vehicle without needing another car for help. In this way, everyone successfully and safely reached Jiang Kekai’s company.
It seemed that the medical staff were prepared because of a prior notice from Jiang Kekai, so as soon as everyone got off the bus, medical personnel with stretchers came forward in a very professional manner.
Seeing the stretcher, Jiang Kekai, not wanting Xia Yu to suffer more, agreed for the medical staff to take Xia Yu upstairs instead of holding her themselves anymore. Thankfully, everything went smoothly, and Xia Yu was taken to a room and re-equipped with medical instruments.
During this time, resilient Xia Yu did not have an episode.
Noticing Xia Hong, who hadn’t slept for nearly two days and was quite tired, Jiang Kekai hesitated for a moment before giving him a suggestion: “Uncle, there are several empty rooms next door. Would you like to rest there?”

As for Wang Wenjuan, Jiang Kekai also proposed for her to rest, but she declined, preferring to stay and keep Xia Yu company. There wasn’t much Jiang Kekai could do. She could only let her stay.
Late at night, suddenly, Jiang Kekai remembered something and looked at the hand-in-hand Jiang Hanhang and Xia Ling: “Do you two need a room to rest? Staying up late isn’t good.”
“Sure.”
Before Xia Ling could even speak, Jiang Hanhang quickly agreed.
The reason was simple; with Wang Wenjuan around, they couldn’t freely talk. So, staying in a room together was better. Besides, it didn’t make sense for everyone to be on standby late at night. Xia Yu wasn’t dying; maintaining daily routines was necessary.
Thus, Jiang Hanhang and Xia Ling left together and were taken to another ward to rest for the night.
Hospital beds are surely less comfortable than home beds, but given the circumstances, Jiang Hanhang and Xia Ling had to make do. With no others around, their stress somewhat reduced.
It was at this moment that Jiang Hanhang dared to ask Xia Ling about her injured left arm, still in a cast: “Is your arm okay? Thanks for yesterday.”
“That’s right. Jiang Hanhang was asking out of guilt for Xia Ling’s current state. But she reassured her: “Don’t worry, there was no other choice at the time. I’ll be fine after resting.”
Seeing this caring attitude in Xia Ling, Jiang Hanhang smiled and patted her back with her right hand, indicating she was fine.

With Xia Ling and Jiang Hanhang leaving, now in Xia Yu’s room were Jiang Kekai, Wang Wenjuan, and Xia Le.
Knowing that Wang Wenjuan and Xia Le were there, Jiang Kekai felt a bit restrained from talking privately with Xia Yu. Reluctantly, Jiang Kekai sat beside Xia Yu and held her hand quietly.
At midnight, Xia Le couldn’t stand it anymore, bid farewell to his mother Wang Wenjuan, and wanted to leave.
Of course, Wang Wenjuan inevitably asked Xia Le where he was going. Given all that had happened recently, she wanted to ensure her eldest son didn’t end up like Xia Yu.
“I have some business with Lin’s friend. I want to meet them,” replied Xia Le.
Since the Lin family had helped, and Lin Jie wanted to see Xia Le, Wang Wenjuan couldn’t say anything except give Xia Le bus fare with a cautionary note to be careful.
During this conversation, Jiang Kekai listened carefully. Finally, she understood that the Lin family’s involvement might be crucial. While she didn’t know their exact reason for helping, Jiang Kekai felt grateful, hoping she could return the favor someday.
Only Wang Wenjuan and Jiang Kekai remained to watch over Xia Yu, who eventually fell asleep. Wang Wenjuan decided she needed to talk to Jiang Kekai about some matters. So she tapped her shoulder and gestured to leave the room.
Jiang Kekai got the clue, stood up slightly, and gently released Xia Yu’s hand to go outside with Wang Wenjuan.
Little did they know, Xia Yu’s hand that Jiang Kekai had let go, twitched as if reaching for something.
But Xia Yu continued sleeping, and her unease grew even while unconscious.
“What’s wrong?”

“Wang Wenjuan wants to know why Granny is targeting Xiao Yu. Did something happen when Xiao Yu visited your house last time?”
Jiang Kekai sighed; there were many possibilities but nothing specific. She guessed that Xia Yu must have offended Jiang Heng during her stay.
However, Jiang Kekai shook her head, denying the speculation: “No, Xiao Yu didn’t do anything wrong. It’s just that my grandfather disapproves of what happens with Xiao Yu.”
Thinking about it, Jiang Kekai wished her grandfather could understand Xia Yu like her father did, then perhaps Xia Yu wouldn’t be hurt so seriously.
As feared, it didn’t take long before Xia Yu started coughing in her bed.

“Sit down,” invited Lin Jie, slapping the empty seat beside him.
Xia Le didn’t mind and sat, curious: “Why are you calling me out this late at night?”
“Your brother needs medical support. We won’t just watch. Whatever you need, just say the word. Can’t admit him to the hospital? That’s fine; we can get something done instead,” Lin Jie grinned.
