Chapter 225: Go, Little Yu!
The next day turned out to be just as Jiang Kekai had promised. Early in the morning, she quietly got up, began brushing her teeth, and then proceeded to change clothes without a care, even though Xia Yu was still in the room.
However, all the rustling sounds woke Xia Yu up eventually.
As Xia Yu opened her eyes, she found herself staring at Jiang Kekai who was busy. Instantly, she perked up. Jiang Kekai, being quite sensitive, seemed to sense that someone was looking at her and turned around!
Sure enough, at this moment, Xia Yu the cute little fox was peeking out from beneath the blanket, her face all shy with big round eyes looking back. Noticing that she had been discovered, Xia Yu hurriedly covered herself completely again with the blanket, and let’s just say… she was such a silly one.

Jiang Kekai didn’t actually want to scare Xia Yu; she was just playing around. So she got up quickly and started to tidy up the blankets, saying, “Alright, Little Yu, go have your bath and change your clothes, we’ll set off shortly.”
Suddenly, Jiang Kekai remembered something and looked at Xia Yu’s stomach, asking with concern, “Little Yu, do you still feel unwell? If you’re not feeling well, then rest at home.”
Being concerned by Jiang Kekai, Xia Yu’s face flushed slightly. Fortunately, there were no outsiders around, or it would have been quite awkward. But Xia Yu soon snapped back and replied, “I’m fine, Little Ning Sister. Wait for me, I’ll be quick!”
Having said that, Xia Yu leaped off the bed, put on her shoes, and ran out the door. Clearly, she felt fine. However, Jiang Kekai reminded her once more from behind, “Little Yu, remember to use warm water, don’t use cold water.”

Suddenly, Xia Yu came back, opened a drawer with a flustered look, took something out, and left again. Today, they were heading to multiple companies for inspection, and naturally, Jiang Kekai put on her smart, small suit, not wanting to dress up in a skirt for such occasions.
As for Xia Yu, Jiang Kekai let her dress however she wanted, whether it be men’s or women’s clothing—she wouldn’t force her into a dress right now.
Just imagine, would anyone want their girlfriend dressed in a dress to give others a peep show? If someone does, well, they probably don’t truly love their girlfriend.
Needless to say, Xia Yu wouldn’t obediently choose a dress but opted for a casual men’s outfit provided by Jiang Kekai. Finally, Xia Yu hung the work ID Jiang Kekai gave her to her neck, somehow feeling confident with it on. At least she felt that way when Jiang Kekai was around.
After getting dressed, Jiang Kekai and Xia Yu headed out. The house was quiet since Xia Hong and Wang Wenjuan had gone to work, Xia Le was still sleeping like a lazy bone, and Xia Ling and Jiang Hanhang were likely doing something in their rooms unknown to them. But what did it matter anyway?
Early in the morning and having eaten nothing, Jiang Kekai decided to take Xia Yu for an extravagant breakfast before heading to the company. Seriously, Xia Yu was a bit worried that her appetite might get spoiled by her Little Ning Sister, wondering if she could eat anything else in the future.
Thinking about it, Xia Yu was gently woken up by Jiang Kekai, “Little Yu, thinking of something? We’re here, come out. Without waiting for Xia Yu’s reaction, Jiang Kekai grabbed her hand and walked her out.
By then, Xia Yu realized that they had arrived. Looking at the skyscraper, it indeed had the same style as the company where the last trip had turned embarrassing. It was lavish, matching her Little Ning Sister’s company standards.
But recalling the embarrassing incident from last time, Xia Yu felt a bit awkward and hoped it wouldn’t happen again. She was really trying hard to be a good secretary for Little Ning Sister.
Xia Yu then followed Jiang Kekai through the front doors, despite wearing men’s clothing. It was clear their job held significance.
Jiang Kekai pulled Xia Yu along, whispering, “Let’s go, Little Yu. You can look around later, now’s not the time.”
Since Jiang Kekai said so, Xia Yu complied and focused on following her lead. They immediately received a lot of attention due to Xia Yu’s work ID, which must have been impressive.
Xia Yu originally wanted to hide behind her Little Ning Sister, but realizing she needed to handle these looks professionally, she decided to embrace her discomfort head-on. Her cheeks burned furiously, showing her deep-seated insecurities.
Feeling Xia Yu’s tension, Jiang Kekai patted her head, rewarding her strength. Thus, Jiang Kekai took Xia Yu to her private office.
The office already contained a work desk, but Jiang Kekai had previously instructed an additional desk and computer for her secretary. Xia Yu now had her own workspace, albeit empty except for the desktop.
She was very obedient, mimicking what she had learned. After Jiang Kekai sat down, Xia Yu began fetching water, “Boss, please… drink.”
Jiang Kekai found this amusing, “Little Yu, what did you call me?” “B…Boss.”
Xia Yu stole a glance at her Little Ning Sister and quickly returned her gaze, wondering if she did something wrong.
According to the book, one should treat the boss with respect during work, no matter the relationship. Jiang Kekai laughed, “Relax, Little Yu. Follow your heart. Otherwise, things will get too formal.”

Seeing that Jiang Kekai wasn’t upset, Xia Yu’s eyes lit up with relief. First-day jitters were overwhelming her.
“Alright, Little Yu. That’s your workstation. Play whatever game you like while I review the company’s recent data. See you if there’s something to discuss.”

Xia Yu was compliant. She sat down at her station and opened the computer quickly.
Truth be told, Xia Yu didn’t particularly enjoy games. Growing up without a computer at home, she knew nothing about them aside from a few casual rounds of Match-3. “Little Yu, take these documents to office 402 on the fourth floor and tell He Xin they’re approved.”
Jiang Kekai could have called an assistant but decided to give Xia Yu a chance.

Xia Yu was still unsure, seeking reassurance once more.
“Yes, Little Yu, you’ve got this. I believe in you.”
“Mm-hm, Little Ning Sister, you can count on me.”
Despite everything, Xia Yu felt quite confident today.
