By evening, both in formal attire, they finally managed to wrap things up in Peng City and Demon City. They just had enough time for dinner.

“If there’s trouble?”
“We’re covered. You’ll be back soon too,” Xia Hong clarified.
Seeing Jiang Kekai’s affection for Xia Yu, Xia Hong wondered if this was Xia Yu’s lucky charm—such a thoughtful girl, rich too.
Knowing Xia Hong’s stance, Jiang Kekai reluctantly sighed, “Little Yu, do you remember what I told you?”
Xia Yu nodded obediently.
“Good, take care of yourself.”
Watching these two, Xia Le felt a pang of nostalgia, cleared his plate, and left.
The next day was Sunday, and Jiang Kekai indulged with Xia Yu, Xia Ling, and Jiang Hanhang shopping. Having missed out during the long break, Jiang Kekai felt a surge of joy spending time with the “little ones.” Plus, she’d never been fond of Xia Yu’s messy hairstyle.
After Xia Yu got a botched haircut earlier, she resolved to spruce up Xia Yu’s appearance. Jiang Kekai led the girls into a fancy salon, the best in town.
