### Chapter 3: The Start of Expanding Your Network
Not every civilian Star Holder is clueless like the old Night Star—or even Night Lan. Nor do they ignore things entirely.
For instance, some Star Holders dive deep into star-related trivia without so much as a smidge of professional knowledge, allowing them to identify new fellow star buffs in no time.
Upon encountering someone else with stars, they might eagerly approach, invite a chat about these celestial phenomena, and flaunt their uniqueness, all with the aim of getting something in return.
This is what many star organizations do—swoop up brand-new recruits to do their bidding.
Of course, it’s vital to avoid being spotted by the Night Watchers.
The Night Watchers’ patrol isn’t negligible. Though they cannot cover the whole city around the clock, stumbling into one is still a possibility.
And these Watchers aren’t keen on seeing any groups poach star holders for ulterior motives.
Especially if those motives involve unlawful activity.
Night Star now harbors suspicions about this young lady’s intentions.
Could she be inviting them into some weird organization?
Just as Night Star was pondering this, Luo Xiquan spoke up again: “I have no shady motives at all, just want to get to know you all. You look like first-timers around here, and I’m a regular. How about I give you a tour?”
Night Star paused briefly.
“Uh… your intention is to make friends with us?”
“Oh…”
The silver-haired loli’s straightforward question made Luo Xiquan feel a tad flustered.
Actually, that’s not far off. She simply wants to be friends with these uniquely beautiful girls.
Luo Xiquan’s mood brightens just watching these cute girls act cute.
In the end, it’s pure heartstrings pulling.
Sometimes, the simplest reason is friendship itself.
“Yes.”
Luo Xiquan conceded.
Night Star mulled the thought over for a moment and nodded, “Alright, the three of us really are new here, and we’re clueless. If you can show us around, thank you so much.”
“Really?”
“Well, I’d say I’m somewhat the type who enjoys making friends.”
Expanding your network after moving to a new place is crucial—especially overcoming social anxiety.
It’s vital for every star holder.
This girl seems pretty decent; a bit naive, almost a true student.
Then it’s worth a try interacting.
So, there they were, the Theater Group plus a student making up the troupe.
Luo Xiquan led the way and asked, “How should I address you?”
“Uhm, call me Night Star.”
Night Star casually revealed her name, seemingly unfazed by any risk of exposure.
Seeing this, Lianhua and Kong Yu Bai followed suit.
“Nice to meet you, I’m Lianhua.”
“Just call me Kong Yu Bai.”
Upon hearing their names, Luo Xiquan visibly perked up.
“In fact, I came here to buy something for my friend. I visit this place often, thus I know it well. I prefer the food and entertainment district and art districts. They are my interests.”
“Huh, interesting.”
Night Star started to engage more.
“So, Night Star, you like anime?”
“Yeah, I love it.”
“What shows do you watch? Give some examples.”
“Uh… like, ‘X’ and ‘XX.'”
Night Star casually listed two favorites.
Hearing this, Luo Xiquan gasped.
“How coincidental! I read both novels. Full sets at home—really good!”
“Oh, how coincidental.”
Night Star felt Luo Xiquan was even more anime than herself.
While she just watches anime, reading related novels isn’t in her vocabulary. Not exactly the most devoted manga fan.
Such is the life of a student.
With energy and youth, anything feels possible.
Night Star reminisces—she used to be a jaded office worker not long ago. Those student days sure were fond memories…
Now knowing Night Star’s interests, Luo Xiquan knew where to go next.
“If you like those works, shall we check out some related merchandise? I know a spot that sells top-notch goods—I’d say they are the crème de la crème.”
“Sure! Really interested!”
Night Star visited hoping for an atmosphere and also desired to purchase some collectibles.
Luo Xiquan led them into a shop.
Upon entry, Night Star saw familiar anime figures, eyes sparkling with desire.
“Oh, can’t wait to take them all home.”
Luo Xiquan smiled, “Great reviews, best of the best products. A bit pricey, but truly rewarding for lovers, you’ll recognize their beauty, right?”
“Sure do!”
Night Star approached a life-size figure of a loli character, heart skipping a beat.
“So cute! Can’t wait to take her home!”
Luo Xiquan looked at the doll Night Star coveted.
“Not bad taste, Night Star. This figure is very high quality, many want one but cost is astronomical—few can afford.”
Hearing this, Night Star checked the price, shocked.
“Wow, expensive!”
Price could drain all she had.
That means, with her current funds, buying would barely be possible, leading to a dirt-eating existence until possibly getting bailed out by a rich woman.
Nope, not going to happen.
Kong Yu Bai noticed the struggle and said, “I can buy it for you, Night Star.”
“Huh?”
Night Star paused, then shook head.
“Thanks, but no need. Other than collecting and viewing, there’s no other use. Besides, unsure where to put one large enough.”
“Okay?”
“It’s fine, truly. Key is viewing, I’ve already got a cute loli, Lianhua, no need for such a big one.”
As she said this, Night Star hugged Lianhua affectionately.
Seeing this, Luo Xiquan chuckled.
Lil’ loli cuteness, indeed a delight.
Especially with Night Star—silver hair red eyes, really hits the heart, just makes her swoon.
