### Chapter 21: The Ultimate Under the Sun
When the Night Watcher learned that the Sunset Research Institute planned to forcibly search the Calligraphy and Painting Entertainment District, the relevant departments had already notified the management of this entertainment area to implement lockdown measures.
At the same time, people within the Calligraphy and Painting Entertainment District received information that major renovations were about to take place, advising them to leave quickly and come back another day.
As a result, the already sparsely populated entertainment district became even more desolate.
Shortly after, the Star Eclipses’ aura arrived. A group of people surged into the Calligraphy and Painting Entertainment Area, looking fierce and ill-intentioned.
Leading them were two men and one woman, all exuding an uncomfortable energy from the Star Eclipses.
Even their companions kept their distance, not daring to get too close.
The Sunset Research Institute inserted Star Eclipse power into the body of the Star Holders, allowing individuals to maintain human thoughts while using the power of the Star Eclipses, thus greatly increasing their strength.
This kind of existence was called Artificial Star Eclipses.
But Star Eclipses were still incompatible with ordinary humans.
Under normal conditions, Stars and Star Eclipses repelled each other.
Thus, when the Institute’s other Star Holders got close to these three Artificial Star Eclipses, there was a high chance their star eclipse aura would corrode them.
To operate safely, they needed to maintain a certain distance.
As they looked at the abandoned streets, members of the Research Institute seemed to grasp something.
“d*mn it, the Night Watchers have begun to act. They dispersed the crowd here using their authority, but I don’t know if the target is still around.”
“According to intel, the target may have been in this area all along. Since they’re not tourists, there’s a good chance they’re still here.”
“So we start searching right away, no exceptions.”
The arrow was on the string and couldn’t be held back any longer.
Now, the Institute’s research outcomes had long been released, leaving them with no way out.
To verify some research findings, only real battle data could advance the next steps.
The Institute unleashed three Artificial Star Eclipses, not just to deal with the Night Watchers’ disruption, but also to fight them and obtain combat data from the Artificial Star Eclipse individuals.
This would not only aid in progress but potentially locate the missing top experiment subject.
Win-win for sure!
For the Institute’s researchers and their investors, that top individual was what they desperately wanted.
To acquire her, they were even willing to go against the Night Watchers.
Even Night Watchers couldn’t stop their research into immortality!
“Split up and search every building thoroughly. Bring suspicious individuals here, and use Star Power if necessary to subdue them!”
No sooner had the words left his mouth than the Sunfall Research Institute’s Star Holders dispersed, ready to sweep this place clean.
In a sense, they had already become untouchable.
Once an organization equaled the city’s top law enforcement in terms of power, fear ceased to exist.
Plus, their backing was immense, even beyond the Night Watchers’ reach.
While other Research Institutes scoured different areas, the three Artificial Star Eclipse individuals waited in place.
Their job was to fight. As soon as they saw Night Watchers attacking, they would retaliate.
That was their order.
And mere seconds after the Sunfall Institute’s Star Holders dispersed, numerous strong powers rushed in from all directions—patrol Night Watchers from across the city and combat personnel from the Night Watcher Base.
Hover cars suspended midair; many shadows emerged from every corner and stared at the trio of Artificial Star Eclipser.
Black Yang stepped out of a car, calmly eyeing the three with Star Eclipse auras.
“For the rest, apprehend criminals. If they resist, use force, including necessary lethal force. Do not hesitate.”
After receiving orders, the Night Watchers split and charged toward those with Stars’ aura.
Who was preying on who?
This show was about to unfold.
Tiny Black Yang approached the trio of Artificial Star Eclipsers, squinting slightly.
“What happened to you? You look neither human nor ghost. Dare to accept Star Eclipse power, afraid of losing yourself?”
Hearing this, Experiment Subject No.3 responded in a stiff voice, “Back off if you dare hinder Institute actions. We’re much stronger than Night Watchers now. You’re no match.”
Black Yang couldn’t help but chuckle.
“It seems your mind is already corrupted by Star Eclipse power. Speaking like a lunatic, dare to put half-baked experimental subjects into battle? Your institute really has guts.”
Though Black Yang was smiling, there was no warmth in his eyes.
His sunny smile felt like a burning deathtrap rather than comfort.
Above hung the sun. Under its radiant glare, Black Yang’s aura soared and temperatures rose rapidly.
Despite his short stature, in this moment, he seemed as towering as a giant, commanding a terrifying presence, no one dared meet his gaze.
Black Yang took a step forward. His aura made the air around twist, his grin unchanged.
“Stronger than the Sunlight Night Watchers? Where did you Institute get those stats? Who gave you the nerve? How dare you provoke us with such half-baked experiments? Don’t get overconfident.”
Seeing Black Yang approaching, Experiment Subject No.3 launched himself forward, as fast as a cannonball.
Fused with Ultra Star Eclipse [Earth Symbiosis], his weight merged with the earth—the only way to bring him down was to unleash the forces of the ground. Who could manage that?
His enemies too had to face the entire Earth’s impact; no human could withstand such an attack.
Experiment Subject No.3 believed even the Sunlight Night Watchers couldn’t endure it.
“d*e!”
“Laugh.”
Black Yang reined in his smile, clenched a fist, and suddenly appeared beneath Experiment Subject No.3, smashing his chin.
Boom!
A deafening explosion echoed through the area.
Hundreds of meters of land crumbled open, symbolizing the earth’s tear.
Experiment Subject No.3 shot skyward like a rocket, disappearing into the blue skies.
Long after…
a twisted, charred human form fell from the sky, landing heavily and barely recognizable.
Black Yang pondered this scene.
“d*mn… didn’t blow up? Seems sturdy; usual Night Watchers might actually fail to take him down.”
Upon hearing Black Yang’s voice, the remaining two Artificial Star Eclipses froze.
A single strike… they were defeated by a single strike from someone of equal power!
What kind of fiends are these Night Watchers?
Musing, Mo Qianmeng nodded thoughtfully; she wasn’t as surprised. Maybe this was already anticipated.
“As expected, Master Black Yang.”
Though he’s a bit troublesome, he fights fiercely—indeed, the ultimate under the sun.
