### Chapter 246: The Young Lady Has Arrived
Since the little baby wouldn’t nap, they all ditched their afternoon siestas. Wei Yin, the big sister, led the way as they all settled on the bed to watch movies instead.

But Xia Hong laughed nervously and declined, “No thanks, you guys enjoy. I’m a bit exhausted and need to head back to the car.” After stopping the old grandpa from pouring more beer, Xia Hong really did grab his keys and headed out to catch a quick nap. It wasn’t just habit; it was survival.
Down at Xia Family Village, rows of black luxury cars arrived. With no proper parking lot, each car had to find its own spot. Seeing familiar faces, Jiang Kekai didn’t need directions and walked with a group of bodyguards towards Xia Yu’s house.
Jiang Kekai’s arrival was hard to miss. Some old-timers in the village remembered her. They recalled seeing her with Xia Yu after the Spring Festival. “I remember now, Xia Yu and this girl were seen together, looking quite friendly.” “Yes, Xia Yu even rode in the car with her. How time flies, huh?”
The elders’ conversation was loud, and Jiang Kekai overheard. But she smiled and ignored them, leading her sister Jiang Hanhang towards Xia Yu’s home.
Her sister in tow, with all the bodyguards, Jiang Kekai replied, “This is Xia Yu and Xia Ling’s village, Hanhan. The air is so fresh here. And cool!”

Right off the bat, Jiang Kekai felt a cool breeze and immediately headed straight to Xia Yu and Xia Ling’s house. The two elder sisters, knowing this house well, quickly spotted Xia Yu’s old wardrobe and Xia Yu’s grandma’s freshly cooked corn porridge, left to cool down.
Jiang Kekai took Jiang Hanhang and the bodyguards upstairs to Xia Ling’s room, pointing at a door and saying, “This is Xia Ling’s room. Ready to see it?”
Eagerly, Jiang Hanhang opened the door and stepped inside.
Knowing what was next, Jiang Kekai led them to Xia Yu’s sparse room. She looked around the bare walls with dismay. Her precious Xia Yu didn’t deserve such a humble place.
The bodyguards, who knew how close Jiang Kekai was with Xia Yu, shared her disappointment. They had hoped Xia Yu’s room would be more luxurious. Instead, it was just a simple, rundown room—bare and unadorned.
Determined, Jiang Kekai walked over to Xia Yu’s wardrobe. She found Xia Yu still had many old clothes from Xia Le. This discovery made her face darken.
“Get these old clothes out,” Jiang Kekai ordered, pulling out one of Xia Yu’s dresses, “and bring in everything I’ve prepared.”
“Yes, Miss!”
Hired hands sprang into action as Jiang Kekai had planned. They’d renovate Xia Yu’s room. Air conditioners, new furniture, wall paper—everything would be upgraded. This would be her surprise for Xia Yu.
If Xia Yu’s room lacked an AC, then an AC it would get. Walls not painted nicely? Wallpaper was the solution. Luxurious furniture and all the modern comforts—she’d handle it all.
Curious villagers who witnessed the lock-picking incident were about to call the authorities when they watched a convoy of five large trucks roll in. They were there to replace furniture and give the whole place a fresh look. Jiang Kekai didn’t mind spending; she wasn’t comfortable until everything was perfect.
Meanwhile, Jiang Hanhang wondered out loud, “Sis, don’t you think this might make Xia Hong angry?”
Jiang Kekai replied, “Angry? Let him! I’ll take Xia Yu right back to the city.” With a carefree smile, Jiang Kekai lounged on the new sofa, her feet up, showing off the new interior.
Suddenly, a bodyguard approached Jiang Kekai with a query, “Ma’am, should we tidy up the other rooms?”
Jiang Kekai knew those belonged to Xia Le and Xia Hong, “Leave them alone.”
Afterwards, the bodyguards spruced up the entire house, including replacing old furniture and cleaning everything.
This wasn’t part of their job description, but they enjoyed it. After all, Miss Jiang’s generous salary left them wanting to do anything to please her.
