Chapter 30: Not Easy to Fool Around
In a certain room at the Night Watcher Base in Yun Chang City.
Night Lan was hanging out with a few little Lolis.
“You know what I found online? There’s this interesting city called Qi Yuan City. It’s a really cool place.”
Now, she planned to share what Night Star had seen in Qi Yuan City.
Of course, she needed to change her story a bit so as not to spill the beans too much.
Being so detailed would give everything away. Clearly, she had always been in Yun Chang City yet spoke about Qi Yuan City as if it were her second home.
The few little Lolis in the room were also very curious about what Night Lan had to say.
“Do you know what Qi Yuan City is?”
“Qi Yuan City?”
White Fish and the others were puzzled; they hadn’t heard of the name before.
They were still young and didn’t have the adult knowledge or memory of every city in the country.
Though, one of the Lolis seemed to remember vaguely.
“I know,” said Neko Shinna, raising her hand naively.
“I read a lot of recipes from there, and apparently, the food industry there is quite advanced.”
Night Lan nodded.
“Yes! There are five entertainment districts, each with its own specialty, completely different from the comprehensive entertainment district in Yun Chang City. And when I was surfing online, I noticed that there was an entertainment district perfect for Shinna!”
“Is it the food entertainment district?”
“Yes, exactly. With your cooking skills, you would be the most popular chef over there. After all, who wouldn’t love a cute loli who can cook?”
Hearing this, Neko Shinna chuckled. “If I ever get the chance, I’d love to explore that city. There must be a lot of amazing chefs there. Learning from them sounds like a great idea.”
Then, Star Yoon suddenly chimed in, “Is there a gaming entertainment zone?”
“No, but there is a specialized game entertainment district. You’re a gamer, right? That place seems like it would be perfect for you.”
“Alright, noted. Next time Shinna goes to Qi Yuan City, make sure to bring back some fun games.”
Star Yoon didn’t like traveling far away, and preferred staying home and enjoying her own little world.
If there were new games, she could just have someone bring them back.
Night Star then continued sharing other aspects of Qi Yuan City.
Like the massive library that housed countless books and the large art museum showcasing masterpieces by famous artists.
Also, the diverse and vibrant film and television entertainment district and the ultra-high-energy music entertainment district filled with rich musical elements.
All of these places seemed pretty interesting to visit.
The Lolis were immediately drawn to Night Lan’s description.
After she finished, Zero Meow couldn’t help but question.
“Hmm? Are you saying you’ve been to that city? You sound like you’ve visited it yourself.”
Hearing this, Night Lan froze momentarily.
She forgot to cover her tracks.
“Ehem… It’s all in your imagination, dear. Why would I visit that city? I just stumbled upon it online and got quite intrigued.”
“Is that so, meow?”
Although Zero Meow was skeptical, her trust in Night Lan put her doubts to rest.
How could such a cute little angel possibly lie?
“Yeah, definitely!”
“Oh meow~ Speaking of which, there’s a really popular song circulating in the music world, sung by this Starry Sky Songstress. Her voice reminds me a lot of yours.”
As soon as she finished speaking, the other Lolis turned their gaze towards Night Lan almost simultaneously.
They already knew that Night Lan was the Starry Sky Songstress.
“Why didn’t you tell us earlier that there was a new song? And we don’t even know when it was recorded. It felt like you deliberately kept us in the dark.”
Zero Meow sounded a bit annoyed, as if she was upset at her best friend for keeping this a secret.
Night Lan couldn’t explain much, so she tried to evade the issue.
“Can you believe me if I say I just forgot?”
“You need to come up with better excuses, meow! Let’s see you try my tickle attack!”
Before long, Zero Meow pounced on Night Lan like a wildcat, starting to roughhouse the sweet little angel.
It was all to find a good excuse for cuddling!
“What?! Oh no!”
Seeing this, White Fish rushed to stop them but was pulled into the fray by Zero Meow.
“Jump in too, meow!”
Neko Shinna and Star Yoon originally wanted to watch silently, but a mysterious force dragged them into “the battle.” The room quickly descended into chaos, filled with the cute giggles of girls.

A quick turn of attention.
After talking to a few veteran Night Watchers, Mo Tu left the guest room.
Their conversation revolved around common knowledge, which was frankly boring.
Ever since Night Star and the Rising Sun Theater Group left the city, Yun Chang City had lost some of its excitement.
Even with Night Lan still around, things weren’t as exhilarating as before.
Perhaps it was just too calm now?
Thinking thus, Mo Tu headed to the rooftop to make a phone call to someone.
Mo Tu stood quietly at the edge of the rooftop, his eyes reflecting the city below.
Soon, the person on the other end of the call answered.
“Hello, cousin. How are you doing recently? I heard you became a Sunlight Night Watcher in some city and have made quite a name for yourself.”
“…”
The person hesitated on the other end.
“It’s actually a cousin.”
“Huh? What do you mean?”
“I guessed as much; you wouldn’t remember anyone uninteresting. But ignoring our bl**d relation is going too far.”
“Ah, it’s a cousin?”
Mo Tu’s tone revealed surprise, which irritated his cousin.
Mo Qianmeng snapped back, “What do you want? If you’re planning on rubbing it in, there’s no need.”
“Don’t be so cold. We’re family like brother and sister.”
“I don’t forget my cousins.”
“Same difference.”
“You haven’t learned anything…”
Mo Qianmeng sighed softly.
Mo Tu was still the same annoying prankster he always was.
“Out with it. What do you want?”
“I miss you, and I want to catch up.”
“Really?”
“I’m bored.”
“I knew it…”
Mo Qianmeng didn’t hope much for any lingering familial affection from Mo Tu anymore.
She only wished he wouldn’t drag her into his mischievous antics.
“Qianmeng, I heard the Rising Sun Theater Group went to your Qi Yuan City.”
“So what?”
“Their performances seem quite intriguing, don’t you think?”
“I haven’t had much interaction with them yet, so I can’t form an opinion.”
“You should meet them more often; it might add a meaningful chapter to your life.”
“Your words just made up my mind to stay far away from them…”
“Why?”
“Considering your habits, something tells me there’s a catch.”
Hearing this, Mo Tu raised an eyebrow.
Oh no, she wasn’t as easy to fool as before.
