Despite a couple of cars blocking the road, it was like a Sunday stroll for the Demon Dragon Gang. Their lead cars shot forward at breakneck speed, smashing through the obstacles like childhood LEGO bricks.

Naturally, this ruckus caught the attention of the general public, leading them to hastily contact the enforcement team for a little assistance. Unbeknownst to them, the Peng City enforcement team had been glued to the surveillance feed since the whole mess started.
Of course, they weren’t foolish. With only a handful of folks on their side, mostly with a mother-in-law to support and children to feed, they decided it’s best to lay low. Better to tidy up after the chaos than become inadvertent extra toppings on the stew of criminal drama.
Plus, with a black-on-black situation going down, no backup would mean they’d just be the new side-dishes in a feasting crime fest. Smart choice!
To top it off, to avoid causing mass panic, the head of the enforcement team himself ordered a media blackout on any information or videos related to this event. After all, he got paid for this!
Ten minutes later, with the impeccable firepower of the Demon Dragon Gang, the remaining Wanpeng Society members surrendered. I mean, when your boss is dead, it’s like “Why bother?” Going from one master to another sounded like a peachy idea!
Meanwhile, Uncle Liu personally led a charge to surround a villa, checking in through his Bluetooth earphone: “Is Doctor Y really at this address in Peng City?” “Yes, Uncle Liu, the intel is solid.”
Nodding, Uncle Liu switched all channels and his eyes sparkled menacingly, “Go in! No survivors! Wake them up.”

Uncle Liu stayed outside in the car, relishing the scene—no need to get his hands dirty when his minions could do the heavy lifting!
Across town, the villa hosting the Huang Family Head and the Lin Family Head were also being stormed simultaneously.

“The team leaders from the Huang and Lin families who disturbed the Young and Second Young Ladies have been neutralized, but Doctor Y has successfully disappeared. The latest intel suggests he’s already on a flight back to the capital—all alone!”
“He got away? What rotten luck.” Jiang Bin grumbled, “Fine, call everyone back. Make sure to compensate the injured brothers. That’s all for now.”
With a sigh of relief, he hung up. Letting those miscreants think the Jiang Family is an easy target? Not a chance!
Meanwhile, up in the skies, Doctor Y was dripping with cold sweat, convinced someone from the Demon Dragon Gang or the Jiang family was aboard his plane. Talk about pressure! Ten minutes earlier, while the Demon Dragon Gang had their epic showdown, he was frantically receiving a call from his own family urging him to escape immediately—no notifications, no belongings, just straight to the airport!
Smart cookie that he was, Doctor Y put two and two together: those thugs were out for him! So he slipped away like a shadow in the night.
Thanks to his family’s quick planning, he arrived at the airport just in time to hop on a plane to the capital, effectively escaping this danger zone. Jiang Bin wasn’t wrong; Doctor Y was shaking in his boots and wouldn’t dare hit up Peng City again!
After all, all he wanted was to collaborate with Xia Yu on his experiments, not become a target for execution. The horror!
The flight from Peng City to the Demon City only took about two hours. Meanwhile, Xia Ling and Jiang Hanhang had boarded their flight much earlier.
Not surprisingly, after hearing Jiang Hanhang had been targeted, Jiang Bin was no longer at ease about his little girl. Thus, as soon as Xia Ling and Jiang Hanhang landed, a whole brigade of Jiang family bodyguards swooped in to greet them.
“Hanhang, can we still stick to our initial plan of having some fun before heading back?” Xia Ling asked Jiang Hanhang.
Jiang Hanhang shot her a side-eye. “Do you think? If it weren’t for all that craziness, maybe, but now? Not a chance.”
Sure enough, just as they finished whispering, a head honcho bodyguard from the Jiang family spoke up, “Second Young Lady, the master has sent us to escort you home. Please follow us.”
Jiang Hanhang rolled her eyes dramatically at the guard, then casually pulled out her phone to signal her father.
With night owls always up late, she guessed her father had just finished dinner and might still be awake. After just a few tones, the call went through.
“Hello? Hanhang, did you make it to the Demon City? I’ve sent people to pick you up.”
“Dad, I don’t want to go home just yet. I want to hang out with Xia Ling first, so please tell those bodyguards to head back.” Jiang Hanhang pleaded sweetly.
But Jiang Bin wasn’t having any of it. “No can do! I know all about the happenings in Peng City. What if something happens to you? Get back here right away!”
“Dad—”
“Nope, no can do. Hurry back!” Click.
Clearly, Jiang Bin hung up first, leaving Jiang Hanhang staring helplessly at Xia Jing: “See? I told you, Dad wouldn’t let us take risks. All because of those people!”
Her words left the Jiang family bodyguards sweating. The Second Young Lady’s mindset was way too chill! Usually, wouldn’t a little girl look for her parents immediately in such situations?

So, in the end, Jiang Hanhang and Xia Ling obediently followed the Jiang family bodyguards back to the family villa.
Inside the Jiang villa, the cleanup from a dinner gathering was far from finished, with a horde of help busily tidying up after the chaos—both downstairs and the mess made by the upstairs children.
Jiang Hanhang was unfazed by this scene and explained to a baffled Xia Ling, “Just get used to it; my dad often hosts many guests.”

Pleased with Xia Ling’s reaction, Jiang Hanhang started to puff up her chest a little, “You should see my status and what my family does—it’s all just little stuff. Don’t sweat it; it doesn’t concern us.”

As they entered the villa, they spotted Jiang Bin and Zhang Yunzhi, who were losing sleep with worry over Jiang Hanhang’s safety. Thank goodness their daughter was finally back home—they could finally breathe easy!
However, Jiang Hanhang, oblivious as ever, quirked her head and asked her parents, “Dad, Mom, where’s my sister? And what about Xia Yu? We were supposed to surprise them!”
“Well, I heard they already turned in for the night,” Jiang Bin replied. “You two must be tired after your travels—better wash up and hit the hay.”
After addressing Jiang Hanhang, he turned to Xia Ling, “Xia Ling, do you need me to arrange a room for you? Or will you be sharing with Hanhang?”
“Of course, I’m sharing with Hanhang! Sleeping alone is just boring!”
With that, Jiang Hanhang boldly grabbed Xia Ling’s arm and tugged her away, while two bodyguards trailed behind with their bags.
Watching the two girls leave, Jiang Bin and Zhang Yunzhi shared a silent thought—could their second daughter be heading down the same romantic path as her sister? Surely not!
But they all agreed to keep hushed about it.
Right now, Jiang Hanhang was feeling pretty pleased with herself. She’d noticed how vulnerable Xia Ling seemed in this unfamiliar place. Perfect. Time to strike back!
