Chapter 281

### Chapter 280: Aunt Mei

Once Xia Ling and Jiang Hanhang were decently dressed again, Jiang Kekai calmly continued, “I heard about what happened to you two last night. You sure got lucky, huh?”

“That’s a given! Aren’t you aware of my luck? Even if they tried to target me, they’d still end up being the unlucky ones.”

Seeing the sulky Jiang Hanhang, Xia Ling couldn’t help but give her head another playful tap: “Oh really? So who’s the one who, because they didn’t fasten their seatbelt properly, ended up crying in my arms when they got thrown around?”

“Xia Ling, can’t you show this young lady some face? Is it really necessary to gang up on me like this?” Jiang Hanhang pouted, balling her fists as if ready to jump at Xia Ling and get into a fight.

Xia Ling wasn’t backing down either; the more Jiang Hanhang was irritated, the happier Xia Ling became: “So what if I don’t show you any face? It’s your fault for messing with me while I was sleeping!”

“You…”

Before Jiang Hanhang could retort, Jiang Kekai interrupted her by covering her forehead in exasperation, “Are you two always going at each other like this? Don’t you get tired?”

“Not at all,” replied Jiang Hanhang and Xia Ling in unison. Jiang Kekai stared at them blankly. Xia Yu: “…”

“All right, let’s eat breakfast first. Does food not stop your two mouths from running off?” Jiang Kekai asked, somewhat exasperated.

Hearing this, the other three girls finally focused on the tray Jiang Kekai had brought, revealing four hand-held pancakes and four glasses of milk. Jiang Hanhang didn’t hold back at all; she grabbed a pancake and started munching away immediately: “Seriously, this smells so good.”

Next up was Xia Ling, who grabbed her pancake and milk. That’s when she realized something was amiss with Xia Yu, whose face was bright red.

Suddenly, Xia Ling started laughing: “Don’t worry, little sister. Everyone goes through stuff like this. It’s okay, I don’t need you to worry about me.”

Xia Yu just stared blankly.

“Cut it out, stop being self-absorbed. Xia Yu is mine; if anyone needs to be responsible, talk to Hanhang.”

As Jiang Kekai spoke, she pulled Xia Yu into her embrace, revealing just how possessive she was over Xia Yu.

Meanwhile, Jiang Hanhang took a bite out of her pancake and slurred, “Right Xia Ling, go find this miss for responsibility. I take my responsibilities very seriously.”

Xia Ling: “…”

After finishing breakfast, Jiang Kekai naturally didn’t want the kids lounging around. With a devilish smile, she laid out their next plan: “Well-fed now? You guys don’t need to attend school anymore, so how about doing something meaningful? In the morning, I’ll arrange someone to teach you dance classes. In the afternoon, I’ll assign private tutors to boost your grades. So no slacking off.”

“Big sis, I’m not convinced. Whether it’s dance class or academics, I’ve already graduated, okay? I’m not taking any more lessons.”

Jiang Hanhang flopped onto the rug, rolling around like a spoiled child.

This kind of behavior made Jiang Kekai somewhat helpless: “You can’t skip dance class; participation counts and you might even review a bit. And regarding the academic tutoring in the afternoon, would you consider Xia Ling’s guidance boring?”

“Not at all.”

Now this chance to torment Xia Ling was coming, Jiang Hanhang perked up.

Seeing Jiang Hanhang’s dim expression, Xia Ling knew she was up to something. But she wasn’t scared. She’d deal with it as it came.

Xia Yu had long known that Little Ning was looking for teachers for her, but she never imagined it would happen so quickly and that it’d be one-on-one training… already feeling nervous even before starting. Pinching Little Ning’s cute little face, Xia Yu wondered what she was thinking. Couldn’t guess it? Too easy!

“It’s okay, if nothing’s wrong, I’ll stick by your side.” Jiang Kekai encouraged Xia Yu, but her words fell on deaf ears. Then the three girls were sent off to their dance lesson…

Arriving at the dance studio, they found their dance instructor waiting for them—a woman in her mid-40s, now in proper dance attire.

When they entered, Jiang Hanhang was shocked: “Aunt Mei, you’re our dance teacher? Please don’t be too harsh!”

“What do you think, Second Young Lady? After so long, I bet your basic skills have gone rusty. Give us a performance to shake things up a bit,” Mei replied with a smile.

Then she pointed to a few boxes: “Following Miss Jiang’s request, I’ve selected outfits with your names on them. Change into them and come back.”

“Oh~”

Jiang Hanhang wasn’t happy about it, but she obediently went to grab the outfit and changed in the adjacent dressing room. Jiang Hanhang went in first, followed by Xia Ling, and then… not surprisingly, Xia Yu was embarrassed again.

Seeing Xia Yu being shy, Aunt Mei urged her, “What are you waiting for? Afraid? We’re all girls; hurry up and change so we can start training.”

Mei even helped open the door and pushed Xia Yu inside, then closed it: “Kids nowadays are so easily embarrassed. It’s fine, I’ve warned you before. She’s different from the others, so take extra care of her.”

“No problem at all. Miss Jiang, you can relax, you know my training methods. If you have other things to handle, go ahead. I’ve got them covered.”

“I’m fine, just stay for a bit longer.”

There were rumors about Jiang Kekai’s fondness for Xia Yu, which Mei had overheard. She hadn’t expected them to be true—such an odd pairing. Still, if Miss Jiang wanted to watch Xia Yu train, she couldn’t stop her. Watching them was just part of the fun.

Looking at Xia Yu again, she was once again shyly keeping her eyes closed, afraid to see anything inappropriate, adorably so.

Seeing this, Jiang Hanhang felt a sudden desire to play. She had never teased Xia Yu before, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity, especially now that her own big sister had set her up for this.

But before Jiang Hanhang could act, Xia Ling grabbed her arm, pulling her out of the dressing room: “All right, younger sister, you can change now.”

Only when she heard the door close did Xia Yu dare to slowly open her eyes, relieved to see they had left. Even though they told her not to feel shy, she still struggled.
