### Chapter 282: Let’s Party!
After a torturous morning, Xia Yu and Xia Ling were in pain, barely able to walk.
In the end, Xia Ling was carried by Jiang Hanhang, who accidentally stumbled and fell on her, with Jiang Hanhang landing heavily on top of her. It’s hard to tell if she did it on purpose.
Xia Yu was carried by Jiang Kekai. The more Jiang Kekai gazed at the little cutie in her arms, the harder she found it not to laugh: “It’s naturally the most painful on the first day of physical form class; after a while, you’ll get used to it.”
“Wait, I have to get used to this? Can’t I just stop practicing, Little Ning Sister?” Xia Yu began to beg pitiably, getting more and more skilled at it.
Jiang Kekai helplessly smiled and shook her head, “Little Yu, in the future, don’t you want to become my secretary? As a secretary, how can you lack a perfect physical form? You must walk in a way that makes you stand out from others.”
“It’s so difficult?”
“Why would it be easy? Unless you don’t want to be my secretary anymore, then why should I insist on having you do anything? When there’s time, I can just send you back home to enjoy life.” Jiang Kekai thought she had found Xia Yu’s soft spot.
True enough, upon hearing Jiang Kekai’s words, Xia Yu panicked and feared being abandoned: “I’ll learn, I’ll learn, okay?”
Jiang Kekai pulled Xia Yu out of the darkness and into the light. So, Xia Yu now enjoyed the warmth but also felt terrified about returning to the past. Seeing Xia Yu’s reluctant agreement, Jiang Kekai couldn’t help but laugh—this little fool was too easy to deceive! She wondered why she even considered letting her go. Soon, Jiang Kekai brought Xia Yu back to their room.
Physical form training was exhausting, and Xia Yu had sweated a lot. Therefore, returning, Jiang Kekai carefully cleaned the little cutie and got lunch ready together.
Wearing a soft, refreshing nightgown, Xia Yu lay lazily on the princess bed playing with her phone. Not having to train was truly blissful. However, as soon as she opened the phone, Xia Yu noticed numerous messages—some familiar, some not—which left her puzzled.
She skipped over the unfamiliar ones and her attention rested on a message from Zhang Huilin, which she opened:
Zhang Huilin: ‘Are you around, Little Yu? Want to hit the town tonight? I’ll treat you.’
Zhang Huilin: ‘You here? Busy with something? If you see this, reply, please.’
Zhang Huilin: ‘Have you eaten yet? Want to eat out? See this, reply, please.’
……
Seeing these messages, Zhang Huilin’s enthusiasm genuinely stunned Xia Yu, whom she had only met last night.
Just as Xia Yu was contemplating how to respond, Jiang Kekai returned, “Hungry, Little Yu? Today’s lunch is * Barbecue Don. Hurry up and come eat.”
Great, problem-solving assistance was right there.
Xia Yu immediately jumped out of bed, but she had forgotten her legs still hurt. Without a doubt, one leg gave way, and she ended up sprawled messily on the carpet.
Watching the little cutie make such a silly move, Jiang Kekai helplessly shook her head, then put down the food and lifted Xia Yu up from the ground before lecturing, “Did you have to get so excited? Luckily it’s on the carpet, or else you might have lost your teeth.”
Xia Yu stared blankly.
Then, she handed her phone to Little Ning Sister, “Little Ning Sister, I don’t know how to handle this, could you take a look?”
Instead, Jiang Kekai glanced at the screen and replied immediately, “Such a small thing, Little Yu, you can deal with it yourself. If you feel like going, go; if not, don’t force it. I won’t hold you back.”
Even so, Jiang Kekai secretly longed to lock Xia Yu forever in one room—a private retreat—and absolutely didn’t want Xia Yu to interact too much with other boys or girls.
But there was no choice; she could only watch for now. Hence, Jiang Kekai decided to gradually toughen Xia Yu’s skills, hoping this little fool would be her little fool alone.
Now it was Jiang Kekai who seemed to have passed the buck by giving the problem back to Xia Yu, leaving her feeling dispirited. How would she choose?
Not inherently adept at rejecting others, and given her injuries… she likely wouldn’t be in any condition to walk normally by evening. Thus, Xia Yu replied, ‘Sorry, I’m not feeling well, so I can’t go. Play along without me.’
Unexpectedly, Zhang Huilin instantly responded, ‘!!! Are you alright, Xia Yu? Is it serious? Should I visit after school?’
Xia Yu: ‘No need, thank you, sister. It’s just the pain from exercise class; nothing serious.’
Zhang Huilin: ‘Alright, I’ve had those classes too. When you’re better, we can go out together, what do you say?’
Xia Yu: ‘Sure.’
Xia Yu didn’t want to disappoint anyone, thus she gave a vague response. Xia Yu felt that Zhang Huilin seemed nice, albeit a tad too eager.
Jiang Kekai, oblivious to Xia Yu’s internal musings, called her over immediately, “Little Yu, let’s eat.”
“Okay,” Xia Yu placed the phone on the bed and joined her Ning Sister for the meal.
In the end, Jiang Kekai still couldn’t let go entirely, and during dinner, she finally addressed Xia Yu, “Xia Yu, remember to notify me next time you plan to go out. If I’m free, I can accompany you; if not, I’ll arrange for a bodyguard.”
“Sure,” Xia Yu complied willingly.
After dinner, Jiang Kekai and Xia Yu went to Xia Ling and Jiang Hanhang’s room to watch a movie before heading back to rest.
The three girls still needed to be sharp the next day for cultural class, and good spirits were critical, as yawning in class would be embarrassing. They continued their lessons in the same room where they trained physically, now furnished with more chairs and desks.
Concerning textbooks… Jiang Kekai easily bought several sets. Their teacher, however… was none other than Meimei.
Yes, Meimei, who was originally hired by the Jiang family to teach Jiang Kekai and Jiang Hanhang physical form, had become notable in this field. Furthermore, her education wasn’t lacking; she could easily teach elementary knowledge to Xia Yu and earn extra pay.
Predictably, Xia Yu and Xia Ling were anxious as they saw Meimei, who had been menacing earlier that morning.
Observing Xia Ling’s unease, Jiang Hanhang reassured her, “Don’t worry, your teacher is actually me, but Meimei oversees teaching Xia Yu one-on-one.”
“Really?”
Xia Ling was hesitant, recalling the times when this had been said. “Yes, now sit down and prepare to start the lesson.”
Meimei maintained strict control, making the three cuties obediently find their seats, awaiting further instructions.
Meimei sat next to Xia Yu and instructed, “Textbooks are in drawers, and you all must complete the exercises yourselves. No copying. Jiang Hanhang, feel free to ask questions.”
Thus began the afternoon session for the three.
Jiang Hanhang was less nervous since Xia Ling was also her teacher. But poor Xia Yu struggled under Meimei’s stringent gaze.
Seeing them settle into routine, Jiang Kekai nodded approvingly outside the door and called someone, going off to do her own things. Yes, she kept her word to Xia Yu—if Xia Yu committed to learning, her grades could quickly improve. Returning home, she could shine brightly.
Meanwhile, Jiang Kekai and her father had a significant project bid later that afternoon. Success or failure aside, it provided valuable networking opportunities.
Jiang Kekai, with her renowned status in society, especially benefited from such connections.
That evening, Jiang Kekai didn’t return home due to the dinner commitment. So, Xia Yu felt abandoned again, though she had already known about the arrangement.
Feeling lonely, she sighed, wishing someone was with her.
Dong-dong-dong—
The ding of Xia Yu’s phone startled her, thinking it was Little Ning Sister.
But to her surprise, it was Zhang Huilin, ‘Little Yu, around? Let’s hang out; I’ll treat!’
If Xiao Ning were here, Xia Yu would have refused, but now she was alone and bored.
Perhaps, this was the backlash of emerging from loneliness, craving companionship now whereas she once preferred solitude.
After hesitating, Xia Yu dialed Little Ning Sister, seeking some guidance…
