Night Star bravely stepped forward, drawing the attention of the Sunset Research Institute’s action team, who had their eyes locked on Book Yao.

“Sunset Research Institute, you have done nothing but bad things!”

While Night Star was deep in thought, Ice Lixie turned her gaze over, observing Night Star and Book Yao, then glancing at the unidentified people hanging in the air.
“What’s going on here?”
Night Star pointed at the people in the air, without hesitation saying, “Comrade Night Watcher! These guys are bad! They’re trying to abduct this Big Sister of mine! Get them and take them back for investigation!”
Ice Lixie fell silent.

Night Star made up a half-true, half-fantastical story, sounding ridiculously convincing.
After hearing this, Ice Lixie paused for a moment and nodded slightly.
“Okay, I think I get it.”

Ice Lixie shook her head again.
“Please don’t misunderstand; I’m not an idiot who would fall for such low-quality lies. I simply made a preliminary judgment that your character doesn’t pose a threat to the innocent. Since you’re unwilling to disclose the truth, I won’t force you. Violence isn’t the only way to deal with Star Eclipses. If you can control this power, then I will consider you as someone worth protecting.”

Night Star was taken aback by Ice Lixie’s words.

At that moment, Book Yao leaned in close to Night Star and whispered, “Night Star, do you know this person?”

Since Night Star chose to trust Ice Lixie, Book Yao decided to do the same.
