For some reason, probably due to her transformation into a girl, Xia Yu’s tear ducts had become surprisingly well-developed.
So, after Xia Ling gave her a gentle knock on the head, her eyes began to shimmer, meaning a few tears were getting ready for a dramatic exit…

Big… Sister, you know my grades weren’t exactly stellar, stuck somewhere in the middle tier of the class—nothing like yours!” Xia Yu cradled the spot that had just been tapped, feeling as wronged as a little sister who’s just been bullied by her older sibling.
Upon hearing this, Xia Ling suddenly remembered that Xia Yu’s grades weren’t that great. In fact, they were pretty low—definitely not first in line for the genius parade. That meant… Xia Yu’s fundamentals weren’t exactly rock solid…
With a sigh of resignation, Xia Ling decided not to push her little sister too hard. Sure, she might be able to connect the dots and make sense of things, but unfortunately, Xia Yu didn’t have as sharp a mind as hers!
So, Xia Ling continued to patiently tutor Xia Yu. After all, her little sister had the audacity to call her “Sister,” so she, as the big sister, couldn’t be too irresponsible!

When it was past nine, Xia Le returned from his evening escapades. Unsurprisingly, as soon as he stepped upstairs, his parents reminded him, “Little Le, have you finished your winter break homework? Your sister is in your brother’s room doing her homework. Why don’t you grab your homework too? You’re a grade ahead; you can help them if they don’t get it.”

With that, Xia Ling bounced off Xia Yu’s bed and turned to lazy little Xia Yu at the door, saying, “Wait for me, Second Brother~”
Pat-pat-pat, a moment later, Xia Ling came back dragging a cute pink desk from her room, which she had saved up to buy herself. What a bargain—only twenty bucks!
And just like that, Xia Yu’s battlefield for education shifted from the desk to the bed. Plus, she could finally cover her cold feet with a blanket while doing her winter homework—what a breakthrough!
However, did Xia Le, having taken over such a prime study location, actually settle down to do his winter homework? Nope! He had already pulled out his phone, silenced it, and dove right into a game…
Watching her big brother lounging comfortably, Xia Yu felt a twinge of envy, which promptly derailed her motivation to study.
