“Hush, be quieter.” “Mmm.”
While they said it, they felt their hearts melting over that adorable Xia Yu. Who wouldn’t love a cute and clingy girlfriend?
Jiang Kekai realized her sister was definitely spreading the love, but since Xia Ling was around, she shrugged and let them be envious.

Xia Ling lightly hit Jiang Kekai’s forehead, exasperated. This happened every time. She was getting frustrated with Jiang Kekai’s teasing tone. She felt Jiang Kekai did it just to annoy her.
Jiang Kekai merely rubbed her head instead of retaliating, baking another piece of chicken wing. Her sudden change was unusual for her.
“Are… Are you okay?”
Xia Ling was worried if Jiang Kekai was injured or angry. Normally, hitting her never caused issues. Seeing her indifferent expression, Xia Ling wondered if she was truly upset.
Knowing her sister, Jiang Kekai smiled knowingly. Finally, Jinan had figured it out.
Just as Xia Ling mustered the courage to check, Jiang Kekai suddenly offered her a grilled chicken wing. “You want it?”
“Eh… Ah?”
Xia Ling instinctively touched Jiang Kekai’s head, realizing she didn’t have a fever. “Did I break anything inside?”
“Not much different from me, you know. Don’t hit me like that anymore, you’ll make me dumber.” “Okay.”

“Why are you looking so serious? I’m eating chicken you asked me to buy. It’s my work, taste and see if it’s any good.”
Jiang Kekai felt warmth and excitement welling up unexpectedly. Yet, maintaining her cool demeanor, she replied, “Very well, then, let’s try your cooking, Miss.”
Jiang Kekai bit into the juicy piece, savoring the flavor—
“Yuck, you’re trying to mess with me. There’s raw meat in it! This will give you diarrhea!”
Jiang Kekai glared at Xia Ling, genuinely upset that she had been fooled.
“What?! Really?”
Xia Ling picked up the dropped chicken wing from the ground, and sure enough, there was still raw meat within.
“Eh… sorry, I’m new to grilling… not that used to it.” Xia Ling explained awkwardly.
Jiang Kekai nearby finally lost it, laughing hard. She managed to stop herself from spitting out her drink just in time, averting her gaze.
“Stop staring. Keep eating!”
Jiang Kekai couldn’t believe how amusing these two were. It didn’t matter to her if her sister was acting silly, but seeing Xia Ling like this brought her joy as well.
Throughout this episode, Jiang Kekai stayed calm, even when seemingly frustrated. Xia Ling was doing fine and just needed some time; it was all part of keeping her from going to those classmates.
Realizing Xia Ling’s first-time grilling was similar to Xia Yu’s, Jiang Kekai examined Xia Yu’s grilled chicken leg—truly sisters at heart.
Seeing this, Xia Yu also felt embarrassed, “Actually, it’s my first time too.”
“No worries. It’s fine.”
Jiang Kekai gently patted Xia Yu’s head. “It’s just grilling. Not difficult at all.”
Jiang Hanhan observed the close bond between Jiang Kekai and Xia Yu and then turned to Xia Ling. She felt envious. Xia Ling might not seek them out, but they certainly sought her out.
