As they spoke, the four girls turned their attention to Jiang Hanhang sitting beside Xia Ling, hoping she would give them some support. But… is that really possible?

Glancing over at the group around Jiang Kekai and her bodyguards, they ultimately couldn’t bring themselves to ask them to open the door. So, they sat back down, grumbling silently.
Noticing that Little Cutie was taking smaller bites, Jiang Kekai guessed what was happening, despite pretending not to understand for a moment: “Xia Yu, are you full?”
“Yes, Sister Xia Ning, your cooking is wonderful.”
Seeing Xia Yu smile, Jiang Kekai felt as sweet as honey inside: “Since you’re full, let’s get down to business.” “What business?”
Jiang Kekai smiled, without answering verbally. Instead, she planned to prove something through action.
With that, she put down her barbecue skewer and stood up, looking towards Xia Yu and Xia Ling’s ex-classmates: “Everyone, I have something important to say…”

While Jiang Kekai anticipated others joining in, one boy couldn’t hold his composure and questioned: “Hey, what exactly are you up to? Given we’re Xia Yu’s classmates, aren’t you just making fun of us?”
Had there been no bodyguards between them, he might’ve rushed at Jiang Kekai by now. Fury doesn’t care about status.
“Makes sense, since you put it that way, I won’t pry into how you treated Xia Yu. Just a quick apology—nothing hard, right?”

Everyone caught the drift: clearly, this was just torment. Apologizing to that wimpy guy? No way.

Without anyone starting the commotion, everyone saw this as an opening and hurried towards the door of the villa. But even there, they faced roadblocks, as they lacked entry or exit access.

Someone kicked the door, which didn’t budge except for a dull thud.
All had fallen perfectly as Jiang Kekai had anticipated. Her hand rested softly on Xia Yu’s tiny shoulder while she calmly explained: “That door is worth a hundred thousand. If you damage it, you’ll split the cost.”
One sentence froze those eager to kick the door, unable to doubt Jiang Kekai’s value assessment. Nor did they dare doubt her sincerity.

As soon as Zhao Wei’s voice faded, the fence above sprang rows of large spikes; clearly, the spikes were electrified.
Not in a rush, Jiang Kekai added more information, “Those spikes come out automatically if anyone tries to climb. But consider this a challenge. Whoever makes it past gets off scot-free.”

Suddenly, everyone was stumped. With a locked door and electrified fence, they couldn’t storm through. It dawned on them Jiang Kekai’s demands weren’t unreasonable—they stemmed from Xia Yu. Had Xia Yu been different, none of this madness would’ve happened.
“Xia Yu, a man wouldn’t always let others do his dirty work for him. That’s meaningless.”
Wow, even now someone dared to jump up; Xia Ling recognized him as the worst bully from Xia Yu’s past! Xia Yu had many nicknames coined by him.
Just as Xia Yu prepared to speak up, Jiang Kekai pulled her back: “I don’t care much about that, but…”
Suddenly, Jiang Kekai’s eyes hardened: “If anyone ever bullies her or speaks ill of her, I’ll make sure no one thinks they’re a man. Trust me, I can back that up.”
Shudders went through the crowd, even Lin Jie felt chilled by her words. Time to warn those buddies to stay away from Xia Yu, she seemed like a taboo subject.
This struck bullies who’d tormented Xia Yu, somehow doubting Jiang Kekai’s resolve.
A close friend of Xia Ling clenched her teeth, then decided to gamble: “Xiao Ling, everyone knows we never bullied Xia Yu. Will you let your friends forgive us?”
