Chapter 322: Here She Comes!

Xia Yu understood Xia Le’s meaning, which was basically that she’d follow the older brother’s group like before, and this time around he probably wouldn’t leave her behind as cannon fodder. But Xia Yu wasn’t that innocent little boy anymore; she was over those entertainment shenanigans: “No need, bro. You go have fun and be safe.”
Xia Yu’s response brought joy to Xia Ling; actually, if Xia Yu had been indecisive, it would have alarmed her, because that would mean Xia Le might attempt to snatch away the little sister again in the future.
However, Xia Yu swiftly and decisively refused Xia Le.

“Fine. I’ll head downstairs first. If it’s time for dinner, just call me.” With that said, Xia Le left gloomily.
Xia Ling didn’t hesitate, dragging Xia Yu back to their room, leaving no room for Xia Yu to pity Xia Le: “Still playing? Didn’t you say you were sleepy? Go to sleep early and you can get some more rest.” Sure enough, Xia Yu and Xia Ling slept until it was time for lunch, and their mom had to wake them up herself.
Though they had slept quite a bit, Xia Yu and Xia Ling still felt tired. No matter how much they slept, they seemed to get sleepier.
Despite that, they had to eat, so they obediently rose and headed downstairs…
Even though it was the first day of the month, Xia Yu and Xia Ling weren’t as lively as they used to be. Instead, they essentially slept all day at home. They only felt more energized when it was late enough to have dinner. Even then, they felt much better after waking up.
Sometime along the way, Xia Yu remembered Xia Ling’s words from yesterday and asked their father: “Dad, any plans for tomorrow?” “Of course, we’re going to grandma’s house tomorrow, and the day after we’ll visit your grandmom. Make sure to be extra sweet, okay?”
Grandma’s house. This reminded Xia Yu of their auntie, their grandma’s sister’s daughter: “Is auntie coming back?”
“I don’t know,” Xia Hong placed a piece of braised pork on her rice with a mouthful of delicious food: “Why? Missing your auntie?”
Xia Hong still remembers that wedding of Xia Yu and Xia Ling’s aunt. The little baby loved Xia Yu’s company back then, surprising how well-liked Xia Yu was.

They didn’t tell Xia Yu and Xia Ling when they were leaving just to surprise them in the morning. Just thinking about it kept Jiang Kekai and Jiang Hanhang from sleeping.
