Chapter 323

### Chapter 324: The Seer Stole the Title and Got Killed by the Author

It was perfectly normal for Wang Wenjuan to be concerned. After all, Jiang Kekai and Jiang Hanhang had a ton of bodyguards. If they all went over there, couldn’t they at least get fed? That’s quite a big expense.

“Don’t worry, they can sort out their own meals. No need to worry about them.”

With Jiang Kekai’s reassurance, Wang Wenjuan finally relaxed. “Alright, then let’s get going. Do you guys have anything else to pick up?”

“Nope, me and Xiao Yu will just head over directly. Uncle’s car will lead the way, and we’ll follow behind.”

After discussing this, Jiang Kekai grabbed Xia Yu and left together, with Xia Ling and Jiang Hanhang instinctively trailing behind.

Wang Wenjuan was used to this scene, so she didn’t think much of it. Since Xia Yu and Jiang Kekai were a thing, Xia Ling and Jiang Hanhang must surely just be besties, right?

Ten minutes later, led by Xia Hong’s car, three black sedans neatly left Xia Family Village one after another, making it seem like some secret mission.

In the car, Xia Yu was still busy playing the game he downloaded in the morning. These fairy-themed games indeed had a lot to explore at first, but it would get easier once you got used to it.

Seeing Xia Yu play, Jiang Kekai decided to watch without getting bored. “Xiao Yu, do you enjoy playing such games? Isn’t it lonely playing alone? Want me to join?”

Though she really wanted Jiang Kekai to join her, Xia Yu knew about Jiang Kekai’s busy schedule now: “I mean, it might not be the best. Aren’t you always swamped with work?”

Jiang Kekai laughed, “True, but as long as you want me to, I’d make time for us. It depends on your willingness though.” “No, that’s okay…”

Xia Yu immediately closed his phone, fearing Jiang Kekai would actually spend time gaming. Wouldn’t that waste her time?

Seeing this, Jiang Kekai gently rubbed Xia Yu’s head, affectionately, before leaning back into Xia Yu’s embrace. “Then I’ll take a nap. Wake me if we arrive.”

“Sure.”

Xia Yu was used to relying on Sister Kekai for rest; now, that she was resting on him, he happily hugged her waist and felt an overwhelming sense of happiness.

Xia Ling and Jiang Hanhang? Not nearly as romantic. Xia Ling leaned against the car door, falling asleep, with Jiang Hanhang snuggling into her. They both quickly drifted off.

Unfortunately, the journey wasn’t long—twenty minutes later, Xia Yu woke them up as they arrived at Grandma’s house.

“Mmm, Xiao Yu, Xiao Ling, you two go ahead. I’ll keep sleeping.”

Yawning, Jiang Hanhang snuggled deeper into her sister’s arms. “Yeah, sis. Let’s sleep some more. We don’t even know those people anyway.”

Jiang Kekai supported Jiang Hanhang’s idea. “Xiao Yu, go ahead. Me and Hanhang will catch up later.”

Seeing this, Xia Ling wanted to join them too, but since she was part of the family, there was no changing her mind. “Fine, we won’t call you during lunch.”

Soon enough, Xia Ling and Xia Yu found their parents and helped with carrying their belongings before heading to Grandma’s house.

The family came here every year, but this time, Xia Yu was looking forward to seeing someone special again. As expected, when Xia Yu, Xia Ling, and Xia Le followed their parents to Grandma’s house, it was packed with relatives dropping by to celebrate.

“Congratulations on your prosperity!”

Adults exchanged pleasantries, then gave red packets to the kids. Xia Hong and Wang Wenjuan distributed while Xia Yu, Xia Ling, and Xia Le received.

Xia Yu spotted someone. Walking over politely, Xia Yu asked, “Auntie, congrats on your prosperity. Where’s my cousin?”

The auntie glanced at Xia Yu and Xia Ling. They were both in girls’ clothes, so it was hard to tell them apart.

Surrendering, the auntie handed Xia Yu a red packet. “Congrats! Your cousin’s upstairs in the third floor. Come down for lunch, and I’ll call you.”

“Okay.”

Xia Yu waited for the cue. Turning around, she headed upstairs first, leaving Xia Ling at the mercy of the adults.

At the third floor, Xia Yu scanned left and right, noticing all doors but one were open.

Approaching the closed door, she knocked lightly.

“Who is it?”

Familiar voice—it was Cousin Tang Mengying. “It’s me.”

Click—

The door opened, but not by Tang Mengying. Wei Yin opened it, her smile turning into a reprimand. “Why so late? Beili is already waiting.”

Xia Yu peeked inside. Sure enough, Cousin Tang Mengying was cuddling a one-year-old Beili Baby. The baby babbled as soon as Xia Yu appeared.

Wanting to speak but unable to, Xia Yu’s mom understood, smiling reassuringly at Xia Yu. “Xiao Yu, come. Beili wants to hold you. She couldn’t wait after you left, crying all night.”

“Really?”

Xia Yu awkwardly approached, feeling a bit guilty after Tang Mengying’s words.

Sitting beside the bed, Xia Yu took the baby from Tang Mengying, who instantly grabbed Xia Yu’s face and planted a kiss on her cheek.

Surprised, Xia Yu murmured, “She kissed me?” “Exactly. Beili likes you,” Tang Mengying said without any objection.

Wei Yin mirrored that sentiment. Seeing the baby enjoying Xia Yu’s presence, she smiled too.

Just then, another knock sounded on the door. “Cousin, are you inside?”
