### Chapter 30: The Discovery
“Days and Nights Reversed Club… can you give me a quick rundown?”
Night Lan suddenly became curious.
If this happened under normal circumstances, she would have darted away immediately, not bothering to pay attention to some club promoter.
But now, she found herself unusually intrigued as if some mysterious force was nudging her.
“Sure, I’ll give you a quick overview.”
Upon hearing that three delicate girls were interested, the insider perked up too.
Then he began to explain the club’s details in simple terms, making it easy for Night Lan to understand.
In short, this was an organization where everyone’s schedule was flipped. For instance, while normal people sleep at night and stay active during the day, the club’s members do the opposite.
And this club had quite a few members, mostly nocturnal types.
But staying up all night alone at home could get pretty boring, so this club was born to provide a place for these night owls to indulge in their revelries.
It was supposedly funded by some wealthy kid who warmly welcomed anyone who enjoyed the night life.
While the outside world was quiet with everyone asleep, they partied within the club like royalty in the dark.
And come morning, they all went home to sleep, waiting for nighttime to start their fun all over again.
These partygoers were mostly jobless rich people, but even so, the club was packed every night and buzzing with energy.
Additionally, the club used top-notch soundproofing materials, so noise complaints were a non-issue.
This made Night Lan think of something.
That meant every night, these clubbers could totally avoid the nightmares from Star Eclipses?
That was really odd.
Now Night Lan had a theory: what if everyone stayed awake at night? Would the Dream Narrator still be able to drag them into their dreams?
Probably not.
The Dream Narrator probably couldn’t make someone fall asleep in reality; all they could do was use that long-haired girl blowing the lullaby flute in their dreams.
But even if citizens were up at night, they’d nap the next day anyway. It’s just a silly idea.
With that, after bidding farewell to the club staff, Night Lan left with two companions.
On the way, Night Lan started mumbling.
“Partying at night and sleeping during the day seems like a fun life. They definitely look happy.”
But this wasn’t her style.
Since turning into a loli, she didn’t pull many all-nighters anymore.
Not that she’d need to—staying up late just wasn’t in the cards for a cute loli. Better to stick with a normal schedule.
Even being a night owl has its allure, but Night Lan didn’t have anything worth staying up for.
The trio reached an area out of sight and opened the Theater Door.
Kong Yu Bai and Book Yao stepped inside, and Night Lan followed closely.
As she squeezed in, a thought struck her.
“Hang on, days and nights reversed, yet people still take naps in the daytime… doesn’t that mean people who sleep during the day might also be pulled into someone’s dream? And they just hang around, like daydreams! Yikes, that’s possible!”
Back at the theater, Night Lan quickly called out to Mo Rabbit.
“Mo Rabbit!”
A petite figure appeared beside her, looking rather exasperated.
“Please, call me the Announcer when in the theater, otherwise my head might explode.”
“Ugh, it’s faster if I call you that. Plus, aren’t you almost used to it?”
“That’s different from liking it.”
“Heh.”
Seeing Night Lan trying to weasel out, Mo Rabbit decided not to play along.
“What’s up? What’s the matter? If it’s nothing I’m outta here.”
“Just hang on, there’s something I want to confirm with you.”
Night Lan patted Mo Rabbit’s shoulder, feigning friendliness.
Mo Rabbit looked on the verge of giving up.
“Go on then.”
“This just hit me—the Dream Narrator might hide in night dreams at night and in daydreams during the day. Is that a possibility?”
“So you think… Star Eclipses is hiding in the dreams of those who nap in the daytime?”
Mo Rabbit squinted, pondering it.
“Actually, it’s possible! Good thinking.”
“Then use your amazing divination skills to verify it!”
“Divination isn’t everything. Just nap during the day to verify it yourself. Truth lies in practice. Besides, you won’t run into any trouble, right?”
“Well… I don’t really feel like it.”
“You should tell the Night Watcher Leader and let them check it out,” said Mo Rabbit casually.
Night Lan nodded in agreement.
“Yes, that’s exactly what I thought too!”
Saying so, Night Lan prepared to return to headquarters.
Before leaving, Mo Rabbit added:
“I realize you’re actually pretty clever. Think it through before rushing things.”
“No thanks! I want to take it easy!”
“But you seem to be doing your own thing already.”
“Oh well, I guess if I can get home quickly, it’s worth a bit of effort.”
With that, Night Lan headed back to headquarters.
Mo Rabbit shook her head and vanished from the theater.
Back in her resting room, Night Lan resolved not to reveal her newfound insight immediately.
She wanted to wait for the right moment.
After all, night was falling soon.
Tonight, Night Lan would enter the dream realm again and perhaps talk to the leader tomorrow about her discovery.
She believed that with enough information, the Night Watchers would find a way through.
If not, she’d go all-in herself.
Who cares if it was Supernova or whatever; under the Wish Machine, everyone was equal.
Night fell.
Midnight approached.
Within headquarters, all the Night Watchers were ready to slip into the Star Eclipses dream, carrying valuable information with them.
They aimed to locate and talk to the Dream Narrator.
Only by connecting with him could they gain the necessary clues.
This mission was fraught with danger, so caution was key.
In one of the chambers, Night Lan lay awake, gazing at the ceiling.
“Ababa…”
With more sessions, each entering felt like stepping into a virtual game.
Should she now mutter, “Lincoln died with a big head”? It felt more realistic.
Forget it, better just sleep.
