Chapter 379

### Chapter 390: Bring It On!

Xia Yu arrived at the door of her room and, as usual, tried to twist the handle to get in, but to no avail.

She knew perfectly well what was going on inside. Earlier that afternoon, Jiang Hanhan had reminded her to lock the door, meaning someone was inside. Sure enough, a second later, Xia Yu heard Jiang Hanhan’s voice coming from inside the room.

“Who’s there?”

“It’s me.”

Upon hearing it was Xia Yu, Xia Ling and Jiang Hanhan relaxed their guard and together opened the door for her.

Seeing that both Jiang Hanhan and Xia Ling were freshly showered and dressed in cute sleeping gowns, Xia Yu thought to herself with black lines all over her face, “So you ladies planned to be lazy, huh?”

“Oh, come on, it’s called foresight. And there wasn’t much to manage afterwards, anyway. Does it really matter if you did or didn’t? Plus, weren’t you the one who snuck back too?”

Xia Yu: “…”

What a sharp-tongued girl! Xia Yu couldn’t outsmart her and just gave up, heading over to her backpack to flip through a nightgown to wear after her bath.

She didn’t know whether this was a good thing or not. Under Sister Xiaoning’s supervision, she had even developed a habit of wearing nightgowns to sleep. Although her sleep quality improved, she felt somewhat inconvenienced changing outfits often.

Especially since this was a shared house, she felt embarrassed wearing something so revealing. She thought each person would have their own rooms, otherwise, she wouldn’t have brought her nightgown along. But now… she couldn’t exactly not wear it, could she?

Thus, Xia Yu carried her nightgown into the bathroom.

Jiang Hanhan, on her end, locked the door again and returned to bed to keep playing with Xia Ling, being even more intimate than Xia Yu with Jiang Kekai.

But while Xia Yu knew Xiaoning liked her, Xia Ling hadn’t realized that Jiang Hanhan harbored feelings for her yet. So, Xia Ling simply assumed their closeness was just typical of best friends.

Despite this, Xia Yu treated Jiang Hanhan with no restraint or hesitation, not making any distinctions between them. Initially, Jiang Hanhan fought back, but eventually, she accepted her fate, hoping Xia Ling would realize her feelings eventually and change her ways.

Yes, Jiang Hanhan believed she was making an investment for her future—so long as she stayed, Xia Ling would notice her sooner or later.

Just then, Xia Ling wrapped her legs around Jiang Hanhan, lifted her, and continued playing her phone with her, “Hanhan, it’s almost time for Lord boss, don’t keep running away. Go back to the guild and fight him. Don’t let those two from Long Family take the first spot.”

“Huh? Alright,” Jiang Hanhan quickly replied, adjusting her position and continuing to play her phone in Xia Ling’s embrace.

In the bathroom, Xia Yu rinsed off. After a tiring day, she felt smothered by barbecue smoke and needed a thorough wash. Adjusting to the hotel’s body wash took some getting used to, but she had no choice.

Soon, Xia Yu left the bathroom with a dry towel around her hair, wearing the nightgown, and holding a plastic bag containing her clothes.

Seeing how Jiang Hanhan and Xia Ling interacted, Xia Yu felt embarrassed and made no comments. She knew her relationship with Xiaoning was similar in some ways.

Only, everyone else knew about her and Xiaoning. So, not a big deal.

As for Xia Ling and Jiang Hanhan… Xia Yu thought it best not to interfere, secretly hoping they’d end up together. Having everyone in one happy family was a nice idea, but who knows what the future held?

So, Xia Yu said nothing, finding a hair dryer to blow dry her hair.

After over a year, she had grown comfortable with her long hair, even if it was slightly troublesome to take care of after a bath. However, Xiaoning loved it.

Her gender had stopped being so daunting; time did heal all wounds, but she still worried some important people might not accept her. She’d deal with that later.

Looking back, she saw Xia Ling and Jiang Hanhan still clinging to each other as before. Sighing, she wished Xiaoning were there. Curious about Xiaoning’s whereabouts, Xia Yu lay on the bed and started playing her phone.

It was then that Jiang Hanhan excitedly exclaimed from Xia Ling’s embrace, “Yay, Xiaoling, we’re number one!”

Not stopping, Jiang Hanhan jumped off Xia Ling’s bed and onto Xia Yu, saying, “No way, I had such a great time today. Xia Yu, give me another go.”

Xia Yu: “…”

Ignoring Xia Yu’s response, Jiang Hanhan forcefully rubbed Xia Yu’s face, “Hehehe, can’t beat Xiaoling? Got it? From now on, you’re the weakest.”

“Hey, don’t think I’m just a sick cat when I don’t show my claws!”

Shouting loudly, Xia Yu struggled to stand up, but Jiang Hanhan tickled her, forcing her down.

Even Xia Ling, who usually indulged Jiang Hanhan, joined in by recording the moment on her phone.

Finally, giving up and calling out to Xia Ling, “Sis, you promised you’d look after me, right? This counts, right?”

“Sure it does.”

With a satisfied smirk, Xia Ling saved the video and released Jiang Hanhan.

“Xia Yu, rest on another bed for a moment. Let me teach this overconfident brat a lesson.”

Jiang Hanhan turned to the fleeing Xia Yu and shouted, “No backing off! Let’s duel straight up.”

### Chapter 391: Weakling Sufferer

“No backing off? Think I’m as naive as you? Haha!”

Jiang Hanhan mocked Xia Yu once more, then looked at Xia Ling, “Handle it, go all out.”

“Got it.”

This time, Xia Ling firmly sided with Xia Yu. While Xia Yu and Jiang Hanhan bickered, Xia Ling jumped in with a mischievous smile, “Hanhan, face my wrath already!”

Coincidentally, a sudden knock on the door interrupted them.

The sound instantly cooled down the three girls. It was Huang Qiao, Li Jia, and Gao Yao returning.

To ensure Xia Ling didn’t lose hold of Jiang Hanhan and give her the chance to bully her again, Xia Yu quickly rushed to open the door—and also warned Xia Ling, “Hey, don’t let her go yet. Exhaust her completely. Otherwise, it could be dangerous.”

Everyone outside heard Xia Yu, who originally wondered what Xia Yu, Xia Ling, and the Jiang twins were up to. Seeing their compromising positions, they immediately had nothing to say.

It was clear they were just playing—getting involved would be dangerous.

Regarding Xia Yu’s sleeping gown… Huang Qiao understood it was just another girl, so seeing Xia Yu in it didn’t surprise her.

But Li Jia and Gao Yao were different. They had long been curious about Xia Yu’s gender, and now seeing her in that outfit increased their curiosity. First things first, they looked at Xia Yu’s chest and realized it was obvious—there was nothing hidden, and Xia Yu’s slightly developing chest was pretty evident.

Li Jia and Gao Yao stared intently, shocking Xia Yu, “W-what are you doing? You’re here, then come on in.”

“Ah-oh…”

Understanding, the two girls followed Huang Qiao in. Xia Yu locked the door and confirmed it with Jiang Hanhan’s instructions. While Jiang Hanhan’s irritations annoyed her, her viewpoints sometimes made sense, and Xia Yu decided to accept them.

Xia Yu glimpsed at her chest and realized why Li Jia and Gao Yao stared—they caught her off-guard, exposing her secret. The realization made her chuckle awkwardly.

Turning around, she saw that Li Jia and Gao Yao hadn’t moved far, waiting quietly. “Haha, you’ve confessed yourself.”

Xia Yu knew what Li Jia meant, but she had to admit, “As you see, I am truly… a guy.”

“Still trying to fool us?”

“Xiaoyao, let’s get her.”

Facing the mischievous grin of the two, Xia Yu panicked and sought help from Xia Ling. But Xia Ling, still holding Jiang Hanhan down, just smiled sadly, “I’ve got Jiang Hanhan covered. It’s your turn now.”

Xia Yu: “…”

This was tough. If she knew, she wouldn’t have worn the nightgown. But it was too late. So, she charged ahead.

Breathing deeply, Xia Yu rushed towards Li Jia and Gao Yao, managing to slip past their attempts to stop her. With Huang Qiao watching, Xia Yu threw herself onto the bed Xia Ling and Jiang Hanhan were previously fighting on, covering herself with the blanket for safety.

Seeing Xia Yu’s actions, Xia Yu wondered if her plan had worked… but no, not yet.

Li Jia and Gao Yao exchanged looks, deciding not to push Xia Yu further. The coward hid under the blanket and couldn’t escape.

Since Xia Yu hadn’t admitted being a girl, they chatted with Jiang Hanhan and Xia Ling, “So Jiang Hanhan, Xiaoling, Xia Yu is actually a girl too, right?”

“Of course. We all saw it, but keep it secret. Otherwise, heavy consequences.”

Li Jia and Gao Yao finally got it—Xia Yu was a girl, which explained her unique behavior with boys and her frequent visits to the girls’ restroom. Her delicate appearance confirmed their suspicions of cross-dressing.

“Umm, you all talk. I’ll go wash up,” Huang Qiao left to get ready.

Xiaoyao wondered if she could join in the fun once Huang Qiao was done. Xiaoyao and Li Jia discussed with Xia Ling, leaving Xia Yu suffocating under the blanket.

Curiously peeping outside, Xia Yu tried to breathe fresh air. Unexpectedly, Li Jia caught her, pinning her down.

“I caught something good!” Xia Yu: “…”

Determined, Xia Yu pulled the blanket off… but it didn’t budge.

Stuck under the blanket, Xia Yu struggled, barely managing one small peek.

Gao Yao laughed, “Alright, let me feel her little face. I’ve wanted to do this forever.”

Seeing Xia Yu in trouble, Xia Ling smirked, “Your little sister is getting it and doesn’t need help.”

“She says her job is to hold you in place. So, stay down!”
