Chapter 33: Dubious Vulnerability
The theater performance has concluded.
Audience members slowly leave the theater one by one.
Night Star remains seated, with Mo Rabbit by her side.
“Mo Rabbit, why can those audience members enter the theater?”
“Because they are loyal fans of the theater group, so entering the theater is normal. As long as they wish to watch the show, they can come in. After all, that’s how theaters exist. If they couldn’t, then what would be the point?”
“Hmm…”
Night Lan muses.
Though she is glad to see the theater group have so many loyal fans, a part of her feels uncomfortable. Why?
It’s annoying.
Night Star lowers her head, feelings growing more complex.
Seeing this, Mo Rabbit and other troupe members gather around.
“What’s wrong, Audience Performer? Are you feeling ill?”
“Take a break first. We’ll give you a private performance later.”
“Tomorrow, the theater might be packed again. Is this what it means to be a famous troupe? There’s no need to worry about losing fans.”
“Come on, Audience Performer, let’s dance together.”
“First, how about we sing a song first?”

Troupe member voices echo in Night Star’s ears but don’t rouse her from her daze.
Something feels off.
Amidst the group’s concerned words, Night Star cuts them off.
“Silence.”
Night Star slowly opens her eyes, red irises filled with confusion.
“Something’s wrong…”
“What do you mean, Audience Performer?”
“This is what I hope for, what I desire, but… I can’t accept this now.”
A faint glow appears in Night Star’s eyes, a sign of anger.
“Why am I not experiencing this?”
“If such a future exists, it must include memories of my struggles with the troupe… I cherish those moments, and I can’t accept an outcome that feels fake!”
The troupe members are slightly stunned, still processing her words.
Night Star’s tantrum escalates.
“Why can so many people come into the theater? I’ve always seen this place as the perfect hideout, our private haven. Now suddenly, so many people… How could I possibly get used to this!”
Her breathing becomes heavier, clearly agitated.
Surrounding members look clueless, unsure what to do.
“Fake dreams? I don’t need them. Anyone who thinks I’d be swept away by them is deeply mistaken.”
Under Night Star’s intense emotions, a white light emerges, transforming into the form of the Wish Princess, hair a mix of black and white, eyes swirling between red and blue.
With a slight movement of her lips, the floor beneath shatters like glass, disintegrating quickly.
Boom!
Night Lan snaps out of it, noticing the Dream Narrator’s thoughtful expression.
The Wish Princess from the deeper dream hasn’t vanished; she’s standing before Night Lan now.
“Gah…”
Night Lan quickly hides behind the Wish Princess, glaring at the Dream Narrator, who appears quite ticked off.
“Quick, Wish Princess! Go bite her! She dared peek into my secrets—it’s outrageous!”
But the Dream Narrator is deep in thought.
“So, you want us to integrate into the real world? A nearly impossible feat. But if you did it, I guess it wouldn’t be unrealistic…”
The Dream Narrator looks at the mysterious presence beside Night Lan.
Although retaining human form, there’s something special about it.
From the girl’s words earlier…
“Wish Princess? Indeed, with your powers, anything seems possible. Because you possess that sort of strength.”
Hearing these bizarre words, Night Lan wants to kick him and run away.
But facts speak, she cannot outrun him—Speed B is useless, anyway!
And the Wish Princess won’t listen to her, leaving her even less confident.
As Night Lan contemplates her next move, the Dream Narrator surprisingly walks away.
“Dude! You sneak a peek and then scram!?”
Night Lan yells from behind the Wish Princess, gaining some courage from her presence.
The Dream Narrator hesitates, turning back.
“What compensation do you seek?”
“Mmm… That, um, tell me your weakness!”
Night Lan blurts out, realizing the absurdity of her request.
Generally, no one tells their enemy their weaknesses, right?
But unexpectedly, the Dream Narrator nods.
“Sure, here it is. My weakness is waking up from a dream. Like all of you, I’m asleep too. So, just wake me up.”
“Huh?”
Before Night Lan can react, the Dream Narrator leaves with the Dream Pursuer Yin.
Both Star Eclipses vanish swiftly from her sight.
“Just like that?”
Night Lan scratches her head, puzzled.
Guess, she should be safe now.
She hadn’t felt calm since the Dream Narrator was around.
Without the Wish Princess holding her, she might have fainted.
Reflecting on his words, Night Lan falls deep in thought.
“Wait, he said his weakness is waking up. So if I make him wake up in this dream, will he appear in reality afterward? That means the Dream Narrator would wake up into the real world too?”
She quickly reaches this conclusion and brags to herself about being clever.
But the question arises.
Did the Dream Narrator lie about his weakness?
Who knows.
Even if she knew waking him was his weakness, she had no idea how to do it.
Maybe she needed to beat him up?
Fatally, Night Lan couldn’t imagine anyone beating up a god-like figure in a dream, which sounds pointless.
“Forget it, better hand over this info to the Leader… Let them figure it out.”
She sighs, giving up.
She’d been thinking too much lately, despite wanting a break.
This half-baked state is miserable.
“At least I’m the most reliable.”
Hold on, did the Dream Narrator think she’d forget his weakness once she left the dream?
In which case, it makes sense he’d be so confident.
His credibility rises significantly.
Anyway, being the bug of the dream, she had no choice but to play along.
