Chapter 39: Booted Off the Bed
The Dream Narrator looked at the gloomy group and maintained an elegant smile.
“How about this? The graceful me will give you all a chance. If your genuine desire is to protect the order, then let’s have a duel! If you can touch me, I’ll leave the city. If you can’t, well, let’s see.”
The Leader and the others remained silent.
Night Lan sneaked off to one side, planning to be a transparent spectator.
Judging from this tension… It seems like a fight is imminent.
Night Lan found a spot to sit and prepared to watch the show.
“Fight! Fight!”
As long as it doesn’t involve her, everything is fine.
Violence is so scary, right?
The group of Sunlight Night Watchers looked at each other silently, as if they had already agreed on something without speaking.
Then, the Leader gave the signal.
“Attack.”
In the next second, the majority of the Sunlight Night Watchers charged forward.
The Leader stood still, seemingly deep in thought.
At this point, they seemed to have no other choice.
From his observation, that guy definitely wouldn’t accept any boring negotiations.
And in the dream world, the restrictions placed on the Night Watchers were immense, leaving them with few options left but to give it a try.
Even if this attempt didn’t succeed, they might still be able to learn crucial information that could help them in the future, provided no one got hurt.
As long as they touched him.
Although the Dream Limited Version of the Star was insignificant compared to the real thing, there was still some potential.
If all the Night Watchers worked together, they could probably pull it off.
Night Lan watched from a distance, eyes full of anticipation.
She was about to witness a rare scene of the Sunlight Night Watchers working together.
How could she not be excited?
Back to the scene:
A mature man with curly brown hair suddenly stopped after running a certain distance. He started emitting wild electric arcs around him.
“Electronic Matrix.”
【Electronic Matrix】is Lewis’s Star Power, capable of manipulating electricity for attack or defense, without any fancy effects, just plain, straightforward violence!
“Electric g*n!”
A massive current formed into a g*n-like shape and attacked the Dream Narrator at lightning speed.
Just as it was about to hit, the Dream Narrator vanished and reappeared elsewhere.
“Psychokinesis!”
Another one of the Sunlight Night Watchers, who remained stationary, started using Psychic Power to try and control the Dream Narrator’s body, but to no avail.
So he could only affect other structures and use them to attack the Dream Narrator.
Boom!
But unfortunately, the Dream Narrator was far more agile than they imagined.
Perhaps in this dream, he did not even need to take a step.
He moved like a Space Star, continually teleporting to avoid the Night Watchers’ charge, as effortlessly as breathing.
Every time a close combat-oriented Sunlight Night Watcher almost reached him, he teleported away, making them look like they were being toyed with.
Just like Liu Ying Mo, trying to sneak up on him.
Too bad in the dream, the 【Acceleration Field】could only boost her speed to Super Speed B.
This level of speed wasn’t enough to touch the Dream Narrator; every move was easily avoided by him.
And the long-range attacks couldn’t reach him while other types of Stars didn’t work at all in dreams.
With the Night Watchers’ limits weakened in the dream world, even teaming up wasn’t enough to catch a glimpse of the Dream Narrator’s clothing.
Seeing this fact, the Leader narrowed his eyes.
As expected, the Dream Narrator was invincible in the dream world.
Even the mightiest of the Sunlight Night Watchers were just weaklings here, unable to compete.
Only those with Star Power could be called Sunlight Night Watchers. Without that power or relying on the twisted Stars given by the dream world, how could they possibly utilize their own strength?
Each of the Capital’s Sunlight Night Watchers was a capable individual who could even guard entire cities alone.
Yet, here in the dream world, they were utterly useless.
The Leader looked at the Sunlight Night Watchers mocking by the Dream Narrator with a complicated heart.
Though the Capital had seen more complex Star Eclipses before, none were as troublesome as this.
The Night Watchers hadn’t yet found a way to counter him because he had only been around for a week.
With time, they would definitely find a way.
Unfortunately, they were currently powerless against the Dream Narrator.
Even though his weakness was waking up from the dream, getting him to do so in a dream was another matter.
Seeing this, the Leader decided not to join the battle.
Just then, the Dream Narrator paused and returned to Dream Pursuer Yin.
“Fascinating, you cannot break through the dream’s restrictions. How could you ever touch me? You’re nothing, really. Best to admit your inferiority.”
No sooner had the words left his mouth, the Dream Narrator casually waved.
Suddenly, all the Night Watchers felt a repelling force as if pushed by something.
In the next second, they instantly vanished.
Even the bystander, Night Lan, wasn’t spared.
Unlike last time, the Dream Narrator didn’t need Dream Pursuer Yin to blow the Dream Awaking Flute this time. Instead, he forcefully expelled them using his identity as the Dream Weaver.
It was akin to being removed forcefully using Administrator permissions from a chat group.
Upon seeing the complete clear-out, the Dream Narrator took Dream Pursuer Yin back to the Day-Night Reversal Club.
There were many people here, enough for him to watch their deepest dreams until nightfall.
As for some special “bug,” let her do as she pleases.
What actions she would take were also within the Dream Narrator’s interest to observe.
Back to reality.
Night Lan clutched her head and rolled off the bed.
Bang!
“Ouch ouch, how painful! Couldn’t the guy use a gentler method to get rid of people?!”
Night Lan’s head throbbed intensely, even Night Star was affected.
The two Lolis rolling on the ground emitted pitiful cries, looking quite miserable.
Seconds later, golden light illuminated the room.
【Life Blessing】took effect, and Night Lan’s headache quickly subsided.
Night Lan exhaled, finally feeling some relief.
She felt that if this headache continued, she’d faint.
Indeed, Dream Pursuer Yin’s sleep-inducing flute was the best alarm clock.
The Dream Narrator’s action felt like kicking her out of bed, rather callously.
d*mn Dream Narrator, causing so much trouble!
“I’ll wear sharp boots and kick your b*tt the moment I get the chance…”
After muttering like this for a while, Night Lan finally recovered.
Except her, the other Night Watchers should have been kicked out of the dream as well.
However, Night Lan remembered the event, so probably the other Night Watchers were rather bewildered.
Maybe even the Leader was clutching his head and experiencing a headache too.
