Chapter 402: Perversity
Jiang Kekai looked deep into Xia Ling’s eyes and said after a moment, “What’s there to bet about? Xia Yu and I can get married anytime. We just don’t feel like doing it too soon.”
“Are you afraid?”
“No, it’s not that I’m afraid. It’s just unnecessary. If I knew when you guys got married, then I could swoop in one day earlier. And vice versa, but it wouldn’t be fun this way.”
One must admit, Jiang Kekai’s analysis was pretty thorough. Xia Ling didn’t have the heart to argue further: “Alright, then.”
Compared to Xia Yu and Jiang Kekai, Xia Ling and Jiang Hanhang were around the same age, so Xia Ling felt kind of shy doing all the feeding stuff. Luckily, Jiang Hanhang didn’t seem eager for feedings either.
Why eat slowly when she could devour everything whole and fast?
Jiang Kekai leaned against Xia Yu and, before the IV drip was done, she summoned a doctor to help remove the needle. The remaining two bags of medicine would be administered at home later. So, Xia Yu finally got to relax back home.
It was unclear whether it was because of the IV fluids, but Xia Yu didn’t feel any more pain after the drip. To her, the hospital was a magical place, although showing up for such issues was quite embarrassing.
It was now well past one in the morning. In a big city, one in the morning wasn’t late by any means; traffic was still bustling, and street vendors were quite common.
During the ride back, Xia Yu passed by some street stalls; they smelled delicious, and Xia Yu wanted to indulge but knew her little Ning sister wouldn’t allow it.
Sure enough, after seeing Xia Yu gaze at a street stall, Jiang Kekai pulled her close: “You can’t eat those things now. You can once you’re fully recovered.”
“Okay.”
Xia Yu didn’t resist, anyway, her little Ning sister’s arms were soft and sweet, and she loved being pampered like that. Nobody else was around, after all.
Zhao Wei was driving, with Jiang Hanhang and Xia Ling as the other passengers. They had paired up and no longer had the cheek to laugh at Xia Yu. Back home, Jiang Kekai wanted Xia Yu to go straight to rest; she feared Xia Yu might catch a chill taking a bath.
However, after feeling better, Xia Yu bravely said, “I won’t catch a cold if I take a hot bath, and I won’t sleep without one, so let me do it, little Ning sister. You wouldn’t want your stinky sis, would you?”
“You’re not stinky.”
Seeing Xia Yu pouting pathetically, Jiang Kekai reluctantly agreed: “Fine, hurry up and wash up, or don’t blame me if you get sick tomorrow.” “Mmm.”
Finally, Xia Yu cheerfully ran to the bathroom. She had developed a bit of OCD lately and felt uncomfortable without a daily shower. In the bathroom, when Xia Yu removed her tiny panties…there was bleeding.
Right, she was on her period, so the bleeding was normal. Xia Yu just found the amount a bit excessive, which explained why she felt so miserable. Snap!
Jiang Kekai entered the bathroom to find her little cutie standing there gazing at the bloody underwear, speechless: “Pretty, Xia Yu?”
Uh…
Embarrassed, Xia Yu carefully took off the sanitary napkin, wrapped it in black trash, and avoided answering. Jiang Kekai had meant to tease Xia Yu anyway; otherwise, little cute would probably whine about pain the next day. Truly a mix of playful yet delicate.
With the water temperature adjusted, Jiang Kekai helped Xia Yu—and herself—bathe and shampoo. Xia Yu let little Ning sister handle her, used to it by now. Gradually, as she relaxed, she reminisced.
Back in the day, when she was still a boy, she had been quite the character! Though she ended up being sold out by her own teammates under her brother Xia Le’s watch, it gave her multiple chances to prove her mettle. Unlucky that luck never favored her.
She wondered what he’d think if he saw her now.
Recalling her first time turning into a girl—then she’d been determined to return to being a boy again—but over time, her desire faded. Now, she mainly wished others could understand her.
Unluckily, it seemed an unattainable goal, so she had always been scared to face it.
“What are you thinking about?”
Always ready to take advantage, Jiang Kekai noticed Xia Yu’s distant gaze while washing up. It was unusual for Xia Yu, could it be a sickness?
“Not much, I was just wondering what those who admire you, little Ning sister, would say if they knew their genius young lady liked someone like me.”
“So you’re secretly rejoicing?”
Jiang Kekai playfully pinched Xia Yu’s smooth cheek with a smile. How lucky was she to meet such a delightful Xia Yu?
Jiang Kekai knew she was possessive, had even worried others wouldn’t accept such selfishness until she met Xia Yu. Deciding to take a chance, she pursued her.
Lucky her, they both considered each other first and Xia Yu appreciated—not minded—her sometimes excessive adoration. Satisfied.
Tap tap tap.
“Are you two done in there? Are you sleeping inside? I’m changing!” Jiang Hanhang interrupted, breaking the serene mood. Jiang Kekai:
Xia Yu:
Ignoring her sibling, Jiang Hanhang looked at Xia Yu, “Xia Yu, weren’t you wanting revenge? I’ll give you that right after.”
“Ok.”
Hearing this, Xia Yu suddenly came alive. She’d thought this whole thing would drag out forever, but it happened so quickly. It was a good thing Jiang Hanhang was reckless enough.
Their exchange was loud enough for Jiang Hanhang outside the door to hear. Suddenly, regretting her impulsive act…
“Well…you…do what you need to do…no worries.”
Awkward words out, Jiang Hanhang dashed over to Xia Ling, who was sitting on the couch and playing with her phone, “Ugh, Xiao Ling, my sister wants to bully me with Xiao Yu, it’s scary!”
Xia Ling:
“If you’re scared, just lock yourself in your room.”
“But I want to take a bath.”
“In that case, good luck with that. Wait and rot.”
Though she said this, Xia Ling only rolled her eyes at Jiang Hanhang’s vivacious self and pulled her into an embrace, “I’ve told you not to be so reckless. Now look at the trouble you’ve landed us in?”
“Haha, a person’s nature isn’t easily changed.”
Since their confession, the gap between Jiang Hanhang and Xia Ling was gone. So now, Jiang Hanhang loved Xia Ling’s approach. Isn’t this love?
