Chapter 44: Adorably Dressed
After leaving the Rising Sun Theater, Night Star and company appeared near the Library in the Calligraphy and Painting Entertainment District.
The moment they showed up, Night Star hid the Star Eclipses’ aura among them.
It wasn’t just hidden; it was as if they had never been there at all.
From a surface-level perspective, they looked like a small group on a team-building trip.
Of course, ordinary people would find it nearly impossible to detect the presence of Star Eclipses anyway; as long as they didn’t attract attention, they were good to go.
“Let’s go.”
Mo Rabbit followed, casually remarking, “Since we’re out shopping, have you decided where you want to go?”

Before they left, Night Star had already discussed it with Kong Yu Bai and the others.
“We’ll check out the Clothing District first.”
A short while later, Night Star and company left the entertainment district and arrived at the nearby clothing district.
Night Star led her crew inside.
“It’s only right to buy some clothes when you’re out having fun, especially for the Group Leader, Gentleman, and Fraudster. They should grab a few snazzy outfits to show off their class.”
“Clothes? Nah, no need. Changing one’s image can be done by adjusting how we see things with my deception skills.”
The Fraudster was quite confident that his ability alone could solve everything—apparently, he didn’t need any clothes.
Gentleman chimed in, “Fraudster, since the Audience Performer says so, let’s avoid spoiling the fun. This outing is for pleasure after all.”
“Hmm, fair enough.”
Seeing no objections, Night Star led them to the men’s section, where she quickly picked out a few outfits.
“Here, try these on!”
She handed the selected outfits to the Group Leader, Gentleman, and Fraudster, clearly expecting them to give it a shot.
Group Leader and company soon came back out of the dressing rooms.
Man, they couldn’t change clothes that fast, could they?
Maybe they aren’t even real bodies.
Night Star eagerly watched on.
Now dressed in regular clothes, Group Leader and his gang seemed much more down-to-earth. Their vibe completely changed.
No longer in theater costumes but in casual wear, they blended seamlessly with human society, causing no dissonance whatsoever.
Modern short-sleeves and long pants still accentuated their charm.
If this was how they walked around, people would probably mistake them for celebrities.
Gentleman wore a warm smile and turned to Night Star, “Audience Performer, what do you think?”
Night Star promptly gave a thumbs-up!
“Wow! Let’s go around town in these!”
Even as a loli enthusiast, Night Star found the trio’s new look stunning.
No matter his age, the Group Leader exuded a maturity and handsomeness, towering tall and invincible. Gentleman was as charming and polite as his codename suggested; he radiated a gentlemanly demeanor.
But Fraudster had a rather dominant vibe.

“Why don’t you take off your mask? It feels like you’re always wearing it.”

Fraudster adjusted the mask on his face, not minding sharing the story with Night Star.
Nodding, Night Star smiled in return.
“Sure, I’d love to hear more.”
With their outfits for the day picked, it was the ladies’ turn.
Night Star and her crew headed to the ladies’ section.
The dazzling selection of clothes dazzled Night Star immediately.
Not being familiar with women’s fashion, she found a lot of subtleties she didn’t understand.
Kong Yu Bai saw Night Star in a dilemma and stepped in.
“Let me help. My fashion sense is pretty solid.”

“Impromptu, select a set yourself.”

“Not an option. Everyone else has new clothes on. You have to pick one too!”
Seeing Night Star’s determined face, Mo Rabbit knew she was cornered.
“Alright, I’ll take a look in the men’s section then.”
But before she could turn, Kong Yu Bai and Book Yao each grabbed her hand.
“You can’t leave.”
“Just stay here.”
Mo Rabbit froze, lips twitching.
“What is this about?”
Kong Yu Bai smiled sweetly, “Impromptu, now you’re a cute girl, and I’ve already picked something for you. Come on, change.”
Silent for a moment, Mo Rabbit knew she had no escape.
“Okay, okay.”
Over by Night Star, a triumphant grin spread across her face.
A true girl should indeed wear cute outfits.
Once habits formed, there was no going back.
This was actually part of Impromptu’s transformation plan!
