Chapter 412: Chaos Ensues
“Coming! Coming!”
Jiang Hanhang happily pulled Xia Ling out of the room to feast on food. She was particularly enthusiastic about eating, as feasting was one of her favorite things in life.
However, seeing that the table was filled with nothing but vegetables made her a bit sad. With an adorably pouty face, she turned to Xia Yu and asked, “Xia Yu, where’s the meat? I told you I wanted spare ribs, didn’t I? Did you hide them? You definitely hid them, right?”
“Do you think I would hide your precious spare ribs? If you want to eat them, make them yourself.”
Xia Yu chuckled smugly. After all, only she knew how to cook. Even if they could figure out how to cook the ribs, there was no guarantee they’d be tasty.
Seeing Xia Yu like this, Jiang Hanhang instantly understood what was going through her mind. She couldn’t believe Xia Yu actually used food as a form of rebellion, but hey, food isn’t a weapon, right?
Without meat, Jiang Hanhang’s mood plummeted. She had overestimated Xia Yu’s appetite—she thought Xia Yu wouldn’t be petty, who knew Xia Yu could be just as small-minded as her. And once she was a guy!
Although there wasn’t any meat, Jiang Hanhang still sat down in front of the dining table with Xia Ling, since they still needed to eat to stay healthy. The bickering between the two ended up turning into quite a mess. Jiang Kekai felt it was time she did something before things went too far and they literally starved each other.
So, while they were eating, Jiang Kekai spoke up, “Can’t we just stop causing trouble and act like old times? Is it really necessary?” But no sooner had she finished her statement when Jiang Hanhang seemingly choked on something from her food, then quickly bolted for the bathroom…
Watching Jiang Hanhang in such a state, Xia Yu couldn’t help but grin widely. What a relief!

Jiang Kekai: “..…”
After nearly half a minute, Jiang Hanhang finally came out of the bathroom rinsing her mouth. The first thing she did was complain to Xia Ling, “Xia Ling, Xia Yu is too much! She put salt in my bowl. It’s so salty!”
Despite the situation, Xia Yu continued to chuckle; she made no attempt to hide that she was behind it. For her, as long as she got back at Jiang Hanhang, it was worth it.
Looking back and forth between Xia Yu and Jiang Hanhang, Xia Ling felt conflicted. She wanted to spoil them both, but worried about hurting one of them in the process. Helpless, Xia Ling decided to pass the buck to Jiang Kekai: “Big Boss, can you control your wife? She’s picking on your little sister!”
Jiang Kekai shook her head, frustrated, “Enough, stop arguing and reconcile, okay? This way, there won’t be so many problems.”
“Impossible!”
Jiang Hanhang was the first to respond. Having been messed with by Xia Yu, she wouldn’t let it slide without getting her own back.
Thus, the pitiful-looking Jiang Hanhang cuddling with Xia Ling transformed back into a fierce warrior, standing up straight and pointing at Xia Yu, “Watch your step, don’t let me catch you off-guard!”
“Scaredy-cat? I used to be a guy!”
Xia Yu stood firm. Since transforming, this was her first time feeling so combative—not that Xia Ling or Jiang Kekai were any match for her, only Jiang Hanhang was somewhat capable of a fight. Although, to be honest, Xia Yu hadn’t won yet.
Observing their determination, Jiang Kekai and Xia Ling were a bit exasperated. They had no idea why these two were so stubborn about it, especially since the battle was escalating quickly and affecting everything around them, including today’s meal.
“That’s enough! Stop it!”
Jiang Kekai decided to take matters into hand. Wrapping her arm around Xia Yu, she declared, “Whoever starts a fight will get a spanking.” “Big Sis, but now…”
“Don’t make me repeat myself.”
“Muhh… Xia Ling, my Big Sis doesn’t love me anymore,” whined Jiang Hanhang, diving back into Xia Ling’s arms for comfort. From Jiang Hanhang’s perspective, she was now firmly attached to Xia Yu.
Unseen by Jiang Hanhang, Xia Ling gave Jiang Kekai a thumbs-up to express her approval. Jiang Kekai, satisfied with Jiang Hanhang’s reaction, could only roll her eyes in response.
Compared to Jiang Hanhang’s distress, Xia Yu was quite pleased. Little Ning-sister was indeed on her side. Now that her revenge was complete, if Jiang Hanhang tried anything again, she’d be in for a surprise.
In short, after Xia Ling had calmed Jiang Hanhang, they resumed their meal. Of course, Jiang Hanhang’s salted rice couldn’t be salvaged, so she had to go fetch new food. On her way back, Jiang Hanhang glared at Xia Yu, clearly still perturbed. The lunch round was a resounding win for Xia Yu.

Due to Xia Yu’s heavy-handed approach with the salt, the dishes became unbearably salty. Out of respect, Xia Ling forced herself to swallow it.
As for Jiang Kekai, she didn’t want Xia Yu to witness her struggle nor did she want Xia Yu to feel bad, so she pretended everything was fine and wolfed down a large portion of rice to mask the taste.
It seemed they had seriously underestimated Xia Yu’s cunning. She was surprisingly capable, which made her someone hard to provoke.
Neither Xia Ling nor Jiang Kekai found it polite to point out the overly salty food, causing Jiang Hanhang to think it was normal. She eagerly picked up a large forkful of greens, intending to vent her frustration.
By the time Xia Ling noticed and attempted to stop her, it was already too late. “Xia Yu, I hate you!”
Mumbling those words, Jiang Hanhang dashed off to the bathroom again. Her fear of Xia Yu was growing by the minute.
Internally, Xia Yu was secretly pleased, but she maintained a stoic appearance. After all, Little Ning-sister had just warned them against fighting, so she couldn’t afford to smirk.

Xia Yu was forced to admit defeat, choking on her food. “Serves you right,” joked Xia Ling.
While Xia Yu was her sister, Jiang Hanhang was her girlfriend and future wife. So, Xia Ling decided to tease Xia Yu for her actions. It had gone too far, and the chaos was evident.
Indeed, looking at the increasingly chaotic scene, Jiang Kekai realized her cute girl had quite an appetite for mischief.
