### Chapter 8: Windshield Fun
Night Lan and Bai Yu arrived at the Night Watcher Base in no time.
They hadn’t had breakfast yet, so they figured they could have Neko Shinna cook them something.
However, before Night Lan even had a chance to look for Neko Shinna, she received a message from Xiao Jin.
“Night Lan, there’s something sent back from headquarters, and it says you’re the recipient. Come confirm it.”
“Huh? I’ll be right over.”
Night Lan immediately thought of what could be happening. She instructed Bai Yu to find Neko Shinna, while she headed to the location Xiao Jin had sent.
Arriving at the floor, Night Lan quickly spotted Xiao Jin.
“Boss! What’s that thing?”
“See for yourself.”
“Okay.”
Night Lan approached Xiao Jin, examining what had been brought back from headquarters.
Upon closer inspection, it was indeed the Sunlight Night Watcher Stellar Tech Car she chose at headquarters.
Who would have thought it really came back today!
Talk about efficiency!
Night Lan happily jumped onto the hood of the car, looking like a kid who just got their favorite toy.
Xiao Jin, who was watching, couldn’t help but ask, “Night Lan, didn’t this car belong to the headquarter’s special team? How come you own one?”

“Because I helped Leader solve the Star Eclipses incident, so he made me a Sunlight Night Watcher from the headquarters and gave me this car.”
“Uh? The Sunlight Night Watcher from the headquarters?”
Xiao Jin initially thought it was impossible.
He knew Leader wouldn’t expose Night Lan to public eyes.
The Sunlight Night Watcher of the headquarters was like a shining star in the capital, drawing lots of attention from different forces. Getting involved in some weird political events was almost inevitable.
If Night Lan were exposed, the secret of the Extraordinary Star would soon follow.
This was top-secret information; Leader should know what he was doing.
Before Xiao Jin could continue interrogating, Night Lan added, “Actually, only Leader knows about me being the Sunlight Night Watcher of the headquarters. This was just a verbal promotion, not recorded in any files. I just wanted a cool car. Everything else is fine.”
After hearing that, something clicked.
“So that’s how it is.”
Xiao Jin quickly grasped Leader’s thought process.
Night Lan wasn’t officially a Night Watcher yet, but she played a huge role in resolving the Star Eclipses incident.
However, it remained a secret, so verbally bestowing her the title and giving her this insanely expensive car was the reward.
That would make sense.
But the casual way Leader did this surely showed favoritism towards Night Lan.
He probably couldn’t do anything about this little loli.
Thinking this, Xiao Jin looked at Night Lan, who was all over the car, and asked, “So, can you drive?”
“Um, practice makes perfect.”
“It’s better to be safe, maybe I should send someone to teach you?”
“Nah, I saw the manual. As long as we follow the instructions, it’ll work fine!”
Night Lan pulled out her Night Watcher device and started checking the user manual for the Stellar Tech Car.

Actual driving would depend on her skills.

And the headquarters’ Stellar Tech Car’s autopilot was even more advanced, with AI-driving beating human drivers by a mile.
Modes like “turning fast is real speed, who doesn’t accelerate on a straight road?” would be easily handled by autopilot.
Even a loli like Night Lan could drive with the help of autopilot unless it was a special situation demanding manual control.
Soon after, Night Lan put away her phone, wearing a look of excitement.
“Determined! After breakfast, I’ll take you guys for a spin!”
“Just be careful.”
Xiao Jin had nothing else to say.
A moment later, Night Lan returned to Zero Meow’s little house.
Neko Shinna had already prepared breakfast, waiting for everyone.
All the little lolis were present.
Seeing Night Lan back, Neko Shinna stood up and walked to the small kitchen in the lounge area, retrieving the breakfast she had prepared.
“Night Lan, I made your breakfast, come eat.”
“Thanks Shinna!”
Night Lan sat down, savoring the delicious breakfast prepared by Neko Shinna, looking quite content.
What a peaceful life indeed!
Zero Meow was sketching on her digital pad, Bai Yu and Night Lan were eating breakfast, Neko Shinna looked on as they ate her creation, while Star Yin was playing a game and muttering, “Fishing rules supreme, fishing forever glorified.”
These little lolis could hang out freely, carefree of complex social relations, and what environment could be better suited for this kind of atmosphere?
“By the way, how about I take you for a drive later? I have a pretty cool car, which will make our outings more convenient.”
“Can we fish while driving?” Star Yin asked cautiously, as if Night Lan’s answer would determine her decision.
“As long as you don’t throw up, sure.”
“I’m in.”
Zero Meow gave her a jealous look, full of envy.
“What? Your own flying car? Even I don’t have one. Could it be that Night Lan is being kept by a rich old lady?”
“Nope!”
Night Lan moved her gaze away.

Kong Yu Bai was the most prominent among them.
The former world’s songstress was basically richer than countries.
Though, it had no connection to the car she received.
She couldn’t explain where the car came from, so she just avoided the topic.
“A friend lent it to me. It has advanced autopilot features; no crashing involved.”
“So that’s it, I’m coming along.”
Following Zero Meow and Star Yin’s approval, Bai Yu and Neko Shinna didn’t object either.
Thus, the plan was set for the day!

Night Star was planning a discussion with the theater group on the Grand Performance in Qi Yuan City.
It was a significant event, something that needed serious thought and effort.
At least, it shouldn’t fall below Yun Chang City’s level—everyone needed to work together.
That was the key for making it a spectacular performance once more.
