### Chapter 9: The Stage Play
Night Star stood on the stage, delivering an impassioned speech.
“The Grand Performance! It’s all about grandiosity! We must put on a show that’ll knock people’s socks off!”
Down below, other theater group members sat in their seats, which was the reverse of their usual positions.
The Group Leader clapped gently and said with a warm tone, “So, any suggestions from the Audience Performer?”
“Um~ The stage effects matter a lot. Let’s leave it to the Announcer for now!”
Night Star pointed at Mo Rabbit.
After all, Mo Rabbit had been responsible for the previous stage setup.
This time would be no different.
“Sigh… That’ll be quite tiring.”
Mo Rabbit sighed helplessly but agreed anyway. After all, she was the Announcer.
But since she was being tasked with so much, the Audience Performer, Night Star, couldn’t sit around idly.
“If we’re following the standards of last time, then the Audience Performer should also participate in the show, right?”

Mo Rabbit grinned cutely.
“It’s inevitable. Since it’s a Grand Performance, every member should participate. This is meant to make more people aware of our theater group and its members, after all.”

Night Star fell into deep thought.
She wasn’t too opposed to going on stage after all.
She had faced audiences as a world-renowned singer before and participated in the Grand Performance last time, facing the entire city.
After the first and second times, the third one was less daunting.
With some effort, she could manage.
“But what shall we choose as our theme? Excluding opera, we need something fresh.”
This was a tough decision for the theater group.
They were versatile in everything, but group performances can’t be dictated by one person.
“How about drawing lots?”
Night Star, who had choice paralysis, opted for this method.
Then she wrote several notes, crumpled them into balls, placed them in a small box, gave it a few shakes, and randomly picked one out to open.
“Let’s do a stage play! We’ll do a stage play!”
Having decided, Night Star turned to Book Yao.
“Playwright, you’re in charge of writing the script for the stage play!”
“Alright, I’ll take care of it.”
For a large-scale event like the Grand Performance, it can’t be done casually like regular shows.
A meticulous script is necessary.
And since the Audience Performer will join this time, perhaps even the makeup artist, or anyone else, might join in.
That’s something to confirm.
With a bunch of characters involved, there’s plenty to write.
Night Star walked down from the stage and sat on Ko Yu Pai’s lap, emitting a despondent voice.
“I’m starving~ Take me to eat something, Songstress, I haven’t had breakfast yet.”
Ko Yu Pai gently pinched Night Star’s tender face and carried her out of the theater with a smile.
“I’ll take you to the dining and entertainment district in Qi Yuan City for breakfast. What would you like?”
“Whatever, just fill my stomach.”
“That’s not a great answer. Show some initiative!”
“Uh… Then let’s decide later.”
Night Star leaned against Ko Yu Pai’s chest, not thinking about anything further.
### Scene Shift
Night Lan’s Guard Post in Yun Chang City.
Night Lan led White Fish and others to the storage area for the Star Cars, which was their parking garage located high up in the skyscrapers.
From there, they could fly out and reach their route.
“Look—this is the ride we’ll be taking next.”
Zero Meow hurried over to touch it.
“Meow~ It’s so cool! It doesn’t seem like a regular car; must be something made by the Guard Post. Could Night Lan’s friend be a Guard here?”
“Sorta, but let’s save the chit-chat and get going!”
Then Night Lan took the driver’s seat, while White Fish took the passenger seat.
Zero Meow, Star Yoon, and Neko Shinna squeezed in the back, leaving plenty of room. They could even fit another loli with ease.
Earlier, Night Lan had tested the performance.
This car could start with people directly, no setup needed. Just set the destination on the phone.
The self-driving mode would guide them.
“Let’s go!”
With that, Night Lan started the Star Car.
The vehicle quickly left the ground, hovering in the air, before propelling forward with force.
Excitedly sitting in the driver’s seat, Night Lan’s hands eagerly gripped the steering wheel as if she were actually driving.
Unfortunately, she hadn’t driven in a long time; her skills were rusty. She could only rely on the self-driving feature to satisfy the urge to drive.
“Buckle up, vroom!”
No sooner had she spoken than the Star Car zoomed away.
In the air, the car traveled at a steady pace, neither too fast nor too slow—mainly meant for cruising.
Night Lan looked at her phone instructions and started some features, such as “camouflage.”
Soon enough, the exterior colors and patterns of the car changed dramatically, almost like a different vehicle.
Night Lan gleefully stared at the screen showing the transformation, changing it several times. It felt fantastic!
It’s said this car has offensive capabilities and strong destructive power.
However, in the city area, they’d better not test that.
Inside the car, except for Star Yoon playing games, everyone was enjoying the scenery outside.
Then Night Lan remembered something.
“Speaking of which, based on patterns, the Rising Sun Theater Group will probably start the preparations for the Grand Performance, happening in Qi Yuan City. Anyone planning on checking it out?”
“Grand Performance? Meow?”
Zero Meow recalled the last Grand Performance and felt intrigued but also a bit apprehensive.
“Hmm, I really wanna see it, but the scale of the Star Eclipses is so high.”
Being longer at the Guard Post than the others, she was quite sensitive to these matters.
Walking in the peripheral areas of the Star Eclipses events would be better, but getting close up? Not her style.

Zero Meow sounded unsure, not resolute about it.
But White Fish didn’t mind as long as Night Lan wanted to bring her.
As for Neko Shinna and Star Yoon, they hadn’t formed that mindset.
Still, they watched the previous Grand Performance because of Night Lan’s strong recommendation.
Their sole impression was it was exciting and interesting, nothing more.
“Those cool and pretty people’s performance last time? If so, I want to see their show too; it sounds awesome,” Neko Shinna found herself strangely interested.
That’s another thing aside from cooking that could catch her attention.
Amidst slacking, a hint of hesitation crept into Star Yoon’s eyes, debating whether to watch or continue slacking.
But on reflection, watching a show to pass time also counts as slacking!
