### Chapter 16: It’s Being Edited, It’s Being Edited
Night Watcher Base, Yun Chang City.
Night Lan arrived at Zero Meow’s lounge to find everyone already gathered.
Zero Meow shot Night Lan a glance and couldn’t help but quip, “I was just wondering if you were still in bed, considering it’s this late. Even pigs should be awake by now! I almost sent White Fish to wake you up, meow!”
Neko Shinna, seeing Night Lan had arrived, got up and headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for her.
“Night Lan, breakfast is ready! Come eat!”
“Mm-hm.”
Night Lan sat down to enjoy the breakfast made with love by Neko Shinna.
A beautiful day begins with a heartwarming breakfast from Neko Shinna!
“Mmm~ After I finish breakfast, I’ll take you guys to Qi Yuan City!”
Zero Meow tilted her head in confusion.
“Meow? Are we taking a car?”
“Nope, we can get there quickly!”
Zero Meow looked even more puzzled.
Suddenly, she recalled something and her eyes widened.
“Wait a minute, could it be… Night Lan’s star?!”
It’s a bit embarrassing, but despite knowing Night Lan for so long, Zero Meow didn’t really know what her star was.
The only thing she remembered was that Night Lan could run really fast.
But even if she could run super fast, there’s no way she could transport four people in the blink of an eye, right?
If she really could, it would be like long-distance teleportation!
But those with space-type stars usually can’t teleport between cities, and the technology at the Night Watcher Base isn’t advanced enough for long-distance transport.
However, stars can grow, so maybe Night Lan had advanced to that magical level.
So Zero Meow’s suspicion that Night Lan could use her star for this purpose wasn’t entirely unreasonable.
But then Night Lan’s next words directly shot down that speculation.
“Wrong! It’s not my star!”
“Then what is it, meow…”
“So just wait a bit, you’ll find out very soon.”
“I can’t wait, meow! Don’t you know curiosity kills the cat?”
Zero Meow outright climbed out of bed and walked over to Night Lan, snatching the spoon from her hand.
“Now let me feed you! Honestly, meow, why do you have to dawdle over breakfast?” Zero Meow’s expression was a bit mournful.
If it were just a few days away, Zero Meow wouldn’t have been so curious.
But with the time fast approaching, Night Lan teasing them was just maddening.
Seeing Night Lan take her sweet time with breakfast, Zero Meow couldn’t help but feed her.
Night Lan didn’t mind at all; in fact, she was quite happy to let Zero Meow feed her.
Being fed by a cute girl is a treat, isn’t it?
“Come on~ come on~ don’t rush, just eat your fill first~”
Seeing Night Lan so carefree, Zero Meow pondered for a moment, then scooped up a spoonful of porridge, holding it up to her lips and letting her delicate little tongue test the temperature, as if worried it might be too hot for Night Lan. Once it felt just right, she promptly stuffed it into Night Lan’s mouth.
“Eat up, meow!”
“Mm-hm.”
After a while, Night Lan finally finished her meal thanks to Zero Meow’s sweet feeding.
“Well then, let’s head out!”
However, Night Lan showed no signs of moving.
As Zero Meow and the others looked puzzled, she raised her hand toward the wall, murmuring something under her breath.
“Theater Door.”
In the next moment, a mysterious, pitch-black door appeared on the lounge wall, exuding a star eclipse aura so faint that it was undetectable by Know Star.
“What… what is this, meow!?”
Zero Meow gaped at the scene, dumbstruck. Even Star Yoon paused her game, and Neko Shinna’s expression looked a bit dazed.
Only Night Lan and White Fish appeared as calm as water.
Then Night Lan stood up, led the way through the Theater Door, and winked back at Zero Meow and the others.
“Follow me, I’m taking you to a secret base, okay~”
White Fish, Star Yoon, and Neko Shinna followed after her.
Zero Meow hesitated for a moment but then tagged along as well.
A shift in perspective.
The five little lolis appeared in the dimly lit theater.
It was Zero Meow, Star Yoon, Neko Shinna; it was their first time in the theater, so they were all super curious.
Finally unable to contain herself, Zero Meow broke the silence.
“Night Lan, where exactly is this place, meow?”
“This is the Rising Sun Theater.”
“Mm-meow? Rising Sun Theater?”
Zero Meow’s expression turned from confused to wide-eyed, quickly becoming astonished.
“Meow?! Is this the secret hideout of the Rising Sun Theater Group?!”
“Correct~”
Night Lan glanced around the theater, not spotting any other group members.
They had all already gone to Qi Yuan City.
At that moment, Night Star and the others were busy munching on breakfast.
Right after they left, Night Lan brought Zero Meow and the others in to avoid scaring the little lolis with the presence of the theater group leader and others.
Night Lan couldn’t bear the thought of the adorable little lolis bursting into tears!
Feeling that, Zero Meow began to tremble slightly, her expression unnerved, like a cat with floppy ears.
“Meow… the members of the Rising Sun Theater Group aren’t nearby, are they…?”
Zero Meow nervously edged closer to Night Lan, as if being in a crowded place would ease her worries.
Night Lan gently reassured her, “Don’t worry! The members of the Rising Sun Theater Group have already gone out to prepare for the grand performance, so there’s not a single star eclipse in the theater.”
That’s right.
Even Guqiu, the prop performer, was out.
Now the Rising Sun Theater was completely empty, with only Zero Meow and the others who had just entered.
After hearing this, Zero Meow finally let out a breath, her expression towards Night Lan becoming a bit complicated.
“Night Lan… what exactly is your connection with the Rising Sun Theater? I’m getting more and more curious about who you really are, meow…”
Having previously suspected Night Lan’s identity, Zero Meow was able to accept it fairly quickly.
But new questions arose.
What exactly was Night Lan’s connection to the Rising Sun Theater?
What role did she play there?
Zero Meow wanted to know the answers.
“Hmm~”
Night Lan pondered for a moment before saying, “Actually… I’m good friends with the audience performers of the Rising Sun Theater.”
White Fish beside her blinked in surprise, then smiled without interrupting.
It seemed Night Lan didn’t want to reveal her secret identity just yet.
At least for now, she likely had concerns about some social faux pas.
Such worries are kinda cute.
Night Lan’s answer was also easier to accept than if she had claimed to be an audience performer herself; it didn’t feel as bizarre.
So Zero Meow quickly accepted it.
She trusted Night Lan’s words.
“Shocking me! Are you really friends with the audience performers? That’s so surprising! When did this happen? How come I had no idea?!”
Zero Meow grabbed Night Lan by the shoulders and shook her, seemingly eager for answers.
Cats have a heavy curiosity!
Though Zero Meow isn’t a real cat, her curiosity is on par with one!
“Ma~”
Night Lan scratched her cheek with a finger, appearing a bit at a loss for words.
It’s being edited, it’s being edited, don’t rush!
“Anyway, let’s head to Qi Yuan City first. I can explain everything once we get there, heehee~”
