**Chapter 21: The Show is Over**
The battle between the Judger and the Evil King had officially kicked off!
Mo Rabbit stood at the edge of the battlefield, desperately trying to narrate a storyline that the audience in the city could follow. It wasn’t easy, folks!
After a solid bit of exposition, Mo Rabbit decided to join the audience, giddy to witness just how the Evil King and Judger were going to duke it out.
“Are you the chosen Judger? Come on, show me if you have what it takes to end my reign!”
“I will end it—by the power of my sword!”
With that, they sprang into action.
The Evil King drew his sword, attacking the Judger with a massive, downward slash.
The Judger barely managed to parry, quickly bouncing back to avoid a direct confrontation.
Let’s face it; in a pure strength contest, she wouldn’t stand a chance against the Evil King.
This was all part of the script, which had given the characters very clear roles.
Suddenly, the Evil King unfurled his black feathered wings and charged at the Judger.
While retreating and deflecting blows, the Judger relied on her speedy B skills to keep pace with the Evil King.
Their fighting ground was shifting rapidly.
From the south of the city to the north, west to east—they were leaving a path of destruction that could turn buildings into rubble in an instant!
Why such an exaggerated scene, you ask? Oh, just some special stage effects.
Mo Rabbit was keen on maximizing the theatrical experience, keeping tabs on the entire unfolding drama.
Under normal circumstances, the Group Leader versus Night Star wouldn’t cause such chaos.
If it came down to it, the Group Leader could indeed wipe the floor with everything, but would he really go all out against the audience?
Yeah, right!
It was just a play!
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Ten minutes in, the Judger and Evil King were still going at it, nearing the climax of the performance.
The audience was absolutely thrilled—this was way more exciting than a movie, more thrilling than anything ever! They were glued to their seats, practically in disbelief!
Of course, a little collateral damage to the buildings of Qi Yuan City was the price to pay—a good half of them were now dust.
“What a fierce battle!”
“That little Loli is actually holding her own against that terrifying Evil King? What is this, Loli Battle Goddess?”
“The Judger’s character is designed to have the strength to face the Evil King—basically like a hero fighting a demon lord!”
“Looks like we’re nearing the end! Is the classic finale of the righteous Judger going to go into Berserk mode and take out the Evil King coming up?”
A number of audience members were deep in discussion about the outcome.
Meanwhile, on the battlefield’s edge, Mo Rabbit realized something was happening and jumped back into narration mode: “The Evil King’s minions, held up by the Pigeon Messenger, have returned to his side. It seems the Pigeon Messenger has been defeated! Now the Judger faces three enemies; can the situation be turned around?”
The crowd tensed up!
Just then, the Judger’s allies also finished off the Evil King’s troops and rushed to her side.
Lianhua, Book Yao, and Kong Yu Bai were all there!
Mo Rabbit continued, “The Judger’s allies have come to her aid; she is not alone!”
Oh boy, the end was near—I can hardly wait!
The scene looked almost unchanged from the beginning; the only difference being that all those random extras and the chaotic influx of Star Eclipses had been turned into feathers, drifting toward the Group Leader as a result of his power.
Maybe they were innocent, but hey, they caused a ruckus on stage, ruining the Rising Sun Theater Group’s grand performance!
As for disruptors, the Rising Sun Theater Group has zero tolerance—just one of the creative methods of Star Eclipses.
Back to reality.
Now almost everyone was bracing for what happened next.
Wait, was there going to be another battle?
Just as they thought that, something unexpected happened.
A masked figure next to the Evil King—the Fraudster—swiftly raised his sword and delivered a backstab to the Evil King!
*Thud!*
“You!”
The Evil King, displaying shock worthy of an Oscar, could hardly believe his eyes—he’d never expected this betrayal!
The Fraudster tossed the sword to a nearby Gentleman.
The Gentleman, almost hesitating, followed suit and delivered a stab to the already wounded Evil King.
*Thud!*
With that, the Evil King was in a severely weakened state, barely hanging on!
Now his two loyal minions had turned on him too!
At this scene, Night Star nearly lost it.
Good grief, is this what they call improvisation?
Every plot twist was coming completely out of left field—who could’ve seen the Gentleman’s and Fraudster’s betrayal coming?
Poor Group Leader.
Real talk, the Fraudster was downright dastardly!
He clearly orchestrated the whole backstabbing, even tossing the sword to the Gentleman for a double-cross.
Just that moment of hesitation from the Gentleman showed how conflicted he was.
You see, for someone like him—who puts decorum first—betraying is rather impolite!
The Fraudster, the villain of the hour!
“Here,” the Fraudster said, approaching Night Star and offering her the sword. “I’m conquered by your courage and resolve; I pledge my loyalty to you.”
The Gentleman followed him, looking equally resigned and approached Night Star as well.
“Dear lady, do you accept the idea of redemption? I wish to atone for my actions.”
Mo Rabbit, watching this unfold, was taken aback.
“A backstab ending? Well, that’s unexpected but also somewhat fitting—definitely entertaining!”
Thus, the climax of the stage play ended with:
The invincible Evil King felled by a double betrayal of his own lackeys, the Judger conquered the Evil King’s right and left arms, and they ultimately turned to the light. With his defeat, the oppression brought by the Evil King vanished along with him.
As for this resolution?
Many audience members were satisfied, though some were left grumbling.
You can’t please everyone, after all—an age-old dilemma!
But in a sense, the grand performance had certainly left an impression on them, ensuring they wouldn’t forget the Rising Sun Theater Group anytime soon.
As the curtain fell on the stage play.
Kong Yu Bai took Night Star’s hand and smiled softly.
“Ready? It’s our time to sing.”
“Uh-huh, ready!”
Feeling the gaze of every citizen in the city, Night Star and Kong Yu Bai opened their mouths in unison. An exquisite tune of the Forgotten Sound resonated, echoing through every corner of the city, wiping away any memory of the previously bizarre events.
In the blink of an eye.
Announcer Mo Rabbit withdrew her powers.
The sky lit up brilliantly, and everyone returned to the unaltered city, as if nothing had changed.
The city apparently destroyed bore no signs of damage, like a fading dream.
Yet, these citizens remembered one thing—that the group called the Rising Sun Theater Group had treated them to an extravaganza.
With the power of the Supernova Star Eclipses, they didn’t dwell on the oddities that had transpired, slipping back into their normal lives.
But it also brought some repercussions.
In the near future, the various entertainment districts of Qi Yuan City began to bloom with Rising Sun Theater Group-related products.
Games, artwork, gourmet food, films, music—they were all getting in on the action.
So, it seems the Rising Sun Theater Group’s journey in Qi Yuan City had come to a close.
