Chapter 42: The Possibility of Schizophrenia
A voice suddenly sounded behind Mo Rabbit.
But Mo Rabbit wasn’t flustered; she simply turned her head to look.
It was a tall woman with long gray hair and white highlights. She was one of the Holy Knights from the Order of Sequence.
Mo Rabbit could sense her formidable presence.
“Big Sister, if I say I’m lost, would you believe me?”
Mo Rabbit gave a sweet smile, looking as innocent as a true little loli.
Language wouldn’t be an issue for her. Her English skills were pretty good; at least, she didn’t have to worry about foreign languages like some little lolis did.
Tifureka narrowed her eyes.
“Since you’re lost, let me take you away from here, can you walk?”
“But don’t you seem to be lying? Are you planning on taking me somewhere?”
“I’m a good person. Do you know the Order of Sequence? That’s us. I’m a Holy Knight.”
“Are Holy Knights powerful?”
“A bit.”
Tifureka slowly approached, not intending to argue with Mo Rabbit. How could she trust this nonsense? A little girl couldn’t sneak into a church unnoticed.
Clearly, this black-haired girl had sneaked in somehow.
“Why don’t you stay right there? I’ll come help you.”
“Heh.”
Mo Rabbit chuckled softly. Behind her, a dark portal appeared instantly. She then leaned backward and disappeared before Tifureka’s eyes.
Seeing this, Tifureka went to the spot where Mo Rabbit had vanished, her expression growing serious.
She felt a faint star eclipse aura. Did that girl bring it with her?
But earlier, she was clearly a Star Holder, not causing a star eclipse.
“What does that suspicious girl want by sneaking into the church?”
Tifureka pondered, reviewing the details in her mind.
“An Asian girl from Huaxia… and a slight star eclipse aura—what’s her connection to star eclipses?”
Unable to figure it out, she decided to report it to her superiors.
Nothing strange happened in this country anymore.
She was used to strange happenings.
Whether these incidents were accidents or star-related incidents, they were just part of her job.
Tifureka turned and walked away.
Scene change.
Rising Sun Theater.
Mo Rabbit strolled around, processing the information she had collected.
The Order of Sequence’s church wasn’t her final destination.
Prior to this, she had visited many fun places using divination information, which were even more interesting than some churches.
Regardless of the nation of Free Country, there were over a hundred smaller celestial factions in Waltonka alone.
Some factions had hundreds of Star Holders while others had only a few, ranging widely in power.
Many of them existed solely for profit and operated like assassination organizations, using their accumulated strength to carry out assignments from big shots.
And these big shots were essentially nurturing these factions, secretly plotting something nefarious.
Considering how much rottenness there had to be, it was remarkable this city hadn’t become the next Gotham.
Thus, the capabilities of the Order of Sequence were evident.
As for the Order of Sequence,
That gray-haired woman Mo Rabbit met earlier was indeed one of the strong members of the affiliated church.
Her strength was comparable to the Sunlight Night Watcher from Huaxia, and she had quite a commanding presence.
Apart from that, Mo Rabbit sensed several powerful auras in the church, truly a hidden pool of talent.
The overall strength was likely comparable to a city’s Night Watcher squad in Huaxia and might even be stronger.
For now, Mo Rabbit didn’t plan on further exploration; she had already been to enough places today.
She needed to report back first.
At that moment, Night Star and Kong Yu Bai returned through the Theater Door.
Upon spotting Mo Rabbit, Night Star quickly rushed up.
“Mo Rabbit! Where did you go today?”
“Just wandering around,” Mo Rabbit replied nonchalantly.
“Why couldn’t I get in touch with you?”
“My device ran out of battery.”
“Liar!”
Mo Rabbit changed the subject.
“So, what did you do today?”
“Well… we went out for a bit, stumbled upon a terrorist attack, saw the stars enforcement agency of Free Country, that Order of Sequence. Then, by coincidence, we ended up in a small celestial organization—they had a protection assignment for Qing Liao. So, I and Kong Yu Bai are going to temporarily join them to protect Qing Liao, giving her a surprise!”
Since Night Star was in Waltonka, her heart was completely focused on preparing for the concert by Qing Liao.
Hearing that, Mo Rabbit fell into thought.
“That Qing Liao Songstress?”
Mo Rabbit had heard about Qing Liao holding a concert in Waltonka during her travels.
The news was widespread among the celestial organizations too.
Sure enough, on the day of Qing Liao’s concert, all sorts of troublemakers would emerge. This had become a common occurrence in Free Country, and every major event brought similar issues.
Mo Rabbit felt it necessary to advise, so this loli wouldn’t get too careless.
“You better be careful. Many people are eyeing this event. On the day of the concert, all kinds of trouble will come up, trying to prevent harm to the people you care about. Be serious about it.”
“Oh yes! I won’t let anything happen to Qing Liao with me around!”
Night Star was confident.
She was already looking forward to tomorrow’s plans.
As time moved on.
The Waltonka region fell into darkness.
Sunset was approaching.
Due to time differences, it was still daytime in Yelan.
Yelan was currently lounging in the Fish Playing House, and her state was worrying.
Eypar floated around her, a little concerned about her condition.
“Gah… Yelan seems completely drained. Isn’t she supposed to be at the Night Watcher base with Bai Yu tonight? Although I’m glad she’s staying with me in the Fish Playing House, is everything alright?”
Abababa
Yelan snapped back to reality, her eyes glowing a deep blue.
“Being so far apart makes it hard to multitask… Who knew that the distance between souls would actually affect them physically? If this keeps up, I think I’ll go insane…”
