### Chapter 45: Going Separate Ways
Existence Interference includes “existence sense” and “diminished presence.”
Night Star could use these functions to find Qing Liao.
By reducing her presence, others wouldn’t easily spot her; then, using existence sense, she could easily locate where Qing Liao lives.
So, it seems like there’s no need to worry about this anymore.
After Night Star and Kong Yu Bai finished breakfast, the Night Hunt was also about to set off.
Mo Xiao is an ordinary human and doesn’t need to go out. All she needs to do is stay here and look after the store.
Claire, Noya, and He Li Xia would head out as well, bringing along the newly arrived Night Star and Kong Yu Bai.
Their mode of transportation? A motorcycle and Star Speedsters.
Noya and He Li Xia hopped on the motorcycle, while Claire drove the Star Speedster with Night Star and Kong Yu Bai.
If the two didn’t show up, a single Star Speedster would suffice.
Throughout the journey, Claire hardly talked much, just chitchatting about random things, clearly not wanting to pry too much into secrets.
Night Star was quite pleased with this distance, as excessive socializing was more of a hassle than anything.
About half an hour later, they finally arrived at their destination.
Claire parked the vehicle in the parking area, while Night Star and Kong Yu Bai walked around observing the surroundings.
The largest building was a huge hotel, unmistakably high-end and opulent.
Claire said, “This is where the Qing Liao Songstress lives, though we don’t know which specific room. Later, all hired entities from the Star organization will gather, and tasks will be assigned. My guess is one entity will patrol a certain area, immediately reporting any abnormalities.”
Just then, Noya arrived on her motorcycle, and He Li Xia, overhearing Claire’s spiel, smiled, saying, “Sounds pretty easy. As long as we don’t have to fight, I’d probably just get wiped. It’s pretty sad but true.”
While it sounded tragic, Night Hunt could only boast Noya as the combatant.
Claire and He Li Xia’s Stars weren’t fit for battling; they were better suited for support work.
And if it did come down to a fight, Noya would be the only one left standing; Claire and He Li Xia would likely just have to run away.
Given that their stars couldn’t even assist in the fighting, Night Star thought about not joining up anymore.
“Eh, let’s go find our friend ourselves. If something actually happens, we’ll protect her.”
“The Night Hunt will then be acknowledged?”
Claire had it all calculated.
It made sense, though.
The Night Hunt needed people like Night Star and Kong Yu Bai to temporarily join in protecting the Qing Liao Songstress.
If anything were to happen, Night Star and Kong Yu Bai would have earned big time, and the Night Hunt could benefit with some extra rewards and fame. Win-win!
“Mmm, understood.”
Night Star didn’t object, considering she found the whole setup pretty decent and hadn’t done anything particularly annoying.
She bid farewell to Claire and the gang and turned to leave with Kong Yu Bai.
He Li Xia watched them leave, mumbling, “Can they really meet the Qing Liao Songstress directly? If so, they must be special friends. I should have asked Night Star for an autograph.”
Noya rarely agreed by nodding, silently echoing He Li Xia’s thoughts. Not everyone can become a world songstress’s friend.
Although she seemed easy-going, getting close to her wasn’t assured.
Only truly powerful beings could become her friends.
At least direct signatures should be sought if possible.
Remember, her autographs can fetch a fortune!
Back in reality…
Claire and the others arrived at the client’s designated location, inside a nearby hall.
It had been booked exclusively.
Mostly Stars were here, at least a hundred or so, with mixed abilities, including some hidden masters.
He Li Xia scanned around, feeling her Star within her becoming restless.
It could almost be said that everyone present was a Star Holder—her Stellar Guidance Compass would’ve spun crazily if it could materialize.
“Say… Is the Order of Sequence here?”
Claire shook his head slightly.
“Nope. The Order of Sequence is assigned specifically as bodyguards, so they’ll be closely interacting with the Qing Liao Songstress. It wouldn’t be surprising to have them protect her close up. They won’t be waiting here for a task like us.”
To put it another way, they were simply preventing incidents from occurring, spotting any criminals early on.
But the Order of Sequence would be responsible for protecting the Songstress from start to finish. Irrespective of other matters, they’d stick right by her side.
He Li Xia suddenly realized something.
“If that’s the case, Night Star and Kong Yu Bai will probably interact with the Order of Sequence. I wonder what kind of conversation they might have.”
Claire shrugged, saying, “We’ll be thankful if they don’t expose our hiding place.”
Meanwhile,
Night Star and Kong Yu Bai were already inside the hotel where Qing Liao resided.
They had reduced their presence to almost zero using Existence Interference, making them undetectable even to ordinary human eyes and Star Holders alike.
Even tech devices failed to pick up on their presence.
It wasn’t just invisibility but a layer of non-existence, making detection practically impossible.
With Existence Interference being an extraordinary skill, they boldly walked in.
“Oh my god, there were so many bodyguards earlier. This place must be rented out by Qing Liao’s backing company!”
Night Star glanced at the black-clad guards, noting some were Star Holders, others just regular folks, making quite the formidable force.
Would anyone suspicious get past this level of security?
But Night Star and Kong Yu Bai strode right in unbothered.
Even such a strict security system fell short against high-tier beings.
One wonders if the Order of Sequence and oddball Star organizations can protect Qing Liao properly.
“Let’s find Qing Liao. Just a bit of sensing should pinpoint her room,” said Kong Yu Bai.
“Okay.”
Night Star nodded, taking Kong Yu Bai’s hand, and they began moving forward.
Simultaneously,
On a floor in the hotel…
Tifureka, Mi Lei You, and Moon Sings approached Qing Liao’s door.
Mi Lei You was the most nervous, fidgeting with her knees and hesitating to enter.
“What if she’s not welcoming us? And if we say something wrong, will she dislike us?”
