### Chapter 53: Shocked Night Lan for an Entire Year
“Eh? Is it morning already?”
Night Lan woke up, looking a bit dazed.
Night Star wasn’t asleep yet.
With one soul occupying two bodies, the time difference and distance made them slightly out of sync, which could lead to a sudden split.
To avoid any surprises, it was best to get Night Star to sleep early.
While Night Lan was pondering this, she suddenly noticed something was off.
Her ghost pillow, the one that belonged to Eypar, was missing!
Not good!
According to that ghost girl’s nature, once she was used as a pillow, she shouldn’t move around at all.
Even until dawn, and even after Night Lan woke up, Eypar would quietly serve as her pillow.
As long as Night Lan didn’t speak, she wouldn’t leave.
But now, Eypar had vanished!
Just as Night Lan’s mind filled with confusion, a familiar voice suddenly rang out nearby.
“Hello, we meet again.”
“Eh?”
It was a male voice, slightly familiar, as if she’d just heard it recently.
Night Lan turned her head and discovered who was speaking.
It was the Dream Narrator, who had somehow barged into her Fish Playing House, sitting next to the Dream Pursuer Yin and watching the freshly awake Night Lan with great interest.
Now Night Lan was completely stunned.
“Dream, dream, dream… Dream Narrator!? How on earth did you end up here!? Am I dreaming right now?” Night Lan quickly hugged her blanket and hid in the corner of the bed, her face a picture of panic.
Anyone would feel terrified seeing a creepy figure invade their home.
The Dream Narrator was a bona fide Supernova Star Eclipse, which was definitely something to be wary of!
“Ha, first answer the last one: yes, you are indeed dreaming. As for the first question, I just happened to pass through this city and sensed your presence, so I came to take a look.”
Night Lan’s body gradually relaxed, her expression still skeptical.
“Really? You wouldn’t pull everyone from the city into a dream, would you?”
If the Dream Narrator did that, Night Lan would be really troubled.
It would mean she’d have to be busy dealing with the star eclipse mess he caused.
And Night Star was already active enough; she couldn’t afford to relax with what was happening overseas.
If she went dual-line on this, it would be a disaster waiting to happen.
When it came to Night Lan’s question, the Dream Narrator gently shook his head.
“I’m not that boring; doing that once a year is sufficient. Most of the time, I just look for an interesting target to observe in their dreams. That satisfies my curiosity, but unfortunately, I can’t fully control your dream. Otherwise, I’d probably stick to you and monitor your dreams for a long time.”
“Oh wow… you’re such a bad person! Doesn’t that weigh on your conscience?” Night Lan immediately adopted a disdainful expression, clearly no longer feeling tense or scared.
Given this situation, it seemed the Dream Narrator was just passing by to say hi and would probably leave soon.
What a relief!
If the Dream Narrator wanted to stir things up in Yun Chang City and increase her workload, she’d need to wish to take care of this guy first.
“Sorry, I’m the Dream Narrator, a Supernova Star Eclipse, and I have no such thing as a conscience.”
“Pfft~”
Night Lan didn’t want to argue with the Dream Narrator.
Even though he had the cute Dream Pursuer Yin by his side, the real deal was still this Dream Narrator.
Night Lan wasn’t good at chatting with someone like him.
Besides, they weren’t exactly friends, and with no one around her, the only bit of confidence she had came from the Wish Princess, leaving her feeling somewhat cowardly inside.
But Night Lan wasn’t sure how to get the Dream Narrator to just leave.
Wait a minute.
Speaking of which, Night Lan could actually milk some information from the Dream Narrator.
Since he had once accompanied the Origin of the Stars, wouldn’t that mean he knows a lot?
If she could get some inside info from him, it would help her deal with any trouble down the road if she crossed paths with those he talked about.
Turning the unknown into the known is quite the accomplishment, don’t you think?
With that thought, Night Lan’s expression turned eager.
But she couldn’t just blurt it out—she had to stick to some polite conversation first.
“Um, um, Dream Narrator, where will you go after leaving this city?” Night Lan asked curiously.
The Dream Narrator answered casually.
“I have no real destination. I might just pass through this city and could end up in the next one, wandering around without a care. I may pass through this country, then potentially move on to another. Every corner of this planet might bear my footprints.”
“Hmm… a wandering Eclipse?”
The Dream Narrator smiled mysteriously.
Gotta say, that gives off a strong sense of déjà vu.
Isn’t that the very definition of wandering?
But Night Lan didn’t dwell on it any further.
What did it matter if the Dream Narrator was roaming around? As long as he didn’t cause chaos that affected her, she was good.
Now she needed to ask the more crucial questions!
“Um, can I ask you something?”
“I’ll answer based on the context.”
“You mentioned that the Origin of the Stars had some followers who got caught up in the chaos and turned into Star Eclipses. Do you know where they are now?”
If she knew their whereabouts, she could steer clear of them and avoid any bizarre encounters with strange Star Eclipses.
Of course, she didn’t vocalize this thought; it remained hidden in her heart.
However, the Dream Narrator smirked.
“Are you looking to avoid them in advance?”
“Shocking! How did you know?”
“This is a dream realm I constructed; your true thoughts can’t be hidden from me—I know everything.”
“That’s cheating! That’s against the rules! No peeking!” Night Lan huffed, clearly annoyed at her thoughts being laid bare.
If her hidden thoughts were exposed, her plans to avoid those Star Eclipses would be thrown into disarray.
Waaah~
Just as Night Lan felt a bit down, the Dream Narrator continued, “But I can tell you the whereabouts of one of them; I saw him while passing through a certain area.”
“Where is it?” Night Lan’s eyes sparkled with interest.
“I remember, it was another country, seems like a place called Free Country; he was active in that area.”
“Ah no!”
Night Lan suddenly froze up.
The Free Country had at least one Supernova Star Eclipse in existence?
And it was one that used to follow the Origin of the Stars?
Now that’s a heavy hitter!
Any Supernova Star Eclipse that managed to survive this long must be quite the handful.
Just like the Dream Narrator himself—she couldn’t think of any way to take him down.
They said waking him from a dream could bring him into the real world, but the tricky part was how to actually make that happen.
The power to wake him rested with the Dream Pursuer Yin.
And there was no way she could betray the Dream Narrator, leaving her in an utterly unsolvable conundrum.
Then the Dream Narrator revealed that Free Country had such a presence?
Just completely shocked Night Lan for an entire year!
