Chapter 62: Exciting Awakening
Night Star never expected that Lulu Lana was actually a fan of the Group Leader, and even more surprising was that she believed the Demon King still existed in this world.
This little loli was weirder than he thought.
Unable to hold back, Night Star asked, “So you really believe I’ve met the Group Leader? What if I’m just pulling your leg?”
“Would Night Star lie to me?”
“Uh… probably not. I hardly ever lie.”
“Then that means everything Night Star says is true, right?”
“Ah~ You can’t say that! I might have mixed in a few fibs!”
“Which part is the lie?”
“Ah, that’s… a secret!”
Night Star didn’t quite know how to navigate this conversation.
Normally, when someone lies, they try to mask it, turning the falsehood into truth to achieve their deceitful ends.
But Night Star just wanted Lulu Lana to doubt a bit more.
Believing everything so quickly was just too speedy for comfort.
Like right now, Lulu Lana surprisingly wanted Night Star to take her to meet the Group Leader. That was just absurd!
To this, Night Star firmly rejected her.
“I definitely can’t take you to meet the Group Leader right now; at least wait until the weekend.”
“Why wait until the weekend?” Lulu Lana asked, confused.
“By then, I’ll message you the address and you can just go.”
After that, Night Star and Lulu Lana exchanged contact information, creating a bridge for easy communication.
Lulu Lana stared at Night Star’s contact on her smart device, feeling something strange.
This was the first time she added someone else’s contact besides family and servants.
Night Star was her friend—how wonderfully bizarre!
Lulu Lana happily tucked her smart device away and asked with a bit of excitement, “So can you prove the Demon King exists?”
“Well, umm, that I can certainly do.”
Night Star nodded.
It was a rare chance to meet a loli who admired the Group Leader; who knows, by the weekend, she might become a loyal audience member!
With that in mind, Night Star couldn’t just ignore her feelings.
Deciding not to take Lulu Lana to meet the Group Leader right now was a well-thought-out move.
At the very least, they should meet after she’s seen the Group Leader’s performance.
If Lulu Lana idolized someone other than the Group Leader’s acting, it wouldn’t be welcoming for the Group Leader, considering she wasn’t quite an audience member yet.
Only after Lulu Lana watched a show from Rising Sun Theater would her impression of the Group Leader shift from “Demon King” to perhaps “Magician” or “Actor.”
Meeting as audience members would be the best scenario.
Night Star wouldn’t casually bring anyone into the theater; she cared about the feelings of the group members.
But forgetting those thoughts for now, she needed to think of a way to prove the Group Leader’s existence.
After a moment of reflection, inspiration sparked.
“Lulu Lana, wait here; I’ll be right back.”
With that, Night Star stood up and walked over to the wall. With a flick of her small hand, she opened a pitch-black door—the door to Rising Sun Theater.
“Wow…”
Lulu Lana was stunned, unable to comprehend the scene unfolding before her.
Was this what Night Star called supernatural powers?
How incredible!
Then without another word, Night Star returned to the theater, leaving Lulu Lana without explanation.
She wasn’t worried about Lulu Lana following her back into the theater; given her background, she wouldn’t be able to enter.
The theater’s rule was that only group members and approved audience members could enter.
As to the former, no need for explanation; the latter needed the recognition of any group member to be labeled as an audience member.
At present, Lulu Lana hadn’t received any approval from group members, so there was no way she’d get in.
Back in the theater, Night Star called out softly.
“Group Leader~ could you step out for a moment?”
As soon as she spoke, the Group Leader emerged from a nearby shadow, looking calmly at Night Star.
“Is there something you need help with? Audience Performer.”
“Could you give me a feather? You know, the one you use in your performances.”
“Of course.”
The Group Leader nodded, and a black feather appeared in his hand, floating right in front of Night Star.
“Hey!”
Night Star jumped up to catch it with a smile, thanking him, “Thank you, Group Leader! You might soon gain a loyal audience member; stay tuned~”
“Oh? Is that so? Since the Audience Performer says so, I’ll eagerly anticipate it.”
“Yup~”
Waving goodbye, Night Star left the theater, reappearing in Lulu Lana’s room.
Seeing Night Star return, Lulu Lana immediately stood up and walked over.
“Night Star, where does this door lead? Could it be the Demon King resides in there?”
“Well~ let’s not dwell on that; look, this is proof that the Demon King exists.”
Night Star pulled out the black feather she received from the Group Leader.
Lulu Lana’s eyes were instantly drawn in.
“Is this the Demon King’s wing?”
She curiously inspected the feather, noting its uniqueness.
The feather seemed real, exuding a different aura. Just by looking at it, one could sense its special nature. It was hard to imagine that this feather had become a nightmare for many in ancient times.
Legend had it that if this feather touched someone, they would become the Demon King’s minions, spiraling into madness and losing themselves. Was that really how it worked?
“Night Star, can I touch it?”
“Uh-huh, go ahead.”
Night Star nodded in agreement.
Though the feather carried the aura of the Group Leader’s Star Eclipses, it wouldn’t cause any contamination.
Using her Existence Interference powers, Night Star concealed any discomfort the feather might cause—just touching it would definitely be fine.
Night Star placed the feather gently in Lulu Lana’s palm.
“Oh…”
Lulu Lana carefully accepted it, feeling the sensation it provided to her hand.
Light as a feather.
A bit chilling.
For some reason, she felt a flutter of anxiety and nervousness.
The pressure it emitted was palpable.
This was definitely no ordinary feather.
Night Star was not fooling her.
Lulu Lana was increasingly convinced this feather came from the Demon King!
“Wow, amazing…”
Her wine-red eyes brightened slowly, her heart filled with shock and satisfaction.
At that moment, it felt like something inside her was stirring, responding to the feather.
In the next second, the feather in Lulu Lana’s hand seemed to meet some celestial adversary, instantly dissolving into a cloud of black mist, disappearing into the air.
“It’s gone?”
Night Star stared at this scene, puzzled and surprised.
Had she just sensed a hint of stellar fluctuation? Was it just her imagination?
No, it was definitely not an illusion.
It must be Lulu Lana’s stellar power. Perhaps touching the feather, which contained the aura of Star Eclipses, stimulated her dormant power, causing her to awaken just like that.
Stellar energy and Star Eclipses were of the same origin; this kind of stimulation made total sense.
Given that Lulu Lana’s stars had awakened, she had officially stepped into this tangled, dark world.
