Chapter 64: Happiness Together is Key
Time slowly trickled by.
It was now twilight.
Night Star and Book Yao had spent the afternoon in the library, preparing to head back to the theater.
But first, they needed some dinner.
Eating enough was a must for Night Star, but Book Yao wasn’t a fan of stuffing her face every day.
Book Yao could survive on just a few meals here and there, but enjoying life with some food was still essential.

“Not happening! Since we’re already decided to have a fancy meal, no backing out. Plus, I also want to eat some good stuff. Don’t you want to keep me company?”
Night Star resorted to her trump card, acting all cute and playful.
After some hesitation, Book Yao nodded lightly.
“Alright, let’s go.”
“Hehe~ I knew you’d stick with me.”
The two then left the library and headed back to Chinatown.
They randomly picked a restaurant and ordered a deluxe double set.
While waiting for their meal, Night Star suddenly spotted a familiar pair across the room.
A silver-curled girl and a long-haired white-haired boy were sitting at a nearby table, seemingly awaiting their food too.
But the problem wasn’t that—they recognized them!
They were the members of the Order of Sequence whom Night Star met on her very first day in Waltonka!
Night Star vaguely remembered the name of the silver-curled girl—Silvia. The white-haired boy might be White Princess Kanata.
Meeting them in a Chinese restaurant in Chinatown was truly serendipitous.
“This is too coincidental.”
Instead of staring too obviously, Night Star kept calm to avoid drawing attention.
Being Star Holders, they surely sensed any unusual gazes. Better pretend they’re not acquainted.
Meanwhile, Night Star discreetly listened in on their conversation; she could still catch bits from where she sat.
“Aah, as expected, the food here really appeals to me! Chinese cuisine is pretty decent.”
“Yeah, I’m already smitten. Next time we’re out, I should totally come to this street for some grub.”
“Sounds great! Why not pack some for Tifureka and the others?”
“Didn’t they mention being on duty?”
“Tifureka and the rest are probably still sticking close to that person. There’s no telling when they’ll come back.”
“Pity.” Silvia sighed.
Then, she paused. “I heard something happened at the stage. So those criminals were planning to make a move on that person?”
White Princess Kanata nodded, his expression serious.
“That person catches everyone’s eye when outside. It’s no surprise someone would target them. But Tifureka and the gang will handle things.”
“If I find out where the criminals are hiding, I swear on my knightly honor to wipe them out…”
Unfortunately, criminals today are quite stealthy. Silvia’s overflowing sense of justice is currently useless.
Little did these two know, a Little Loli nearby overheard their entire chat.
Although Silvia and White Princess Kanata omitted crucial details, Night Star gathered enough intel from their words.
Their ‘person’ must be Qing Liao, and Tifureka is one of the three Order of Sequence members protecting him.
The crucial bit? Qing Liao got attacked on stage today again!
Thankfully, it seems the Order of Sequence members intercepted the villains in time.
Qing Liao should be alright.
Even so, Night Star wished Qing Liao would follow Kong Yu Bai’s example and settle somewhere safer sooner.

Silvia and White didn’t share anything more critical, all mundane chatter afterwards.
Night Star focused back on Book Yao, who noticed him staring.
“Is something wrong?”

Flattery didn’t affect her much, but Night Star’s praise uplifted her mood.
Isn’t that hypocritical?

Seeing Book Yao’s joy in compliments, Night Star continued, “How about we often hang out, read books, and eat fancy meals together?”
Main point: spending time with Book Yao made everything better.
“We could,” Book Yao agreed.

Their elaborate dinner finally arrived.
They savored the meal, feeling thoroughly content.
Back at the theater, Empty Rain White approached with a smile.
“Was your day fun?”
“Oh yeah, fantastic,” Night Star happily replied.
Book Yao nodded nonchalantly at Empty Rain White.
“Your turn next.”
“So tonight’s performance is all mine.”
Empty Rain White held Night Star’s hand gently. “Let’s go find Qing Liao.”
“Yes, yes.”
Night Star and Empty Rain White were heading off the theater again.
Qing Liao had likely returned to the hotel from the stage post-performance.
They’d talked that morning about meeting once Qing Liao settled into the stage area. Perfect timing now.
To cover bases in case of Order meetings, Night Star checked in via message. Once confirmed, they proceeded toward the hotel.
In another moment, Night Star and Empty Rain White were in Qing Liao’s room.
Qing Liao seemed freshly showered, hair damp, relaxing on the sofa, waiting for them.
With a flick, the duo canceled their ‘Existence Interference’ illusion, appearing before Qing Liao directly.
