### Chapter 79: Dress-Up Experience
Waltonka.
Rising Sun Theater.
A silver-haired loli is snoozing soundly in a room, sweetly nestled on the bed.
In her deep sleep, some imprint within her soul allowed her to slip into a dream.
When Night Star woke up, she found herself in a bizarre dream-like environment, seemingly straight out of a fairy tale.
“Ugh? Am I dreaming?”
After realizing she was indeed in a dream, Night Star quickly understood what was happening.
The imprint left by the Dream Narrator had put her into a lucid dream!
But after waiting for a while, she realized nothing extraordinary was happening—apparently, the Dream Narrator wasn’t trying to find her.
“It seems like some glitch with the imprint’s power.”
Seeing it as a misunderstanding, Night Star simply lay back down again, unsure if she should even bother dreaming anything worthwhile.
In theory, the dreams crafted by the Dream Narrator’s power were supposed to be all-encompassing. Whatever desires one had could conceivably come true—be it foodie fantasies, gaming sessions, or, uhm, other indulgences.
But at that moment, Night Star just didn’t feel like dreaming.
“Hold up, I think the imprint might have some other effects.”
Nodding to herself, she immediately took action.
With a mere thought, a loli appeared before her eyes, none other than Dream Pursuer Yin!
Upon seeing this loli holding a flute, Night Star’s eyes sparkled.
“Oh! So I can summon someone? Talk about a sweet deal.”
Dream Pursuer Yin looked at Night Star and instantly fell into deep thought.
“What brings you here? The Dream Narrator said you need to meet all my demands.”
“Come give me a hug!”
“Ahh…”
Dream Pursuer Yin parted her lips as if to speak but then closed them again, quietly snuggling into Night Star’s embrace.
What else could she say? She was just a toy character in the dream anyway.
“Hehe~”
Night Star affectionately rubbed Dream Pursuer Yin’s hair, noting how similar the feeling was to petting a little loli.
So soft, so soothing—she couldn’t help but enjoy the sensation.
But seriously, in a dream, you can do whatever you want without any moral or legal constraints. She started pondering whether it was time to misbehave.
She quickly made a decision.
“Hey Dream Pursuer Yin, do you mind if I dress you up in different outfits?”
“Whatever you want.”
Dream Pursuer Yin looked like an obedient flower, clearly lacking in agency.
Since the Dream Narrator had given Night Star control over her, she had to follow Night Star’s commands, at least for now.
However, something felt off.
Compared to being with her creator, Dream Pursuer Yin found interacting with Night Star more thrilling. Night Star was so much more hands-on; this closeness was mesmerizing to her—it was something her creator could never provide.
Even if the Dream Narrator offered her a choice, she’d still opt for this.
You know, that whole “choice” thing was just a formality.
“Yeah! Great!”
With Dream Pursuer Yin’s agreement, Night Star set right to work.
For example, imagining a cat-girl, Dream Pursuer Yin was instantly transformed into a cat-girl outfit!
“Loli-cat girl! Snuggle, snuggle~”
Then came the maid outfit.
“Loli-maid girl! Rub, rub~”
Next was swimwear.
“Wow, risqué! Let me take a look! Is your figure developing correctly?”
Dream Pursuer Yin allowed Night Star to dress her up without resistance throughout.
Once Night Star was satisfied, Dream Pursuer Yin could finally rest.
“Phew~ Done enough.”
Having satisfied her whims in the dream, Night Star entered a brief state of post-dream enlightenment.
Now she had other things to think about and no longer wanted to linger in the dream.
“Dream Pursuer Yin, help me wake up from this dream.”
“Alright.”
Dream Pursuer Yin obediently placed the flute to her lips and blew a melodious tune into the night air, causing the dream to crumble immediately.
When Night Star opened her eyes, she found herself in a bed within the theater.
It was still quite early, somewhere between 1 AM and 3 AM.
Deciding to get up, she headed inside the theater.
The place hadn’t changed much from its usual dreary ambiance, silent and eerie as ever. It felt like a haunted house.
Night Star was used to this atmosphere and started wandering around.
Before long, she stopped abruptly, frozen in place.
“Uh… Did I forget something?”
Scratching her head, she couldn’t think of anything specific.
“To hell with it, I’m part of the Rising Sun Theater Group’s audience performer. That’s enough for now.”
Feeling lighter, Night Star started strolling along the edges of the theater, enjoying the peace of mind.
Sometimes, carrying too much can weigh you down. Once you let go, you feel much freer.
That’s exactly where Night Star found herself.
At this moment, Mo Rabbit returned from her nightly escapades and spotted Night Star frolicking in the theater. Surprised and curious, she muttered to herself.
“Odd… Isn’t she supposed to be asleep?”
Given her understanding of Night Star, who usually slept through anything, this seemed out of character.
Mo Rabbit had previously proven that Night Star could sleep through even the loudest disturbances.
For instance, when Mo Rabbit felt like taking revenge on Night Star by pinching her cheek to vent her frustration—well, it was nearly impossible because Night Star slept like a hog.
Her sleeping quality was downright enviable.
Yet tonight, instead of snoring away like she did every other night, Night Star was awake.
This was indeed a rare occurrence.
Just as Mo Rabbit pondered what could have woken her, Night Star saw her too.
“Mo Rabbit! Let’s go on an adventure together!”
“No way, I just got back. I’m tired and going to bed.”
“Quit daydreaming and let’s go!”
Clearly full of energy and unwilling to sleep, Night Star’s antics convinced Mo Rabbit that escape was futile.
“Alright, I’ll tag along, but where are we going?”
“Anyplace fun.”
“…”
Mo Rabbit paused, unsure how to respond.
What was the difference between this and saying ‘anywhere’?
Sighing deeply, she figured what the heck.
“Fine, I’ll take you around. This city has some underground scenes that might pique your interest.”
The plan was still hazy—is it for exploration or chaos?
Mo Rabbit figured mischief sounded more interesting.
Night Star also found this intriguing.
“Alright, let’s go! I’m all set!”
They left the theater, both forgetting momentarily about the mundane matter of managing Night Lan’s body.
Right now, neither of them had noticed anything odd about their two bodies.
In that moment, Night Star and Night Lan had fully transformed into separate entities.
Neither of them considered it strange.
The identities of Night Watcher and Audience Performer had effortlessly split from a single individual.
