### Chapter 88: Back in Action
Mom brought Lulu Lana back to her room.
“Mom? Is something wrong?”
Lulu Lana’s nerves were on edge.
Her mom looked super serious and scary, as if she was about to get grilled like a steak.
She felt like she was about to be interrogated.
The blonde woman also gathered her thoughts and asked, “Lulu Lana, what’s going on with the mental power inside you?”
“I don’t know…”
“Back when you awakened a few days ago, it was so weak, but now it has grown so much in such a short time. This is really strange.”
Lulu Lana muttered in her mind. Indeed, it was really odd.
It wasn’t normal growth, but rather the result of cheating the system.
And there was no way Lulu Lana would spill the beans about Night Star and Hilo; otherwise, she’d be grounded!
She quickly put on a puzzled look and played dumb, completely tricking her mother.
Like a rebellious teenager, deceiving the family felt like second nature to her.
She was turning into a troublemaker!
The blonde woman also fell into deep thought and made up her mind.
“Tomorrow, you’re coming with me to the research institute. Your body needs a full check-up,” she said firmly.
“Oh…”
Lulu Lana was unsure whether to be happy or disappointed.
Because whenever she used to pout and beg to go to her mom’s workplace, her mom never caved, leaving Lulu Lana always curious about where her mom worked.
Now, through sheer luck, she could see it for herself. What irony!
But there was a major bummer: Lulu Lana really wanted to visit Night Star’s Rising Sun Theater. Now, that had to wait.
She was experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions.
—
Time passed slowly.
Days went by.
The Rising Sun Theater Group remained calm.
Waltonka’s underworld was stirring again, at least less stagnant than before.
They probably caught some gossip about the situation with the Rising Sun Theater Group, currently in an exploratory phase.
After Qin Liao Songstress’s concert ended, she too was set to leave Waltonka.
Apparently, her company announced she would take a break for a while, stopping all activities until next month.
This news sparked endless debates online, with many speculating about why she was taking a break.
Little did they know, this was just a whim of hers.
Today, her company would announce that Qin Liao Songstress will be leaving Waltonka, though her destination remains unknown.
Everything will be arranged by her company; all she needs to do is cooperate.
Even the Order of Sequence didn’t know about this. Qin Liao convinced the higher-ups behind the scenes, making her exit unanimous.
Now, Qin Liao’s waiting for the false information to come out in the open.
Next door, in the Order of Sequence, the trio was feeling the same.
“The Qin Liao Songstress is leaving Waltonka today. I’m going to miss her so much,” Mi Leyou lamented, lying dejectedly on the bed.
Though they only spent a brief time together, Mi Leyou had already fallen for Qin Liao. She even had thoughts of leaving the Order to follow Qin Liao. What a revelation!
Her allure nearly made Mi Leyou defect from the Order.
This is faith versus faith!
Although Yue Yong wasn’t as dramatic as Mi Leyou, she still felt a pang of sadness.
Anyone who met Qin Liao and heard her sing couldn’t help but feel moved, let alone Yue Yong, who is already quite the femme fatale.
But Qin Liao is a figure too sacred to touch. Even if Yue Yong had the hots for her, she’d just have to satisfy her desires with fantasies.
Tifureka, however, didn’t share the same heartache.
Qin Liao’s departure didn’t bother her much.
“Did you notice how the order’s getting chaotic again?”
Why say “again”? Because initially, the Rising Sun Theater Group temporarily subdued the chaos, bringing about a temporary peace.
This eased the Order’s workload by a significant amount.
But soon, this brief tranquility shattered, and chaos returned with a heightened intensity.
Tifureka had been keeping an eye on the recent events.
“A bunch of problematic folks have appeared recently. Even criminals are giving the Holy Knights a tough time. This doesn’t make sense,” she muttered.
Indeed, the crime syndicates seemed stronger than ever, putting even the Order under strain.
Someone must be pulling strings behind the scenes, making things abnormally bizarre.
There was no choice but to investigate slowly.
Yue Yong then chimed in, “By the way, what did the Order do with the Rising Sun Theater Group?”
“They just let them be. They should leave on their own,” she replied.
“Really that simple?”
Yue Yong was surprised. She had imagined a big showdown.
Turns out, just walking away was enough.
At least she preferred facing off with gangs rather than the terrifying monster-infested theater.
Of course, just because the Order avoided the Rising Sun Theater Group didn’t mean others couldn’t approach them.
The Free Country wasn’t the only player around. Many independent Star Holders had other ideas.
The Order couldn’t stop them. The best they could hope for was that those actions wouldn’t drag in innocent civilians.
Back to the main story.
As news spread of Qin Liao Songstress’s departure from Waltonka, the Order’s job ended.
All citizens of Waltonka bid her farewell, though they were unaware she was still in the city.
In a hotel room, Night Star appeared next to Qin Liao.
“Everything ready?”
“Yeah, we’re all set!”
“Then let’s go!”
For now, nothing could hold Qin Liao down.
She could party with Night Star freely until this vacation ended.
—
Elsewhere in a secret facility, a blonde woman was examining her daughter, trying to find the cause of her sudden surge in mental power.
Days passed, yet the blonde woman remained baffled, as if it had happened naturally.
Seeing her mother’s worried face, Lulu Lana tried to soothe her.
“Don’t worry! Look, everything’s fine with me, right? Plus, having more mental power isn’t bad. It means I’m getting stronger!”
“Okay.”
The blonde woman smiled and stroked Lulu Lana’s head, still concerned.
A sudden surge in mental power could signal something weird happening.
Many Star Holders lose control over their powers because of this kind of unpredictability.
And Lulu Lana, who had just awakened her Star ability, possessed immense mental power…
That gave everyone plenty of reasons to be worried.
