Chapter 107: Trouble Arrives
Waltonka.
Inside the Rising Sun Theater.
Night Star had on the troupe’s costume, and was made up beautifully by the makeup artist.
Once all the troupe members were ready, they could set off.
Mo Rabbit, wearing a cute dress and with light makeup on her face, looked somewhat indifferent.
Even though she was forced to dress like this every time, she was almost used to it.
Since there’s no changing it and no point in fighting against it, why not just accept it with a calm heart?
Just get used to it.
It’s also what Night Star needs.
Habits can change common sense and slowly alter personality.
If Mo Rabbit got used to this appearance, it would represent a huge step back for femininity!
Maybe now she’s adapted to this look, and if anything goes back to how she was before, it might feel a bit odd.
“Mo Rabbit is so cute~”
“Yeah yeah yeah.”
Mo Rabbit turned her gaze away, not wanting to waste words with Night Star.
She was thinking about the upcoming grand performance.
Stage setups and everything were thought through days ago.
The performance didn’t need a big stage; just a noticeable spot would do.
And Mo Rabbit was responsible for setting up that stage.
To make sure everyone in the city could hear and see, her Cavern needed to cover Waltonka, fragmenting regions so that people could see the stage.
Although the workload was much less than last time, it was still going to be tiring.
Transforming herself into a Star Eclipses briefly was unavoidable to avoid strain.
Being a Star Eclipses wasn’t a comfortable experience, and staying as one too long definitely would make you lose your humanity.
As Mo Rabbit pondered, the other troupe members had already finished their makeup.
Night Star raised an excited hand towards the Theater Door.
“Let’s go!”
On hearing this, Mo Rabbit put her thoughts aside and followed the group.
At the same time,
Three figures quietly descended upon Waltonka.
“Is it in this city?” said the mysterious figure.
“Yes, unless we’re terribly wrong, they shouldn’t have left yet.” The Uncrowned Wanderer gazed in some direction, seemingly sensing something.
“Follow the plan,” Hilo said as usual, barely a word.
…
Switching perspectives.
Night Star led the Rising Sun Troupe to the city center.
They didn’t immediately show themselves but passed through the crowd using Existence Interference, reaching the best possible position—perhaps atop a tall tower in the center.
They were already here without anyone noticing.
“Mmm, here will do. Let’s prepare for today’s grand performance.”
Mo Rabbit stepped forward, her aura completely transformed compared to before.
She was now an incarnation of the Star Eclipses [Hetu Luoshu], a pseudo-Star Eclipses.
Even then, she could unleash strength far beyond human capacity.
However, right when she prepared to spread out Star Eclipses power, instinct told her something was coming.
“Hold on.”
Mo Rabbit squinted, sensing some danger.
At that moment, the sky suddenly changed.
A bright day turned dark as if filled with clouds.
Foreboding atmosphere filled the air, making it overwhelmingly tense.
Seeing this, Night Star looked at Mo Rabbit with confusion.
“Something’s wrong with the stage effects.”
“No, it wasn’t me,” Mo Rabbit’s expression immediately turned serious.
Her instinct hadn’t failed her—something unexpected had happened!
Who could it be?
While Mo Rabbit played confused, a voice suddenly chimed in.
“So, you’re here. Wow, so many people. Are you planning something?”
A black-haired man with half a mask appeared nearby at some point, his presence ominous.
Night Star’s eyes widened upon seeing him.
“Uncrowned Wanderer?”
“Hello again,” the Uncrowned Wanderer greeted casually.
Before Night Star could ask for his purpose, another voice arrived.
“Here’s a gathering of kin? Have they learned to stick together? What a surprise.”
A new figure emerged within Night Star’s sight—a completely unfamiliar one.
This was a woman with brown hair and exquisite features. Her demeanor was free-spirited, almost inscrutable.
Night Star became puzzled again.
Who is this woman?
Then she quickly realized something and her eyes widened.
Could this be the first-generation Star Eclipses?
Meaning, another Supernova!?
If that’s true, it’s really surprising.
Why are Supernovas getting more common, like ordinary vegetables?
And encountering so many of them at once, it’s scary!
After dreaming, Night Star decides to ask the Dream Narrator about this strange Star Eclipses.
Now, the questions:
What are these two first-generation Star Eclipses doing here?
And, where’s Hilo, who the Uncrowned Wanderer took away?
Just as Night Star’s mind swirled with questions, the Uncrowned Wanderer spoke again.
“In fact, we’re here for only one thing.”
“What is that? Can’t it wait? Because we’ve got a show to put on and may not have the time.”
Night Star wasn’t too wary of the first-generation Star Eclipses.
After all, the Dream Narrator she knew was also a first-generation Star Eclipses, not entirely bad, and could mostly get along well.
From what she heard, Hilo was friendly toward humans, and the Uncrowned Wanderer did good deeds, like helping old ladies cross the street.
So, maybe the others weren’t too different either; as long as they weren’t enemies, a little interaction wouldn’t hurt.
The Uncrowned Wanderer replied to Night Star.
“Sorry, we need to do this right away. As for your matters, can it wait?”
Night Star mulled it over.
“Hmm… This seems tricky. Tell me first, what exactly do you want?”
“It’s simple, we want the star within you. How about it?”
Night Star froze, barely reacting initially, but then instinctively rejected it.
“No way.”
“Fine, then let’s end this conversation amicably.”
The Uncrowned Wanderer burst into a strong aura, with terrifying Star Eclipses power spreading out, causing the troupe members to pale visibly.
The Uncrowned Wanderer’s lips curled into a mysterious smile.
“We don’t need bystanders.”
The next second, everyone around Night Star vanished, leaving her alone.
“Ah? Where did everyone go!?”
Night Star looked around anxiously, realizing that those giving her security were gone.
The Uncrowned Wanderer maintained his smile.
“I’ve sent them very far away, temporarily unreachable. So, now we can talk properly.”
“Hmm…”
Night Star swallowed hard, beads of sweat forming on her forehead, her heart racing.
Looking at the two supernovae Star Eclipses, she realized real trouble had arrived.
