# Chapter 1: Pinghaishi
The moment Night Star Lan confirmed she had returned to Huaxia, she didn’t even check which city she was in before spinning around back to the theater. She then entered through the Theater Door to her Fish Playing House.
Switch perspectives.
Night Star and Night Lan returned to their dim little room, which was devoid of any lights.
But as soon as the master returned, everything in the room seemed to come alive.
Night Lan walked over and flicked on the light, flooding the room with brightness.
However, before they could say anything, a translucent figure shot towards them like a cannonball, grabbing Night Star’s head in a tight hug.
The transparent figure was, of course, Eypar.
If it weren’t for the fact that this ghost had no weight, Night Star would probably have been launched out of the room!
“Night Lan! Night Star! You’re finally back! I waited at home for ages! I thought I’d run out of Night Lan energy in me!”
“Mah~ Mah~”
Night Star sheepishly pried Eypar off her head, a tinge of guilt on her face.
Night Lan hadn’t mentioned heading to Waltonka to Eypar, almost spending the entire day there!
It wasn’t like Eypar could be away from Night Star and Night Lan for too long, either.
If they didn’t come back soon, Eypar might have just… well, sent her off to the great beyond.
But no worries! Now Night Star Lan’s mental strength was up to a B!
Even if Eypar had a bit of a ghostly farewell, they’d probably be able to bring her back in a flash!
Thinking that, Night Star affectionately ruffled Eypar’s little fluffy hair.
“No need to worry! Night Lan just went to fetch Night Star. Nothing mysterious or ghostly going on here!”
“Hmm~ Eypar knows exactly who’s being held right now—it’s Night Star!”
Eypar tossed all previous annoyances aside and began affectionately nuzzling Night Star, her fluff bouncing around like a little dog welcoming its owner home.
Sure, maybe that description was a tad odd, but who’s judging?
Moments later…
Eypar finally replenished Night Star’s energy, letting go and drifting about the room in a carefree manner.
Now that Night Star and Night Lan were back, she began wondering what mischievous prank to pull on the adorable duo. Time to indulge her inner joy!
Meanwhile, Night Lan had no intention of lolling around in the Fish Playing House. Nope! Instead, she was heading towards the Night Watcher Base.
As for Night Star? She would probably hang out in the Fish Playing House or return to the Rising Sun Theater to chat with her companions.
No more stressing over time zones or distances! Multitasking was as easy as breathing for her now—finally no risk of mental chaos!
With that in mind, Night Lan trotted through the Theater Door toward the Night Watcher Base.
While Night Star accompanied Eypar, who hadn’t visited the theater for a while, towards the Rising Sun Theater.
Dual operation mode activated!
In the blink of an eye…
Night Lan found herself in Zero Meow’s cozy lounge.
Predictably, the lights were still on, meaning the lounge’s owner was not asleep.
Turning to look, she spotted a silver-haired girl in cute pajamas sitting on the bed, seemingly lost in her painting.
Turns out, Zero Meow wasn’t catching Zs early—though it was getting late.
“Hmmm, meow?”
The silver-haired figure noticed another presence in the room and looked up to find a certain black-haired loli.
“Night Lan, when did you return?”
“Hmm, not too long ago!”
Night Lan casually trotted over, dropped her slippers, and plopped down next to Zero Meow to peek at the drawing board resting on her lap.
The artwork, of course, was a saucy picture!
A bit over the top, sure, but Night Lan absolutely loved it!
More of these, please!
At that moment, Zero Meow finally realized: Night Lan had appeared in the lounge without making a sound.
This brought her to think about the Theater Door.
“Wait, could it be that the Rising Sun Theater Group has already…?”
“Bingo! They’re back in Huaxia now!” Night Lan smiled, looking entirely pleased.
Zero Meow’s expression was a mixture of surprise and delight.
“No way! It’s almost like you predicted this, meow! I thought they’d stick around in Free Country for a bit longer!”
“Nope! I said they’d definitely come back. If they stayed in Free Country any longer, I’d never be able to hang out with the Audience Performer crowd!”
“True enough, meow! I need to build good relations with the Audience Performer and aim to be her bestie!”
If she could manage that, Zero Meow could unmask the mysterious aura surrounding the Audience Performer and then get cozy with some cheeky antics!
Hehe~
“Hmmm.”
Seeing Zero Meow’s adorably drooling expression, Night Lan could only stifle a laugh.
Definitely best to keep her other identity a secret for now.
Better to let her maintain that sense of anticipation.
With that, Night Lan scanned the lounge again but didn’t see any other little lolis around.
“By the way, where are White Fish and the others?”
“They went to sleep ages ago, meow. You think it’s still early?” Zero Meow huffed.
“Then why aren’t you asleep yet?”
“I’m a grown-up, a mature senior! I can’t just keep a regular schedule like those little lolis!”
Zero Meow puffed out her chest, hands on her hips, looking all kinds of proud.
Saying she was mature, yet she was just a teenage loli herself. A little juvenile if you asked Night Lan.
At that moment, Night Lan felt an overwhelming urge to shout: Don’t underestimate an adult’s sleep schedule!
Adults often miss out on normal sleep because of their busy lives—burning the midnight oil is the name of the game, alright!?
Mature adults dream of a solid eight-hour sleep every night.
Of course, Zero Meow, being a Star Holder, had physical qualities and spirits far beyond the average person, so she didn’t have to fret about late nights affecting her health.
She could go a day without sleep, and it wouldn’t even faze her.
That’s when Zero Meow started asking questions about the Rising Sun Theater Group, hoping to get the scoop on this Star Eclipse organization.
“Since the Rising Sun Theater Group is back in Huaxia, which city are they in now?”
“Hmm… no idea!” Night Lan admitted.
Because Night Star was still confirming that.
Switching perspectives again!
Night Star had just tossed Eypar after a spat between her and Guqiu, stepping out alone from the theater’s door.
Now she stood atop a skyscraper in some city.
The vibrant neon lights of the night danced brilliantly, while a gentle breeze caressed her skin, creating a cool and nice sensation.
Returning to a city in Huaxia filled Night Star with profound satisfaction.
Her wish had indeed come true!
Looks like the Rising Sun Theater Group wasn’t keen on getting a beatdown.
They were quite sensible, indeed.
Wishing for an intervention smartly ahead of time proved to be a great move after all.
Having discovered this method, it seemed Night Star could potentially decide the theater’s relocation in future events!
How reliable is the all-powerful Wish Machine!
Oh, and it seemed her Wish Princess also granted her three Supernova-level abilities.
Sure, she only got a third of the power, but it was enough for usage!
But now wasn’t the time to ponder over those matters—there was plenty of time to investigate later.
What she really needed to figure out was which city she was currently in.
“Hmm… let’s see.”
Night Star pulled out her smart gadget to activate the location services and check her current whereabouts.
The answer came swiftly.
Here was…
Pinghaishi.
