Chapter 6 The Alliance Crumbles
In the astral plane.
The laughter of the Dream Narrator echoed.
“Hehehe~ I was wondering why that girl’s growth had been so rapid; turns out you all coerced her into growing up. No wonder she didn’t want to talk about you earlier.”
Now the Dream Narrator finally understood why these three colleagues looked like this.
It was clearly because they riled up the girl and made her wish for revenge.
Not only did they rob them of a third of their power, causing Supernovas to fall from grace, but also took away their terrifying ability to control everything.
This was the price they had to pay for coercing the Wish Machine holder to grow.
But thinking about it, it seemed like a pretty light toll.
That girl could have erased these three from existence while in a Star Eclipses state without breaking a sweat, but instead, she let them off easy.
Perhaps it’s because she thought these fellas didn’t mean any harm.
All their actions were geared towards helping her grow.
It was excessive, but maybe not entirely deserving of d*ath.
She likely thinks so too.
The Dream Narrator has observed Night Star Lan’s dreams and even peeked into her thoughts, so he has a decent idea of her nature, personality, and thoughts.
The Uncrowned Wanderer ignored the Dream Narrator’s mockery.
“That’s fine; as long as the Wish Machine holder grows, paying this price is worth it.”
Hilo estimated the value, begrudgingly nodding.
If Night Star Lan hadn’t grown, then the three of them would’ve suffered a significant loss.
But if that kind of power grew, enough to assist the Dream Narrator in achieving his wish, then it would be well worth it.
Simple reasoning.
The Uncrowned Wanderer spoke again.
“Let me reiterate the question from before. Given that you’re here, does it mean the Wish Machine has granted your wish?”
The Dream Narrator nodded gracefully, wearing an elegant smile.
“Naturally. My wish was to be by the Origin of the Stars’ side, so here I am.”
“As expected,” Omicron said with a satisfied cute smile.
“My odds were correct. Now, we can elevate the chance of the orb being the origin to one hundred percent.”
After this confirmation, the four First Generation Star Eclipses fell silent.
Since their creation, finding the missing Origin of the Stars had been their mission, etched deeply in their souls, surpassing even their obsessions.
With the origin’s location confirmed and brought close, it felt like completing their mission.
Though its current state was somewhat off, at least they weren’t searching aimlessly anymore.
The Uncrowned Wanderer looked at the Dream Narrator with a mysterious glimmer in his eyes.
“Will you make another wish to the Wish Machine holder? Considering you’re not in her bad books, you might just get a chance.”
“It’s obvious. With the origin found, there’s no need to continue.”
The Dream Narrator’s point was clear.
Once he knew where the Origin was, his mission was completed.
As for its current state or whether it needed help, that was someone else’s problem.
Even if the origin could recover in its orb form, the Dream Narrator wouldn’t take action.
That’s essentially what it boiled down to.
The Uncrowned Wanderer, Hilo, and Omicron remained silent, unsurprised.
They were similar beings after all.
“Alright then.”
The Dream Narrator gracefully waved his hand.
“The Orb of the origin will remain here. I doubt any fool would dare invade the Undis crowned Wanderer’s territory, so I’ll take my leave.”
In the next moment, the Dream Narrator vanished.
His true self existed in the infinite void of dreams, roaming only in the realm of sleep.
Only the three First Generation Star Eclipses remained.
Omicron was the first to speak.
“With the probability of the origin confirmed, I’ll go find more possibilities. If our obsession isn’t fulfilled, we’d end up disqualified.”
Following that, Omicron’s diminutive figure also left the hetero space.
Hilo didn’t utter a word, simply turning around and leaving without a farewell, likely returning to his business as usual.
And thus it went.
One First Generation Star Eclipse’s dominion reverted to its initial solitude, only the Undiscovered Wanderer sitting on the throne.
He felt it was only natural, though it gave him no emotional fluctuation.
Because they were initially meant to be alone unless some conditions were met.
Their brief unity was only due to the hint they found about the origin; once it became real, there was no point in sticking together.
The Undecrowned Wanderer gazed at the nearby orb with a smile.
“Alright, the origin will stay here with me. Regardless of how it is, I won’t let anyone disturb you now.”
No sooner had the words left his mouth than the Undiscovered Wanderer disappeared.
Where he went depended on his whims.
Thus, the First Generation Star Eclipse alliance crumbled completely, largely thanks to Night Star Lan’s actions.
Unfortunately, she herself was unaware.

The next day.
Night Star Lan woke up from her dream, still in the peculiar dream realm created by the Dream Narrator’s power.
Upon opening her eyes, she first saw him, then Duan Meng Yin Yue sitting beside her.
“Hmm… guess I just slept normally.”
She felt her own state—still a bit powerless and limp.
Sure enough, wishing for the legendary star origin turned out to be quite tough.
Maybe only someone with her level of mental force could casually make wishes.
But right now, Night Star Lan wasn’t chasing after perfection; comfort suited her best.
But given her current state, it probably wouldn’t be possible to make another wish anytime soon.
Probably better to take some time to recover first.
Putting these thoughts aside, she decided it was time to wake up from the dream.
However, before she could tell Duan Meng Yin Yue to blow the waking whistle, the Dream Narrator suddenly appeared.
“Whoa! Scared me!”
Night Star Lan patted her flat chest, followed by a puzzled look.
“Why are you back? Weren’t you meeting the Star Origin?”
Though curious about the Star Origin’s status, she figured it was better not to ask too much.
She didn’t want to get tangled up in weird stuff.
