Chapter 8: Other Clumped Star Eclipses
Night Lan and her crew had no objections to what White Paint said.
They just needed to be good and cause no trouble.
This wasn’t too much to ask from this group of little lolis.
After all, they weren’t particularly rowdy. Their biggest desire was to go play in the sea with their friends. That was enough for them.
Night Lan was very happy inside.
Because her Night Star was in Pinghai City.
If Night Lan were to visit Pinghai City on vacation, then every night Night Star wouldn’t have to come back to the Fish Playing House to cuddle and sleep with Night Lan anymore.
Besides, when the Rising Sun Theater Group performs, Night Lan could watch in person with White Fish and others, how great is that?
She just didn’t know how long she could stay there.
Hopefully, she could stay longer and the Grand Performance would be even better.
The accommodation would probably be at the Night Watcher Base in Pinghai City.
But there were two Night Watcher bases: one on land and one at sea. They still didn’t know which one was better.
If she really had to choose, Night Lan felt that the sea city was more fresh and thus wanted to go there more.
Plus, new encounters.
It would be wonderful if there were also lovely little lolis like White Fish at the Pinghai City Night Watcher base.
Night Lan thought so.
“Senior White Paint, are you going with just us?”
“No, I’m bringing my two friends as well. You know them: Cai Xun and Bu Jie. They were given leave as well.”
“It’s them!”
Night Lan’s impression of these two goofy coworkers was quite strong.
Although they were males, they had pretty nice personalities, much like goofy netizens online, without any other bad impressions.
They also really enjoyed listening to her sing. Almost every night, they would wait at specific locations until she finished singing several songs before leaving.
They were pretty cool guys.
Even though they seemed a bit loli-obsessed, it didn’t matter. Because if someone liked lolis, they could be allies of Night Lan’s.
Thus is the loli-obsessed alliance!
Then Night Lan casually asked about accommodations.
White Paint said they could pick either the land or sea base, and they’d figure out the details later.
Night Lan suggested staying at the sea city base, and Zero Meow and others naturally had no objections.
For them, as long as Night Lan was around, things were fine; they unanimously agreed.
White Paint noted this down and said he would explain to the Pinghai City Night Watcher base when the time came, and they could check straight in.
As for when they would leave, the plan was tomorrow, so they could prepare their vacation essentials.
Once tomorrow arrived, Night Lan and company could take a plane to Pinghai City and land directly at the airport.
Everyone was looking forward to it.
In the meantime:
Inside the guest room of the Night Watcher Base.
A few high-ranking leaders were chatting during their break.
With no important guests, the place had turned almost into their private chat room.
Only three people were present: Bai Yuan, Wang Chao, and Xiao Jin.
Mo Tu was once again absent, and nobody found it odd.
“I heard that Mo Tu guy is back, but where is he? Hasn’t shown up? Never seen anyone so laid-back.”
Wang Chao clicked his tongue in amazement.
Even he, known for his laid-back attitude, thought Mo Tu was somewhat over-the-top.
As a Sunlight Night Watcher who was often not at the Night Watcher Base, his conduct was indeed bizarre.
Wang Chao himself wasn’t that relaxed.
If there were special tasks, it wouldn’t be an issue.
But for other times, he was rarely at the base.
In some company, people like him were probably waiting to be fired.
Xiao Jin chuckled helplessly and shook his head.
“Don’t worry about that guy; he will show up when it matters.”
Xiao Jin had long given up trying to control free-spirited and uniquely interested Mo Tu.
Usually, Mo Tu fulfilled the basic duties of a Night Watcher.
But otherwise, he was a difficult freeloader to manage, and this hadn’t changed despite his elite status.
He probably just wandered around in Pinghai City now.
That guy even passed his duty of reporting to the Leader off onto Xiao Jin, really relaxed.
Next, Xiao Jin looked at Bai Yuan and felt relieved.
While Mo Tu often missed being at the base, Bai Yuan was always there.
Bai Yuan, a figure comparable to a Sunlight Night Watcher, could definitely handle day-to-day tasks in his absence.
So during Mo Tu’s absence, it was up to Bai Yuan to take charge of various affairs together with Xiao Jin.
Wang Chao, who was just a brawler, couldn’t be trusted with anything serious.
Great at fighting, but hates thinking.
Then Bai Yuan brought up a topic.
“My daughter says she wants to travel to Pinghai City. I’ve approved her request.”
“White Fish and White Paint? How did they suddenly want to go there?” Wang Chao asked in surprise.
“Probably because they felt like playing by the sea randomly. By the way, Night Lan is with them too, and I agreed.”
Whether the previous or current Bai Yuan, they both could give leave to normal Night Watchers.
This kind of thing was usually not a topic among the top brass. But with some special circumstances, it was brought up.
Because there’s a special person involved – Night Watcher Base’s mascot, Night Lan.
As a holder of Extraordinary Stars, Night Lan deserved special attention.
Knowing this, Wang Chao was even more astonished.
“You actually agreed for little Night Lan to leave Yun Chang City? Aren’t you afraid of something happening to her in another city?”
Bai Yuan shook his head.
“With White Paint, Cai Xun, and Bu Jie watching over her, and after informing them, everything will be fine. Moreover, we can’t confine her. Under permissible conditions, letting her play freely contributes positively to her growth. If she feels uncomfortable if she’s restricted to Yun Chang City, it’s best to let her have fun.”
Hearing this, Wang Chao grimaced but didn’t voice any objections.
Bai Yuan, having raised two daughters, naturally understood little girls’ minds better than Wang Chao, the lone wolf, so everything should be fine.
Then Wang Chao looked at Xiao Jin for his opinion.
“What do you think?”
“Let them go. Just have those colleagues pay attention over there.”
Xiao Jin smiled mysteriously without saying anything.
He had been surprised when Bai Yuan mentioned that Night Lan was going to Pinghai City, but after, he understood.
Going to the beach might just be the main purpose. But the Rising Sun Theater Group was probably another reason.
Xiao Jin had learned the location of the Rising Sun Theater Group from Mo Tu.
But he hadn’t had a chance to tell Bai Yuan and Wang Chao yet and wasn’t planning to spill that.
Better to let them discover it themselves.
They’d find out over the weekend.
For now, he kept it quiet.
Then Bai Yuan shifted gears.
“Speaking of Pinghai City, there seems to be a strange rumor about it, do you guys know?”
After learning that his daughter wanted to visit that city, he had investigated beforehand.
Wang Chao also puzzledly asked, “What kind of rumor?”
“They say there are bundled Star Eclipses there, similar to the Rising Sun Theater Group.”
