Chapter 10: Arrival in Pinghai City
The Next Day.
Night Lan arrived early at the Night Watcher Base and was in Zero Meow’s room.
Several little Lolis were busy packing their luggage, ready with multiple sets of clothes.
It’s not like they’d be returning from Pinghai City so soon. It could take over a week. So, packing more was essential.
Night Lan didn’t bother with this. She didn’t even fake trying to pack.
She figured she’d just go to the Rising Sun Theater whenever she needed something and take it from there. Less is more, baby.
After a while, those little Lolis finally organized their stuff.
White Paint came to Zero Meow’s rest area to notify them that they were about to leave.
“Ready? We’re heading out soon.”
“Mm-hm! We’re ready!”
Everyone nodded enthusiastically with cute looks of anticipation.
They then followed White Paint to the Night Watchers’ airport and prepared to board a plane headed for Pinghai City.
Cai Xun and Bu Jie were here waiting. They greeted Night Lan’s group.
“Good morning, little ones. For the next while, we’ll keep an eye on you all. Remember, listen to what White Paint says.”
Cai Xun looked quite excited about the trip. His joy was almost palpable.
No wonder. Night Watchers rarely get vacation opportunities. Even if they had time off before, they wouldn’t have gone to relax in another city.
Star Eclipses events happen suddenly and require all Night Watchers to be ready at a moment’s notice. When they are on a break, they have to be prepared to be called back any second.
This time, Cai Xun and Bu Jie got a much-deserved vacation because they were in a team with White Paint, and White Yuan conveniently approved their leave.
Bu Jie wore a gleeful smile.
“Ohhhh, seas here I come!”
It seemed these two were thrilled beyond measure.
Of course, what truly excited them was the prospect of seeing plenty of scantily dressed girls at the beach.
Talk about prime pickup material.
At the very least, they thought, getting to know more girls could be fun, and they could build connections upon return. Especially with swimsuit beauties!
That was something to look forward to!
Though White Paint herself was quite the cutie, they knew better than to mess with that.
Night Lan had similar thoughts but wasn’t looking at others. She couldn’t wait to check out Little Loli friends in swimwear.
A few minutes later, everyone boarded the plane. Soon after, it took off towards the edge of the mainland.
In the Rising Sun Theater,
Nightingale was chatting with Lotus Flower and others.
Empty Rain White, Lotus Flower, and Book Yao were here too.
“So that explains why Nightingale’s been so laid-back lately. You wanted to go to the sea with White Fish and company, right?”
Empty Rain White finally understood why Nightingale had been unusually calm.
She used to be the type to drag some theater member around in every new city, whether it was Lotus Flower, Empty Rain White, or Book Yao.
It might’ve even included multiple members.
But since coming to Pinghai City several days ago, Nightingale only went out briefly and returned, which was odd.
White Paint thought it was because Nightingale had returned to Yunchang City and gotten lost in the lovely embrace with Night Lan, thus neglecting Pinghai City.
But actually, Nightingale was swishing her white silk legs, wearing an adorable grin, showing a distinct fondness for the idea.
“When Night Lan and the crew reach Pinghai City, let’s go play, alright?”
This was a dual mission for her.
Nightingale couldn’t just care about White Fish and company; she also had to consider Lotus Flower and co., who might want to join by the seaside. That would prevent any oversights.
The Rising Sun Theater could also organize a trip to the beach or something similar.
If the Theater Director agreed, even better.
Nightingale had plans down to the minute for Night Lan’s arrival in Pinghai City.
Night Lan and White Fish would play in the sea city, where they could have fun swimming and splashing.
Meanwhile, Nightingale would hang with theater members on the mainland coast.
Perfectly divided and familiarizing themselves with the whole city. Not bad.
If opportunity permits, maybe she could get everyone together for a big old bash.
Like White Fish and company with the theater crew.
It all depends, though.
Avoiding White Paint et al. was proving tricky.
Time passed.
A plane landed in Pinghai City airport.
Night Lan and co. disembarked.
Their plane had landed on the mainland at Pinghai City. To reach the sea city, they’d need other means such as a sea train, a ship, or hovercrafts.
Night Lan suggested they take the sea train. Seemed exciting.
White Paint agreed. Others weren’t opposed either. They started heading for the sea train station.
Night Lan’s team took a hovercar over to the station and finally saw the train.
Not much different from a metro train except its tracks. Those could be built over the ocean, ignoring marine emergencies; advanced tech, folks.
Anyway, Night Lan was pretty curious about the train ride across the sea.
White Paint quickly bought tickets for the sea city. She led everyone onto the train, awaiting its departure.
Night Lan sat near the window, exhaling deeply.
“Phew~”
As Night Lan and her crew boarded the train, Nightingale sprung into action.
Instead of immediately gathering the troupe to play, Nightingale first wandered around with Lotus Flower buying things.
It was necessary because no beach gear meant no beach fun.
Looks like Nightingale planned to buy swimwear ahead of Night Lan and enjoy watching Lotus Flower and the others in their swimsuits.
How thoughtful~

Switching over to Nightingale’s viewpoint…
They were picking out swimsuits in a store, discussing which looked better.
“Nightingale, what do you think of these swimsuits?”
Empty Rain White held up two options: a bikini and a flirty skirt one, both seeming great.
Nightingale pondered.
“Both seem perfect for Rain White. Give them a try and tell me how you feel.”
“Okay, I will rate them later.”
Smiling, Empty Rain White picked up a swimsuit and went to the fitting room.
Then, Book Yao approached to hear Nightingale’s thoughts.
“Nightingale, what type do you think suits me?”
“Hmm… Book Yao is a tall sis. You should go for the sexy, mature look. Bikini?”
“Sure, thanks for the advice. I’ll let you judge mine later.”
Book Yao turned away to pick out a swimsuit.
Watching the two leave, Nightingale mumbled to herself.
“Odd, why does everyone ask my opinion when I don’t know about any of this?”
Nightingale had never worn a swimsuit, especially women’s ones. Yesterday was the first time anyone told her about swimwear.
Asking a newbie for her opinion. That sure messed things up for Nightingale.
