Chapter 14: Room Allocation
The gray-haired loli quickly approached Night Lan and the others, and introduced herself with a flair.
“Hello! I’m Forgotten Feather. Don’t let my little girl appearance fool you; I’m actually a twenty-year-old adult stuck in this short body due to the power of the Stars. Please don’t treat me like a minor; after all, I’m a bona fide Night Watcher!”
It seemed that the girl named Forgotten Feather could read Night Lan’s mind, and she quickly laid out her circumstances, clearly having been misunderstood many times before.
When White Paint realized that Forgotten Feather was actually several years older than her, she dropped her suspicious look.
“Hi, I’m White Paint, a Night Watcher from Yun Chang City. I look forward to your guidance in the days to come.”
Forgotten Feather waved her hand dismissively, her expression so adorably unique it was hard not to smile.
“Don’t mention it! Let’s head to your assigned accommodations, shall we?”
It appeared that Forgotten Feather wasn’t keen on much chit-chat with White Paint and the others.
Perhaps she wasn’t very skilled at socializing.
Maybe she was a shy legal loli?
Night Lan felt a bit guilty about that.
Such a gap~
Though both were legal lolis, Night Lan had been busy goofing off amidst lolis, reveling in the warm embrace of fun and games.
Meanwhile, Forgotten Feather, as a legal loli, faced her identity head-on, refusing to laze around just because of her youthful appearance and instead embraced the true responsibilities of a Night Watcher.
Talk about being mature!
Night Lan’s cheeks flushed at the thought, feeling like she was letting the legal loli community down.
But then she remembered what the king of laziness, Wang Chao, once told her.
“If you encounter something you don’t want to face, just slack off!”
“Right, right, right! A great choice!”
After mulling it over for a moment, Night Lan quickly connected the dots.
She decided to be shameless.
Slacking off as a legal loli wasn’t something to be embarrassed about!
Plus, being surrounded by lolis and indulging in fun was just following her heart.
What’s wrong with being a loli enthusiast!?
And, she was allowed to slack off under the approval of Boss Xiao Jin, who even encouraged her to take it easy without worrying about Night Watcher duties.
So Night Lan was officially slacking off, and not because she was avoiding her responsibilities or anything!
With that thought, Night Lan felt relieved.
Of course, slacking off could resolve most worries.
Feeling a light-heartedness wash over her, Night Lan curiously eyed the floating legal loli, Forgotten Feather.
It seemed she wasn’t used to wearing shoes; her barefoot floating was quite the attention-grabber.
Didn’t she feel shy under such scrutiny?
Forgotten Feather seemed to notice Night Lan’s gaze and explained, “This is my Stellar {Near-Earth Float}; it saves a lot of energy for moving long distances and can last quite a while.”
“Oh~ I get it! But aren’t you shy about not wearing shoes?”
“Hmm… I wore them at first, but eventually, I realized I didn’t really need to walk, and the thought of dirtying my feet was annoying. Shoes became uncomfortable, so I just went barefoot. As for shyness… as long as you’re okay with it in your heart, it’s fine.”
“Ah, I see!”
Night Lan thought this made a fair point.
If her mode of travel also involved floating, she certainly wouldn’t bother with shoes.
Being barefoot and free is so much more comfortable!
That feeling of no constraints is the best!
As for the potential athlete’s foot issue…
No worries!
A loli who never touched the ground couldn’t possibly have athlete’s foot!
With that thought, Night Lan stared intently at Forgotten Feather’s tiny feet, clearly curious.
Both of them were legal lolis, making Night Lan feel an inexplicable kinship.
And there were no legal issues to worry about.
If it looks suspicious, but isn’t, that’s the beauty of being a legal loli.
Forgotten Feather didn’t mind Night Lan’s curious gaze.
As an adult, she was quite accommodating towards adorable, sensible girls.
As long as they weren’t brats.
It was a bit embarrassing, though.

Of course, she wasn’t expecting to be the life of the party, either.
Not having much expression was a downside to her social skills.
Gee, who would even like a girl with a flat expression?
“Follow me.”
Night Lan and the others followed the floating Forgotten Feather into an elevator, landing on an unknown floor.
During the ride, White Paint asked, “Forgotten Feather, I heard there’s a group-oriented Star Eclipse organization in Pinghaishi. Is that true?”
“Yep, it’s true. That’s the information gathered from above, and it’s quite the hidden trouble in Pinghaishi.”
“Very troublesome?”
“Indeed. They hide very well; even the Know Stars can’t pinpoint them.”
Night Lan’s interest piqued at this topic.
She had never heard of such a thing before!
A group-oriented Star Eclipse in Pinghaishi!
Was it similar to the Rising Sun Theater Group?
“How does it compare to the Rising Sun Theater Group?” Night Lan couldn’t help but ask.
After a few seconds of silence, Forgotten Feather finally responded, “The Rising Sun Theater Group is a different approach; Night Watchers shouldn’t handle them in the traditional way we handle Star Eclipses. If we’re talking about overall strength, the group-oriented Star Eclipses in Pinghaishi don’t have the same dramatic flair as the Rising Sun Theater Group. They’re still manageable.”
“Oh.”
Night Lan wasn’t too concerned with their strength but rather the Star Eclipses themselves.
If they could learn to work together, they must be special kinds of Eclipses.
Perhaps they had a degree of intelligence or a sense of humanity, like Eypar.
If their presence in human society was hindered due to their own Eclipse taint, Night Lan could lend them a hand.
Maybe using the all-purpose Wish Machine’s power.
A B-level spirit should be able to wish away the Eclipse taint; it shouldn’t be too difficult.
With that thought, Night Lan suddenly contemplated asking Night Star to attempt removing the taint from the theater members.
This way, even without Kong Yu Bai and the Audience Performer around, they could still perform normally without worrying about their power harming the audience, which seemed like a pretty good outcome.
Then she could check with the Group Leader to see if they would agree to it.
“Here we are; this is your lounge. They’re all double rooms—four in total. Any objections?”
“Nope.”
“Alright, I’ll be on my way then. Have fun in Pinghaishi! If you need anything, just search my name in the Night Watcher system to contact me.”
“Okay.”
With work complete, Forgotten Feather floated away.
This made Night Lan think of a certain ghost girl who was already exploring Pinghaishi.
That ghost, too, floated in the air.
But Eypar could walk through walls while Forgotten Feather probably couldn’t.
Night Lan shrugged off those random thoughts and turned her attention to the lounge before her.
According to the arrangement, there were four double lounges to distribute. How should they divide them?
