### Chapter 21: Missing Out Part 1/5
Mo Rabbit returned to the beach where she left Night Star and the others.
She didn’t plan on mentioning what had just happened.
Or at least, not yet.
Considering the Audience Performer’s amazing ability to draw in attention, they were likely to run into them during this trip.
It was only a matter of time, really.
That’s what her instincts were telling her.
“Looks like this trip will be much more interesting. How delightful!”
Mo Rabbit sighed, then decided to borrow a recliner and an umbrella to lay down with.
The sea breeze felt perfect as she wore sunglasses she had somehow found, and there she relaxed.
At that moment, he spotted someone sitting high up wearing some kind of uniform, apparently working.
He seemed to be a lifeguard. Seems even nomads need jobs these days.
In this day and age, it’s not so easy being a traditional wanderer anymore. Having no job when stopping somewhere isn’t an option.
Being a lifeguard must be one of the easier jobs.
Mo Rabbit figured he might have done plenty of similar gigs.
Then she turned her gaze back towards Night Star’s direction, and after a moment of contemplation, refocused on the person above her.
“Could have noticed anything?”
According to Mo Rabbit’s theory…
If this guy had seen Night Star, he probably would’ve reacted.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t see her.
Maybe it’s because Kongyu Bai’s [Existence Interference] level is too high, preventing him from casually observing others.
“Whatever.”
Mo Rabbit decided to let it be and continued lounging in the recliner, basking in the sea breeze.
After all, having come all the way to the seaside, why not get into that cute swimsuit and enjoy herself?
And with all those new data fragments floating around in her mind, coupled with the two bits of information she just acquired, it felt pretty exhausting.
Not long afterwards…
A few Night Watchers showed up, perhaps alerted by the base’s Star Eclipses detection system.
There had been low-grade Star Eclipses here, but suddenly they vanished for no apparent reason.
That requires investigation.
Soon enough…
The Night Watchers swiftly identified people of interest, particularly Yün Bó who sat up above, scanning the area.
The Night Watchers’ investigative skills were impressive, especially regarding Star Eclipses.
Yün Bó came down for questioning, not hiding his identity.
Although he wasn’t a Night Watcher himself, he had registered at the base, thus not considered suspicious.
“So, you’re the guy who took care of that troublesome Star Eclipse?”
“Yeah,”
Yün Bó appeared gloomy, making it seem like a daunting task to talk to him.
The Night Watcher questioned him briefly before heading off, confident that there wasn’t any nearby Star Eclipses to verify lies.
“Exhausting work, Mr. Yün Bó. Should you ever consider joining us, make sure to get in touch.”
The Night Watcher turned and left, seemingly unfazed about any potential falsehoods from Yün Bó.
“Back to enjoying myself.”
Yün Bó returned to his spot, face still clouded with worry.
He didn’t understand why he lied. Possibly, his kindness held him back.
Meanwhile…
Four girls passed by: Night Star and company.
They noticed other Star Holders arriving earlier, their aura far more powerful than regular ones.
“Hmm… Are those Night Watchers?”
Night Star wondered aloud, observing the backs of some strangers.
Kong Yu Bai guessed, “Probably. That Star Eclipse aura before—must be why the Night Watchers came over.”
Night Star glanced up, seeing a deep blue-haired youth surveying the surroundings.
“Is he another Night Watcher?”
“I bet it’s related to the Star Eclipse incident. Could be the same guy who dealt with that low-grade one, rather than a Night Watcher.”
“Hmm… I guess he’s some sort of recluse or wise man.”
Night Star was unimpressed.
Since it’s not a little loli, might as well go get some coconut juice instead.
To skip out on coconut juice is to fail at life.
Such seaside luxury should be savored.
Thus they missed a chance to meet.
Mo Rabbit continued lying back, blissfully savoring the sea breeze.
Quite the pleasure seeker.
Switching perspective…
Over with Night Lan.
They had already bought their swimsuits.
Mainly picked by Night Lan herself.
Picking those that matched her tastes and suited White Fish, among others.
Now it’s all about hitting the beach.
Next, they had planned to stroll along the shore.
Night Lan showed no particular excitement.
After all, Night Star was still busy playing at the city’s beach.
First-timers always get the thrill, whereas second-timers feel less excited.
Soon enough…
Night Lan and company arrived at the designated beach.
As bustling as the area Night Star frequented, it wasn’t overly crowded.
This calmness appealed to Night Lan, giving just the right vibe.
However, donning a swimsuit might ruin that anonymity she enjoyed.
Once caught in strangers’ sight, she’d feel self-conscious, embarrassed, and uncomfortable.
How frustrating.
But for fun with White Fish and the gang, she’d have to work past those feelings.
Arriving at the sand, White Fish and the little lojis became excited, faces flushed with joy like kids eager to dive into the ocean.
Seems they truly yearned for real waves.
Even now, many hadn’t experienced the sea firsthand.
That initial coastal thrill, as if celebrating a huge accomplishment, brought everything to life.
For Night Lan, it was an achievement in itself.
“Ugh… It feels different from where Night Star is.”
Night Lan murmured softly.
The seaside setting was its own kind of island life, distinct from mainland culture.
With beaches surrounding the edges, the space felt ample, and the view stunning.
Living here, for lovers of the sea, could be wonderful.
Now, peering toward the horizon, she recognized familiar figures—Cai Xun and Bu Jie.
Dressed in swimsuits, accompanied by two older ladies laughing and chatting.
This sight made her realize, they weren’t exactly child enthusiasts.
Anyone not into the little girl scene was an outcast.
“They’re definitely no kid fans!”
Thought Night Lan.
Then, she saw a cruise ship docked at the shore, a sudden idea striking her mind.
“Senior Bai Tu, can we take the cruise to see the sea?”
“Night Lan wants to? Sure, let’s all go!”
Bai Tu agreed readily.
Thus, the journey began, the sea adventure about to unfold.
