The control room of the Night Watcher Base blared with an alarm indicating the destruction of a Dusk Jellyfish, startling all staff present.
“What’s going on?”
“Did a single Dusk Jellyfish just get wiped out instantly?!”
“Quick! Control the remaining Dusk Jellyfish to investigate.”
Other staff quickly snapped to attention and began controlling the surviving Dusk Jellyfish.
In the deep sea.
The two remaining Dusk Jellyfish rapidly descended under the supervision of the staff, seemingly to investigate why one of their comrades had been destroyed.
As they plunged deeper into the dark abyss, the jellyfish’s powerful lights began illuminating the black depths.
But in an instant…
Two tentacles shot up from the ocean floor, ensnaring the descending jellyfish. Their immense crushing strength caused internal damage that led to immediate breakdown, causing a series of loud thuds.
Bang! Bang!
“Graahh!”
A collective gasp filled the control room of the Night Watcher Base.
Advanced sonic radar had already confirmed the basic shape and size of the attacker right after the destruction of the Dusk Jellyfish.
From the last images transmitted by the Dusk Jellyfish, it was clearly a ghastly Giant Creature!
There was no mistake. This had to be a marine creature twisted by Star Eclipse contamination, very likely an oversized octopus!
“Quick! Alert the Sunlight Night Watcher! A dangerous creature is on the loose!”
“Darn! If that thing gets close to the shore, it will cause massive casualties!”
“That creature must be here to find its master, the one responsible for polluting the sea life!”
Staff quickly took control of all Dusk Jellyfish near the floating city, guiding them towards a common destination.
Even if those jellyfish weren’t effective, every moment wasted was worth the fight, at least until the Sunlight Night Watcher arrived.
This sea creature wasn’t a Star Eclipse Embodiment but merely a flesh-and-bl**d entity.
Since it’s made of flesh, modern technology could still harm it.
While the floating city lacked weapons of mass destruction, they still had basic weaponry.
However, this might not do much against enhanced creatures like the heteromorphic ones.
There wasn’t time for the modern army to take down the beast.
Only a Sunlight Night Watcher, capable of acting like a humanoid nuke, could handle this situation.
Staff quickly checked satellite surveillance videos to confirm the whereabouts of irrelevant civilians nearby the giant heteromorphic creature.
But when they checked, they got a shock!
There was actually a cruise ship in the vicinity of the monster-infested region!
What kind of prank was this?!
This could cost lives!
“Oh no! There’s a cruise ship nearby with possibly innocent people on board!”
“Wha—?!”

The scene shifts back to the cruise ship.
Night Lan felt increasingly uneasy, her face contorting into a worried cat-like expression, wishing she could immediately alert the captain to head back to shore.
Right then, White Paint and company receive a sudden emergency notification from their Night Watcher equipment.
Upon reaching Ping Haishi, their equipment switches network servers, no longer receiving news from the Yun Chang City base but instead from Ping Haishi.
White Paint pulls out her Night Watcher device to read the alert.
It says there’s a massive ocean creature in a certain sea region, likely a dangerously twisted creature due to Star Eclipse power, too potent even for Dusk Jellyfish. Coordinates were attached, very clear.
Night Lan stared intently at the alert, especially the bright red coordinates that amplified her growing anxiety.
“Ay geez… Can you even imagine such luck? I feel like I should buy lottery tickets…”
She muttered, her actions unhindered.
Within seconds, she activated location confirmation, checking her coordinates against the alert’s. It matched.
Now, she was convinced.
“Oh sh**t! This is real trouble!”
At that moment, the calm sea began to stir dramatically, as though something gigantic was about to erupt from the deep.
Next second…
Bang!
A monstrous form seemed to launch itself from beneath the waves, resembling something that had gone through a shredder.
“Is that a Dusk Jellyfish?”
That battered form was unrecognizable as a jellyfish, but Night Lan instinctively knew it was a Star tech robot named Dusk Jellyfish.
Why would it be so ruined?

Flinged high into the sky and smashed back into the water, sending gallons flying everywhere.
The scene wasn’t over yet.
A grotesque tentacle burst from the sea, swaying ominously overhead, threatening to crash down any second, filling everyone with fear.
Not only one—more broke through the surface, creating waves akin to writhing pillars, exerting intense pressure.
Talk about nightmare material!
Yet what materialized before the cruise ship folk wasn’t a dream; it was reality!
Night Lan finally realized where her unease originated.
Why such a colossal creature? It was like stepping into a Toonland where Ultraman battles monsters with tentacles. Even though she stayed composed, others were panicking.
Specially, innocent tourists.
Seeing such a monstrous sea beast could leave lasting trauma, particularly nightmares.
“This… thing—is this real!?”
“Mon-strou-s!”
White Paint swiftly moved, grabbing some loli girls around her, ready to use Star escape.
Without Night Lan and companions, White Paint might have attacked directly.
But with them, she opted to protect rather than fight, watching the situation unfold.
The boat trembled furiously on rough seas, tipping precariously.
Sure, the cruise ship was advanced enough not to capsize easily, but an attack from this deep-sea beast might change everything.
“What now?”
White Paint’s mind raced, thinking of a way to get them out of this.
Yet now on the same boat with ordinary people, leaving could mean plunging into more dangerous waters. Both options were deadly.
Even rescue might arrive too late.
White Paint was the sole Night Watcher combatant, relying on her to buy time and shield others from harm.
She had no choice but to take action.
And there she stood, facing the nightmare with nothing to lose.
