The Star Eclipses incident concerning *Thoughts Drowning* was supposed to be wrapped up.
But all the Night Watchers were completely blindsided when a special Star Eclipse popped up, resurrecting *Thoughts Drowning* and hiding her away in a secret spot.
This left the Night Watchers scratching their heads.
Fortunately, *Thoughts Drowning* hadn’t caused any follow-up chaos and was, presumably, tucked away in some deserted area.
Plus, at that moment, the troublesome fallout from *Ecological Distortion* had successfully diverted the Night Watchers’ attention, allowing this whole thing to be temporarily overlooked.
Night Lan, after reading the info on *Thoughts Drowning*’s transformation, couldn’t help but sigh dramatically.
“Is this really how it’s gonna play out…?”
I mean, she hadn’t done anything at all—just quietly sat in a corner.
She should have been ignored by the Night Watchers, but instead, she got backstabbed by the Star Eclipse pollution, leading the Night Watchers to a dark fate.

Night Lan woke up in the lounge, with a certain Zero Meow snoozing by her side.
“Ugh… Good morning…” Night Lan grumbled.
But Zero Meow just kept on with her beauty rest, responding with a sleepy little “meow” as if to say, “Thanks for waking me up… not!”
As Night Lan gradually woke up, she resigned herself to petting Zero Meow’s hair.
Originally, she was planning to snuggle with Night Star at the Rising Sun Theater yesterday.
But Zero Meow seemed to have sniffed out her plans early on and quickly latched on to her, insisting that Night Lan stay and take a nap instead.
What a total clingy pest!
Night Lan couldn’t withstand Zero Meow’s cuteness and pleading, so she ended up dozing off with her in the lounge.
During this time, Night Lan figured she might as well use Zero Meow as a pillow—slightly better than her Eypar-brand pillow, to be honest.
The loli shape definitely added points!
Although nothing could quite compare to her own Night Star, Zero Meow was satisfactory.
The only drawback? Snoozing Zero Meow was a bit of a handful, often putting her hands in all sorts of weird places—definitely a little loli expert at pushing boundaries!

Zero Meow, sensing some petting action, mumbled a confused “mew” and instantly used Night Lan’s hand as a pillow.
Night Star shook her head in disbelief.
“Zero Meow, even in your sleep, you’re so restless. I’m definitely not sharing a bed with you again…”
Carefully, Night Lan slipped her arm away and went to wash up.
Oh, and just a side note: Star Sheng had officially registered as a Night Watcher, so she now resided at the Night Watcher Base, with the lounge conveniently located right next door.
Night Lan also took the time to bring back the fishbowl from the basement to her lounge.
Star Sheng adored that little goldfish, promising to care for it diligently and treat it like a friend.
After all, it was a gift from Night Lan.
In short, she could look forward to a stable life now.
No one would ignore her.
Once the Night Watchers in Pinghaishi learned about her story, it wouldn’t be so easy for her to stay reclusive anymore.
Someone would always be there to look out for her.
After a bit, Night Lan finished washing up and got ready to head out.
It was now eight in the morning.
Pretty early!
Aside from office workers and some students, most folks were still opting to snooze a bit longer.
Night Lan strolled into the cafeteria at the Night Watcher Base, ready for a bite to eat for breakfast.
There were still quite a few Night Watchers around at this hour—at least tens of them.
As Night Lan balanced her meal while being stared at by dozens of pairs of eyes, she felt a little awkward, like ants crawling over her skin.
Just then, two young ladies approached; they were from the younger generation of Night Watchers.
“Are you Night Lan?”
“Um, yeah, what’s up?” Night Lan replied, feeling a bit jittery.
Even if her social anxiety had eased a bit, she wasn’t about to become the life of the party!
“Good luck!”
“Oh…”
The two young ladies left, leaving Night Lan stunned.
She’d just been unintentionally cheered on.
“What was that about…?”
Night Lan muttered, munching on her breakfast, utterly befuddled.

They all agreed to keep their distance from Night Lan, only throwing her a simple greeting or encouragement now and then.
