Chapter 67: Completion
Night Lan strolled into Shiyu Qianyi’s room.
It seemed Shiyu was busy with homework and didn’t even notice Night Lan’s grand entrance.
Night Lan quietly stared at Shiyu’s back, feeling that the current Shiyu was a world apart from the future Shiyu.
She radiated sunshine and positivity, and her inner world didn’t seem all doom and gloom.
Currently, her happiness hadn’t been spoiled by the Ballad Conductor. If things continued like this, a happy ending was definitely in the cards!
That ability to make people feel warm and fuzzy was a gem anywhere, like a girl blessed by the universe.
Night Lan exhaled, finally breaking the silence.
“Shiyu Qianyi.”
“Hmm?”
Shiyu jumped at the sudden voice and turned to face the speaker.
“Who are you?”
She didn’t recognize this cute black-haired girl at all.
But, hey, first impressions were on point—definitely not a dislike!
“Illegal entry, huh?”
Shiyu tilted her head, suddenly having that thought.
She hadn’t heard a knock.
A stranger just appearing in her room? It screamed “intruder alert!”
If it weren’t for the lovely aura of the girl before her, Shiyu might’ve suspected she was a thief or something!
After all, her family was quite wealthy, so a thief popping by wouldn’t be too far-fetched.
But this black-haired girl didn’t exactly seem like a criminal mastermind.
“What do you want here?” Shiyu tossed out her third question.
Finally, Night Lan answered.
“I wanted to get to know you.”
“Get to know me? Why?”
Shiyu was puzzled. She had a self-awareness, sensing that people liked her easily and that the gazes directed her way were friendly. She was accustomed to that mysterious warmth.
But today’s situation? Never encountered it before!
Could it be that this girl spotted her outside, followed her stealthily, and made her spectacular move into her room?
If that were the case, having a passive charm that boosts others’ fondness wasn’t just tricky—it could be disastrous!
If everyone were like this black-haired girl, talk about trouble.
Night Lan seemed to catch onto Shiyu’s thoughts but didn’t elaborate. Instead, she bluntly revealed her intention.
“Well, it’s pretty simple: I have a crush on you.”
“Eh?”
Shiyu’s mind went blank for a moment, utterly confused.
This girl was definitely a little odd.
But Shiyu politely asked for clarification.
“Is it because you like me? If I think hard about it, maybe it’s just a hypnotic effect.”
Night Lan knew exactly what she was saying.
“Sure, I like you, but it absolutely isn’t some bizarre power influencing me. I’m a mainlander, clearly gotta aim for the white-haired lolis!”
“Uh…”
Shiyu was gobsmacked.
Why was the answer so different from what she imagined?
Loli lover?
This was a first for her to hear such reasoning.
So it wasn’t some mysterious force that attracted her but rather Shiyu’s charming sparkle that caught her eye?
Oddly enough, that made her happy.
Shiyu had often asked those around her about why they liked her.
Most responses were vague—like a spontaneous “I just liked you when I saw you.” Some concocted bizarre explanations, but she could feel the origin of their fondness really came from that mysterious power.
Except for family, most were like that.
Though she enjoyed the ambiance, this girl…
How to put it?
Seemed enchanted by her cuteness.
If some creepy uncle said that, Shiyu would definitely call the cops.
But this black-haired girl was equally adorable, radiating a charm even stronger than her own—it was obvious she wasn’t your average person.
Such a girl declaring herself a loli lover, having committed a break-in just to say she wanted to be friends? This was wild!
Shiyu’s expression was a mix of confusion, like she didn’t know how to respond.
But one thing was for sure: her heart was secretly soaring.
Feeling a bit giddy.
Shiyu forced herself to act cool and normal.
“Ahem, so, are you here to be friends with me?”
“If you agree, I’m totally game…”
“I agree! What’s your name?”
“I’m Night Lan.”
Night Lan let out a sigh, feeling a sense of mission accomplished.
Current Shiyu Qianyi wasn’t like her future self, who had the knack for leveraging obsession to gain fondness.
It would actually be a bit difficult to hoodwink her now.
Suddenly appearing in someone’s private quarters? Highly suspicious, no doubt.
The fact that Shiyu hadn’t called for help already showed huge trust.
Thank goodness Night Lan also had that loli charm—her cuteness could lower the guards.
She’s amazing!
Before Night Lan could bask in her success, Shiyu continued with her questions: “So what are you planning to do next? Can I ask how you got into my room? You just popped up like you’ve got superpowers or something.”
“Superpowers? Oh, you can call it ‘stars,’” Night Lan explained.
“Stars? What’s that?” Shiyu was baffled.
“Well, it’s like a power inside you that naturally makes people fond of you; that’s one of the effects of stars. Everyone’s stars are unique.”
“Interesting! I’ve never heard of such a thing before. Learning a lot here!”
Shiyu nodded thoughtfully.
“How about coming over to my place for a meal? A friend should be properly treated!”
“No thanks, I’ll be leaving soon. I just wanted to meet you, to leave you a memory of me—after all, it’s one of my interests.”
Shiyu frowned slightly.
“Can’t wrap my head around it.”
“Just think of me as a time traveler from the future, here to change a tragic past.”
“Eh?”
Shiyu found it absurd, yet somehow believed it.
“Did you succeed in changing it?”
“Of course! There’s nothing I can’t do! I’m the best there is!”
Night Lan proudly posed, hands on her hips, chest puffed out—oh, what a sight to behold!
“Wow, impressive! So you’re planning to head back to the future?”
“Yep, I can’t stay here forever.”
Hearing that, Shiyu turned pensive, clear reluctance in her eyes.
She just made such a special friend, and now they barely chatted before Night Lan had to leave.
“Will you come back and be friends with me in the future?”
Night Lan stepped up to her, giving her shoulder a friendly pat while smiling.
“Absolutely! We’re friends now!”
“Glad to hear that.”
“See you in the future, my friend.”
With that, Night Lan’s figure vanished, returning to the pitch-black void.
A few wishes in, and she was nearing her limit.
But hey, at least she wasn’t about to pass out like last time—this was an upgrade!
“Minor interference, I definitely don’t want to miss the theater group’s performance,” Night Lan mumbled.
