### Chapter 3: The Resilient Beetle of the Star Eclipse World
Night Star Lan told the Dream Narrator about her encounter with the Ballad Conductor.
“I didn’t expect you to run into him so quickly.”
The Dream Narrator smiled slyly and maintained his elegant demeanor.
He could tell that Night Star Lan really disliked the Dream Narrator.
Whether it was by the tone of her voice or the look in her eye now, she clearly had a strong aversion to what he mentioned.
It seemed that the Dream Narrator must have done something to really upset Night Star Lan.
And it might be even more serious than when the Uncrowned Wanderer, Oya, and Hilo had bullied her last time.
“It looks like he did something that annoyed you,” the Dream Narrator said.
Night Star Lan nodded gloomily.
“Yeah, he hurt my friends. I hate him.”
“Understandable. In your human perspective, he’s probably the most dangerous supernova star eclipse. He has more malice towards humans than any other first-generation star eclipse. His obsession is specifically targeted at humans. A lot of tragedies in this world were caused by him; there might even be some major historical events connected to him.”
The Dream Narrator confidently shared his knowledge of the Ballad Conductor without hesitation.
After all, sharing intelligence wasn’t new to him.
Besides, that guy had offended the girl in front of him, so there was no need for any cover-up.
Even if he were once a colleague, the Dream Narrator had no obligation to keep any kind of professional relationship with him.
First-generation star eclipses were all lone wolves and never allied.
Even if the Ballad Conductor were to disappear immediately, it wouldn’t affect the Dream Narrator in the slightest.
Night Lan stroked the Dream Pursuer Yin’s hair and explained what happened in the timeline.
“In fact, I killed that b*stard using a special method twice. He should be corrected dead now.”
“Dead?”
The Ballad Conductor flashed a mysterious smile.
“Are you sure he’s really gone?”
Hearing this, Night Star Lan looked puzzled and suddenly felt an ominous premonition.
“What do you mean?”
“Just as it sounds. How did you k*ll him?”
The Dream Narrator asked.
Night Star Lan honestly replied, “I just said ‘go d*e,’ and he went ‘bang’ and died.”
“Go d*e… That’s a shockingly simple d*ath sentence,” the Dream Narrator remarked, shaking his head lightly.
Night Star Lan also sensed something was off from the Dream Narrator’s reaction.
“Could it be that guy isn’t actually dead?”
Realizing this, Night Star Lan was flabbergasted.
What kind of superbug in the Star Eclipse World was this?
Died twice and still not completely dead?
This guy is too tough to k*ll!
The Dream Narrator acknowledged Night Star Lan’s guess and explained the uniqueness of the Supernova Star Eclipse.
“Let’s put it this way, for beings like us, d*ath doesn’t exist. Regardless of how many times we’re physically ‘dead,’ supernova star eclipses can always return. I bet in your human history, nobody’s ever permanently killed a supernova star eclipse, right?”
Upon hearing this, Night Star Lan pondered deeply.
“Seems so… yeah.”
Supernova Star Eclipses rarely appeared in history.
Even though the official version of the event in Doll City was resolved by the Night Watcher, Lianhua did not cease to exist.
That gave Night Lan the chance to rescue her.
In the end, it’s not like the Night Watchers encountered too many supernova star eclipse disasters.
Given the lack of information, it makes sense they don’t know much about supernova star eclipses.
Night Star Lan only found out about this recently.
She then asked the Dream Narrator seriously, “Since physical d*ath means nothing, what can I do to make him disappear from this world?”
The Dream Narrator suggested jokingly.
“You can try wishing for him to vanish.”
He didn’t care about whether the Ballad Conductor disappeared or not.
But if he had to choose between Night Star Lan and the Ballad Conductor, the former would naturally be his choice.
Who cares? The former is stronger.
Plus, he’s a potential entity that could grow to an origin level.
“That might work…”
Night Star Lan lit up, eager to take action.
Every second that guy lived was terrible.
Perhaps he’s already causing more tragedy to innocent people now.
The Ballad Conductor had previously hurt Star Sheng and Shiyu Qianyi.
But that’s only what Night Star Lan knows.
There might be more loli victims than these two.
Night Lan definitely doesn’t want to meet more friends in the future who bear scars inflicted by the Ballad Conductor.
So, she chose to wish.
“Make the Ballad Conductor completely vanish from this world!”
However, the Wish Machine made no response to the wish.
Night Star Lan tilted her head in confusion.
“Huh? Why not? I’ve killed him twice before!”
Night Star Lan believed that with her B-grade mental power, she could crush the Ballad Conductor into pieces. But the fact that it couldn’t make him disappear was a big letdown!
Looks like B-grade mental power can’t fully annihilate a supernova star eclipse; one would need to reach A-grade…
Absolutely not.
Night Star Lan definitely didn’t want to rise to such a tier.
She didn’t want to become one of these star eclipses; losing control would probably be terrifying.
Night Star Lan accepted this reality quickly.
Although she couldn’t erase him completely, perhaps at least teaching him a lesson could be managed?
Killing him again wouldn’t be too hard, especially if it would help vent her frustration. She could just sleep longer afterward.
Night Star Lan wished again.
“Make the Ballad Conductor d*e.”
Seconds passed.
Still, the Wish Machine remained silent.
Now Night Star Lan was getting impatient.
“Why can’t I do it!?”
Her eyes wide with bewilderment, she pouted and started doubting herself.
Or maybe the Wish Machine itself had issues.
Had her wish-making ability not recovered?
Or was the Wish Machine broken?
Night Star Lan felt like holding her breath, a sense of heaviness in her chest.
“Wish Princess…”
As Night Star Lan called out, a girl with both Night Lan’s characteristics appeared out of thin air. This was the Wish Machine’s avatar.
Night Star Lan looked pitifully at her, seemingly hoping for an explanation.
Even though she is the host of the stars, she now seemed to be asking like a supplicant, reversing their roles.
But that’s normal.
The Wish Machine was an extraordinary star by definition; it wouldn’t be realistic if a little loli could easily control it.
Per the Night Watchmen’s principle, the star was never just raw power; it’s a status equalizer in critical moments.
To Night Star Lan, the Wish Princess was a powerful and cute loli.
Forget being a contractual partner, she could be a close friend.
Well, not that Night Star Lan would dare to be disrespectful.
Except for hugging.
Even the Wish Princess couldn’t stop Night Star Lan’s hug attacks!
In response to Night Star Lan’s question, the Wish Princess explained, “The Ballad Conductor’s power level has increased.”
“What?”
Night Star Lan hadn’t understood yet.
The Wish Princess repeated, “For now, you won’t affect him easily.”
“Ji!”
Now Night Star Lan got it.
That annoying j*rk became stronger!
