### Chapter 5: New Member of the Theater Group
Night Star Lan had been eager to bring Wish Princess into reality for quite some time.
This was one super cute and adorable loli that smelled like a dream come true!
And she was born from within her own body.
Combining the characteristics of Night Star and Night Lan, couldn’t she be their two daughters?
As for why two co-bodies can have a combined daught- oh wait, there goes the explanation.
Night Star Lan really didn’t know how to explain it to others except the people in the theater troupe once Wish Princess descended into reality.
If she brought Wish Princess to the Night Watcher Base and the higher-ups knew about it, they would probably be very impressed since she is the embodiment of Extraordinary Star’s wisdom.
Just now, Night Star Lan was just testing if she could get Wish Princess to appear in reality.
No big deal if it didn’t work out.
But she didn’t expect that with her B-level mental strength, she could actually summon Loli Wish Princess into the real world.
Holy moly!
Wish Princess’s “Yes” left Night Star Lan in awe and overwhelming joy.
By the time she regained her composure, the two loli forms jumped on top of Wish Princess without hesitation to display their happiness.
“It’s great! We can actually touch Wish Princess in real life!”
“We could only hug in dreams. So inconvenient!”
“We should introduce her to Lianhua after this!”
“Oh, but how do we introduce her?”
“Let’s put her in the Rising Sun Theatre Group as a backup Audience Performer, what do you think?”
“No no, there can only be one Audience Performer. Let’s come up with another title.”
Night Star and Night Lan started their chat like they were talking to different people.
Even though they were just talking to themselves, it had the vibe of a comedy skit, pretty impressive of Night Star Lan’s talent.
Wish Princess, who had just been tackled by some silly hosts, didn’t push them away but instead calmly stared at them.
“You’re so dumb.”
Night Star and Night Lan instantly froze up in perfect sync.
“A-Are you kidding me?”
“How am I dumb?!”
Reacting quickly, Night Star Lan refuted.
If it was someone else, she wouldn’t mind, but being ridiculed by the most depended on Wish Princess? That could cause some serious emotional damage!
She would cry!
Definitely cry!
Night Star Lan never treated Wish Princess as a tool to be used casually. Rather, she saw her more as a partner.
But their cooperation wasn’t equal.
Because Night Star Lan felt she contributed nothing while Wish Princess unconditionally supported her.
Just this realization alone made Night Star Lan realize her position.
As for arrogance? No way, Night Star Lan didn’t have that trait.
“Mmm…”
Wish Princess seemed to read Night Star Lan’s thoughts and stroked the heads of both loli forms with a serious face.
“I will learn from you. You are responsible for guiding me, and this is your price to pay.”
“What?”
Night Star Lan froze, then immediately understood.
“I got it!”
Night Star Lan showed a cute smile as she continued petting Wish Princess until dawn.
This time, she didn’t need the help of Dream Pursuer Yin to wake up from the dream.
She had left with the Dream Narrator.
But even without her, Wish Princess managed to break free from the dream with no obstacles.
When Night Lan opened her eyes again, she woke up from the bedroom in the rest area.
She looked around and noticed Zero Meow had indeed climbed onto her bed and was still asleep.
“Mmm…”
Night Lan blinked, and without waking her, quietly got up to wash up and then headed to the Rising Sun Theater.
The Audience Performers woke up in sync with Night Lan and were already waiting for her inside the theater.
“Puppet Master~ Singer~ Playwright, good morning~”
Lianhua, Kong Yu Bai, and Book Yao were all there, greeting Night Star Lan.
With the second weekend approaching, they needed to practice more recently, so there couldn’t be any slacking off.
Not everyone could just take a break and relax like the Audience Performers.
Kong Yu Bai moved closer to Night Lan.
“What brings you to the theater, Night Lan? Did you come for a hug with the Audience Performer?”
Night Lan looked puzzled.
“Is that what the Singer thinks? Is it only about hugging the Audience Performer?”
Lianhua, Kong Yu Bai, and Book Yao nodded, seemingly knowing Night Star Lan very well.
This put Night Lan in an awkward situation.
“Why can’t I come to hug you guys?”
“If the Audience Performer is already here, shouldn’t Night Lan head in without coming to us?” Lianhua wondered.
Night Lan pondered for a moment.
“Seems like that’s true.”
On the other side,
Book Yao walked over to Night Star.
“So, does this mean Night Lan really came just to hug you guys?”
“Not right now.”
Night Star coughed to draw everyone’s attention.
Lianhua and the others turned towards her.
But that wasn’t enough.
Night Star and Night Lan went to the stage and called out to other members of the troupe.
“Everyone gather up here! Come on, look this way. I have an announcement!”
Under the Audience Performer’s call, the shadowy Group Leader, Gentleman, and Fraudster emerged and looked at the two petite figures on stage.
From behind the stage, the Makeup Artist walked out, having just dwelled in a painting moments ago.
The Announcer suddenly appeared in the audience seats, awaiting the Audience Performer’s words.
Even Guqiu flew down from the ceiling of the theater.
Every member was looking at the two loli figures on stage, curious about what they might say.
Facing the gazes of the troupe members, Night Star Lan intentionally cleared her throat to organize her words.
“Actually, our theater group is getting a new member!”
New member?
Everybody in the troupe was confused.
Thinking back, the troupe hadn’t had a new addition for quite some time.
For the Group Leader, more members meant better performances, attracting more attention to the troupe.
Now, the Audience Performer is saying there’s going to be a new member?
All the troupe members were suddenly interested.
Before further elaboration, Night Star Lan warned:
“Just a heads-up, this new member might not perform frequently. Don’t get too disappointed.”
Upon hearing this, Kong Yu Bai and the others figured it out.
Is she like a mascot, always hanging around?
No, Audience Performers do appear sometimes during grand performances, unlike a complete mascot.
Wouldn’t it make sense for her to be similar to a prop like Guqiu, who appears basically never?
So, isn’t the new member likely to be a second Guqiu?
As that realization hit, they all turned their gaze to a pigeon preening its feathers, forming a rough idea of the newcomer’s role.
By normal standards, non-performative troupe members wouldn’t be part of it.
Guqiu at least gets to be a prop and brush up its presence on stage.
But what’s a non-performing mascot doing in the theater troupe?
The Announcer was an exception because she is necessary and acts as the top utility player in grand performances.
The Makeup Artist is also indispensable; no complete troupe can survive without professional makeup.
What new role could this new member bring to the troupe?
Only time (and perhaps a few more chapters) will tell.
