Chapter 675

As dusk descended and night fell, the Third Floor of Qiushui Pavilion remained unlit.

Ke Mo lounged casually in the middle of a soft couch, while Ying Bing sat with her legs crossed, her petite feet bouncing playfully. Her lovely eyes sparkled in the darkness.

She noticed when little Ke said that, his gaze looked really hungry—but, wait, he had just eaten!

Gu Ayi’s grandchild, also little Ke’s offspring.

So, the question arises: Ke Mo, being male, couldn’t exactly give birth, so who would be responsible for the “young childish ghost”?

And the more pressing question…

How on earth does one even do that?

In her past lives, Ying Bing had no idea, but thanks to the system, she had taken a peek into the mystical doorways of the world within a certain gentleman’s head.

Those snippets transformed into pink bubbles, bubbling away in her mind.

“Ahem…”

Ke Mo cleared his throat, feeling a tad awkward under the icy glances of the Little Ice Chunk.

In moments of uncertainty, people love to busy themselves, so he absentmindedly took off her shoes, especially since her little feet were swinging about so mischievously, catching the childish ghost’s eye.

“?”

By the time Ying Bing came to her senses, her long legs had somehow ended up resting on Ke Mo’s lap.

Her gaze fluttered, completely unaware of the independent thoughts her feet seemed to have:

“One childish ghost is already a handful; I can’t even imagine two more…”

Ke Mo blinked, “But it doesn’t necessarily have to be a childish ghost; it could be little Ice Chunk, you know?”

“True…,” Ying Bing pondered for a moment.

When she had been in the Imperial Capital, she’d seen many fathers with their children riding on their shoulders while holding their wives’ hands. It was a common enough scene, but if she imagined their faces swapping with her and his, it was just hard to shake off…

“What about the plan B?”

Ying Bing felt a bit foggy in her head and didn’t dare to think too deeply.

“Little Ice Chunk, we support each other, so we’re basically partners, right?”

“Yeah, you could say that.”

“Then my investment in you, isn’t it only logical that I’d get some… benefits?”

Ke Mo gazed at the beautiful Ice Chunk, wearing a look of an angelic investor.

“Should be…” Ying Bing seemed oblivious to any underlying implication, merely curling her snow-white toes.

“Well, I’ve made the investment, so it’s only fair to expect some return, right?”

Ke Mo argued logically but didn’t seem loud about it.

Hmm, what’s wrong with a funding method authorized by the system?

It just added a little twist to it.

Hearing this, Ying Bing squinted her eyes: “Childish ghost, I feel like you might have just trapped me. What’s Plan C?”

After all, there wasn’t much difference between Plan A and Plan B.

Ke Mo glanced to the side, giving off an innocent childish ghost vibe, seemingly clueless about her inquiry:

“Plan C is that yellow thing.”

“Dear sister, we don’t have that here.”

This person who pretended not to understand had totally morphed into a Ice Chunk.

“I didn’t find it in my room either; it might have ended up in your place. Let me check.”

Before Ying Bing could nod, Ke Mo gently pulled her into his embrace, and a certain mischievous hand started rubbing her abdomen.

“Hmm, nothing here on Ice Belly.”

Ke Mo narrowed his eyes, imitating her expression: “Looks like it’s in a more concealed spot; maybe it’s with the yummy stuff?”

Ying Bing felt his hand resting on her waist, and she opened her mouth to say something, only to be kissed before the words could escape.

Her mind was suddenly filled with pink bubbles, popping like fireworks, turning the Cold Fairy’s intelligent brain into mush.

With her icy lips, little Ke was completely focused, even while searching for something.

After searching for a while and panting, he cautiously opened his eyes to find Ying Bing scrutinizing him back.

It’s well known that Ice Chunk has a strong attitude.

But now, her charming little mouth was clamped shut, and her already flushed cheeks took on a rosy hue under his gaze, especially when she noticed little Ke looking at her with a bit of smugness—a feeling she found hard to swallow.

She was supposed to be the sister!

How could she let a childish ghost bully her?

And so, feeling a surge of undetermined strength, she grabbed his neck, flipped him over, and began to impose her superiority, staring down at him.

Ice Chunk probably thought her current expression was cold and unkind.

What she didn’t know, though, was that Ke Mo found her silly stubbornness endearing—even the way she leaned in to kiss him felt a bit clumsy.

“Little Ice Chunk, wasn’t it me who came looking for it?”

“It might’ve fallen onto you, so I have to look as well.”

Ying Bing put on a serious face (or at least she thought she did) as she leaned in.

But things were totally different from what she had imagined; this time, it was her who was pinning the childish ghost down. Why on earth did her brain still feel so fuzzy?

She probably had no idea.

This wasn’t really a pin-down; it was more of a soft resistance.

And the resistance wasn’t too intense; she quickly found herself being flipped, feeling her strength dwindling like a bubble in a hot spring, constantly sinking deeper and deeper.

Little Ice Chunk subconsciously wanted to grasp onto something, and lo and behold, she did.

“?”

Was that an imperial edict?

But wait, weren’t those supposed to be right here with her? When did little Ke take it away?

No, an edict could be held in one hand and wouldn’t cause one to fall sick.

Is it getting hot simply because one has a fever…?

“Little Ice Chunk, I’m not lying.”

Ke Mo’s sweet, soft lips hesitated for a moment, and as they parted, a glimmer caught his eye in the pitch dark.

“What do you mean you’re not lying?”

“The Hammer Treasure! It really can impact the heavens and the earth!”

Hearing the childish ghost’s raspy voice, Ying Bing’s heart fluttered, making it so that even deceiving herself felt cold and unfeeling.

“I… I believe you; it’s definitely Plan C…”

“Then it’s time to let me find it.”

“I… I’ve already found it.”

Ying Bing’s eyelashes fluttered as she quickly reached into the large doll’s pockets to retrieve the edict.

“No, not that; that’s the Hammer Treasure.” Ke Mo seemed oblivious to her and continued to fish around for goodies.

Thud—

The edict weakly rolled away, tumbling far along the ground.

“Childish ghost, listen to me…”

“Childish ghost?”

Just then, still being called a childish ghost, Ke Mo couldn’t hold back any longer; he playfully slapped her padded bumper—not once, but twice, the first because he couldn’t resist, and the second out of sheer mischief.

“Brother…”

At that moment, the cold fairy empress became surprisingly docile, curling up in his arms and pouting, delicately clutching his clothes.

It’s hard to believe this was the figure of a refined, cool fairy.

“Let’s do Plan C, then Plan B, then Plan A, okay?”

Ying Bing feared the dates on that edict would pass.

Little childish ghost would miss out on Ke Mo’s past regret—having never seen his parents get married in person.

By that time, if she were to retaliate, it would indeed feel like group bullying.

Is that fair?

That’s not fair…
